  1. Tarkin is good, as is Lords of the Sith. My favorite is A New Dawn, which prequels Rebels. Aftermath is decent, but a little unfocused. I've heard that it's supposed to be part of a trilogy.
  2. But hey, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before FFG comes knocking on someone's door, asking to hire them as a business analyst.
  3. And that's the main reason why I spend my time on those boxes... Stupid foam, Planos... After 3 actual built prototypes, about 20 wasted sheets of cardstock and about 8 hours of work I did it: Slightly more effort to build, but the destroyer fits firmly inside this amazingly sturdy (no kidding, I didn't expect it to be that sturdy) "MacroHangar", along with his GearBox. I have to admit, I'm somewhat self-satisfied... You could omit the little rectangle things, but they completely prevent the destroyer from rattling. And the large one under the lid holds the GearBox in place as well as helps increasing the sturdiness. Those look awesome. I cannot wait to get my grubby fingers on the file .

    I like M3-A's

I've gone 4-0 with it. It throws 16 attack dice, and is nearly as efficient as the basic TIE fighter (101.5%, per MajorJuggler's Math Wing)

I've had success with Serissu (20) "Heavy Scyk" Interceptor (2) Heavy Laser Cannon (7) Elusiveness (2) 3x Cartel Spacer (14) "Heavy Scyk" Interceptor (2) Heavy Laser Cannon (7) Flying in formation helps, as does taking evades instead of focuses.
  6. Ah I've missed that. Different art for each squadron type would still be good though The file for the carrier boxes does 10-, 8-, 6-, and 4-squadron boxes. I'm looking forward to doing some 4-squadron boxes myself when the art for R&V comes out.
  7. One box per faction would be great (4 per box) On a related note, would it be possible to do this for the wave 1 squadrons? A box to hold 4 of each squadron type (i.e. an A-Wing box, a B-Wing box, etc.). I tend to use 2 or 4 of each fighter type in my lists - so having one box for each would make setup and packing away a lot quicker and easier. Four-squadron carrier boxes already exist, so all that would need to be done is some new art.
  8. I took this last night while opening up my R&V packs: Looks like the Firespray is about 3-4mm taller. Every other squadron looks like they will fit.
  9. I prefer the current system, with the individual squadron boxes, but with the option of carrier boxes. Wave 2 images for the carrier boxes would be nice .
  10. Imperial Assault is also extremely broken as far as competitive balance goes and needs the releases to better flesh it out and balance it. Armada is very well balanced. Although my inner child wants more plastic spaceships and wants them now the adult in me understands that it takes a while to plan, design and test to ensure they do not break the game. I wonder if the mini's for Imperial assault are easier for them to produce. Probably. From all the mod threads, it looks like there is some significant construction involved.
  11. I saw that Wave 2 is still not available in Germany yet. I just finished the hangars for the last of my Wave 1 fighters, so I guess I can wait . Any chance that the Rogues & Villains boxes can come out before the ships?
  12. Complaining is humanity's favorite pass-time bar none. I'm not even joking. Yes, as a pastime, I agree it is among humanity's favorites. It also seems especially prevalent on this board
  13. Wow. First we have people complaining that they don't want previews N months in advance, and now we have people complaining that there isn't enough news. I guess releasing Wave 2 wasn't enough. Sheesh.
  14. Ha! Yeah I read that bit about THX-1138 and was like really? Why? No-one ever saw that film in the first place! Silly GL... Given that GL made billions from his movies, I'd say that he's entitled to make a change or two to the movies he's made.
  15. For me, I'm more than happy to lend ships to friends. I have at least one of everything, and having them available means more people get to play who otherwise wouldn't.
  16. Time to get straight out of this thread...
  17. I'm pretty sure you're thinking of the Ghost, buddy. The Phantom was the small attack shuttle. Anyways, yeah i really feel like the Phantom is gonna be way, way too good. Ezra alone looks amazing. PTL on Ezra for a stress every turn without a need to save a focus for defense? Oh my god, yes. Brain fart . D'oh!
  18. If you have been watching this season, it's quite clear that the Phantom outguns smaller ships. It's not a shuttle -- it's more along the lines of an upsized, upgunned YT-1300.
  19. why do people insist on fixing every ship in the game to make them great. some ships are just filler ships that fit in certain roles the best fix for some of these ships is opening up tournaments into scenario style games instead of straight up dog fights. not every ship should be competitive in every role. its the tournament setting that needs fixing, not the ships. if they keep fixing ships you will just be adjusting power creep and nothing more. I'd settle for playable. M3As are quite playable.
  20. That's true, but the cost of a squadron or two is going to be much higher than the average set of upgrade cards. Especially with small ships, it would only take a couple of ships getting decent rolls to see all those points go away. Given the lack of surprise, i.e., we know everything that our opponent has, it just seems to me to be putting a big target on any ships that attempts that.
