Has anyone measured this? Is a small base wider than range 1?

Well, for most general printing, it makes sense. PDFs scale well, and printing at 96% gives an extra bit of wiggle room in case your printer is slightly off. Unfortunately, the boxes require precise measurements, so we just have to be extra vigilant.

My group has put X-Wing on hold for the moment, and really taken up Armada. No doubt the Raider will bring X-Wing back to the fore, but Armada Wave 2 will be coming right on its heels. Variety is a good thing.

No, there is no precedence for this from FFG. Edge of the Empire is an RPG, not a miniatures game. FFG has stated on multiple occasions that they will not be doing booster card packs for X-Wing, and there is no reason to believe that they will change their minds for Armada. Whatever your feelings about the card choices (and frankly they're irrelevant), FFG undoubtedly has a better idea about what they are doing in terms of running their business. Given that they are making money hand over fist, I doubt that it's 'financial suicide' for them not to release card packs.

What is the height of your box? Mine are like 2 3/8 in. I even reprinted them and they are just a tad small. No big deal. I haven't measured them, but I printed them from the English Letter files at 100%. You should check your print preferences, as most PDF programs default to printing at 96%.

The pics are a little small, but for me at least, I've got my squadrons organized in the carrier boxes, so I know who is who.

I've gotten the following into my core box: * 3xVSD, 3xCR90, 3xNeb-B * gear boxes for all of those plus 2xAFmkII, 1xGSD * 2xCore Set carrier boxes + 20 squadrons * Ship cards * Damage cards Plus a little more room. I don't think that I'll be able to get my 2xIFS Carrier boxes (+8 squadrons each), 2xRFS Carrier boxes (+8 squadrons each) in there, or any of my AFmkIIs or GSDs when the microhangars for those come out. I'm using two shoe boxes for my overflow right now.

Escort doesn't have anything to do with firing at capital ships. That's engagement. Escort means that enemy fighters cannot attack non-escort fighters until all of the squadrons with escort have been destroyed.

I would avoid lead at all costs, given that steel is available and cheap. I've found that steel washers work great for squadrons, and they give the right amount of bottom-heaviness to them.

Ditto. Washers also help keep them upright when pushing the maneuver tool through a swarm of them.

If you don't care about tournaments, then feel free to proxy cards. I doubt that anyone would have a problem with that. Otherwise, you're most likely out of luck.

Yeah, some people don't really seem to understand what Canon and IP actually is. For an entity like FFG, which is subject to IP laws and contracts, they very much care what Disney/LFL says is or isn't canon. Actually since none of the Star Wars games that FFG produces are considered canon, they are all in the Legends/EU realm, meaning FFG can draw inspiration from any of the Legends/EU content with the Star Wars brand without having to worry about breaking "official canon". If all of FFG's games' content were considered canon, then over half of the EU has been dragged back into the canon via FFG, which is not the case. Note that also means that just because something appears in FFG's games does not make it part of the official canon. Actually, FFG has to get the ok for their choices with LFL, which is one of the reasons why we don't see very much errata.

I'll add that to my list, think it's not that big an issue EDIT: Hmm, looked again at the photos, seems more than 2mm. But it shouldn't be that much. What exactly is the height of your hangar? It should be 6.1cm or 2.4 inches (between 2 3/8 and 2 7/16 inch, if I calculated correct). You're box seems to be a bit lower. No, it has a fin, rather than a pole.
