So, you're saying the point of this thread, after spending all that time elucidating where the TLT firing arcs overlap to provide guidance on where to attack, is to run straight into the teeth of the formation rather than coming in at the side which would not only minimize the TLT coverage, but remove the primary weapon attacks?

Given that squadrons aren't the focus of the game, they probably won't do this, or at least not too often. I wouldn't expect an X-Wing level of variety in terms of named pilots.

I doubt that FFG will do it this way. I do see them not putting out too many more squadron packs, maybe one per wave or so.

Well, aren't you a special snowflake. It's only required for tournament play. If you don't do tournaments, you're totally welcome to not use it. And FFG is well within their rights to make that requirement, just so everyone's on the same page.
