  1. My local city (stacks of horse **** where 40k people live?) isn't worth talking about. BUT in two local towns it's double. I love the new rule set btw. I was late getting on with the original 1.0 falcon and lambda release. The change has been done well.
  2. These look dang cool, but is it me or do they look really tall? Almost squarish? 3-4 Pegs possibly needed?
  3. .. that Harry Nick alluded to on the YouTube Wave Four preview? For those more in the know, I'd like to hear a sentence a sentence or two about it and some tentative release date.
  4. T.O. !!!!! Are 3-D printed bombs legal in tournament play? The bases are exactly correct. The bombs rise up to about a peg in height. They look so dope. If another ship landed on them, they are removed anyway. If a ship had the ability to fly on them, the originals could be used for the match. How about acrylic asteroids/debris that are thr same height and shape as the originals?
  5. Warhammer contracts great books, had a fun game until they dumbed it down into an dice toss instead of having a mentor syspemt or a tiered riule system... Oh and they gave away the biggest i.p. in the world not owned by Disney to blizzard. W/E!
  6. yesterday was monday. man, it was nice
  7. man, this may be a wait and see when we get or khz and starv hero pack...
  8. Waives hand ... "This is not the Bossk/IG-88 build you are looking for..."
  9. Bring a Core 2 rule book and a printout of the last faq with you to every tourney (just put it in one of the FFG tourney folders and it'll look cool and official) to show the TO if you have a rules challenge. You can challenge even if it's not a rule breakage and openly troll someone who intentionally does that. I think shaming would make him try to keep it straight. If not, you can call the TO and ask for extra time for due to him trying to delay the game.
  10. Rules say you can modify pegs all you want. You can only paint ships and bases. If he put the magnet in the ship, you can challenge it. I have many modified and lit ships, but always bring a normal copy of the ship in case it's contested.
  11. The 5 ship Rebel A-Wing swarm called the Snap-Crack Swarm. (Two Snap Shot EPT cards come with Heroes of the Resistance.) 5 copies of the following A-Wing make the swarm: -------- pilot:(PS3) A-Wing Green Squadron Pilot, - (Squad Point Value 19 points) missile: (PS -2) Chardaan Refit, - (Squad Point Value -2 points) title: A-Wing Test Pilot (enables 2 EPT's), - (Squad Point Value 0 points) EPT1: Crack Shot, - (Squad Point Value 1 point) EPT2: Snap Shot, - (Squad Point Value 2 points) --------- Total Cost: (Squad Point Value 20 points) x 5 ships equals 100/100 I have played this squad, and it is viable against a number of totally different builds. Playing it is mentally taxing tough, because after you have used your Cracks to take down a prime target, you must use asteroids and what not to help you survive while you re-position. In the end game, you must pull off a planned envelopment trap designing the trap to get off multiple Snaps to do damage or at least strip the target of tokens before your range one attacks during the combat phase. That is a classic "Kill Box," and if done correctly, is extremely lethal, These Snap-Crack games tend to go close to time. Don't be afraid to take 2 or 3 turns to bugger out and re-position a number of ships. The 3 and 5 k-turns and the green 5-straight help in those situations. When all is said and done, you can win a Store Championship with this build. Palp-Aces, Dangaroo, whatever. I don't want to play this build in my scheduled Regional tournaments, Adepticon: Hoth, Gen-Con, or Worlds. I actually like this build, but it does wear you out mentally. A few games would be fine, but having to do what I said above for 8-10 games would lead to a lot of mistakes and burnout as game after game adds up. If anyone has played this build extensively, please post how you have done and post your competition. Enjoy. Pew. Pew.
  12. Looking to squire a full Team Cov. Awakened Navy Templet Set Send pm please Black/red mod of original
  13. Has no one made errata like this into an english home made card generator?
  14. My next two projects are a SWTOR Fury Interceptor and Cad Bane's Xanadu Blood (Cloakable) specialized fighter he recieved for stealing the holocron from the Jedi temple. Questions: I'm using a decimator as a base and I've parted out an Imperial Raider for the fury. No clue what to do for the Xanadu. Is there a good pilot card maker out there and and ideas on either projects would be really appreciated! Thanks a ton!
  15. My guys really don't like the disparity in the rule sets between small/large ships and huge ships. If you look at every video game and even movie released, smaller ships have more of an impact than thought on these huge ships, especially the smaller huge ships we are familiar with. I easily envision a huge ship being given an out line with certain sectors and weapons having compartmentalized sections of Shields, Hull, maybe weapons, maybe a very simple repair round at the end of the turn consisting of a D20 roll and a chart. Basically, you have a squad connected unto itself with some tricks up its sleeve and escorts. If anyone has this idea fleshed up, please pm me. I'f not, I'll work on it and make it available.
  16. I need just a CR-90 ship or two if possible, but would love as many turbo lasers, (turrets double lasers and fixed singles as possible) for My Archer project. Please sent me an pm. You can keep everything else for your other huge ships or other cr-90's, just wrap it in bubble wraps and sent it cheapo usps with a tracker (comes with the cheap box shipping.) Thanks so much.
  17. Dear fellow gamer, One of my partner refuses to play over 100 pts. WTB 1/2 IR XPac Did you buy any Imperial Raiders? I only want the Advanced Tie and their cards and accessories and cards. If you just want the huge ship and would like to sell or trade the Advanced Tie portion, let me know. Would you describe what is included and give me a flat price? I'll take up to as few as 1 or as many as 5 of what I think are 1 ship, 2 pegs, base, black base markers, 4 pilot cards, and eight or nine mod/elite/title cards, plus punch outs. Then you could keep, trade, sell ebay the Imperial raider, the box and clamshell, and all the cards and accessories for the huge ship. 1 shipment for S&H please.
  18. Thank-you! I couldn't remember them for the life of me!
  19. I have an extra Tantive IV CR-90 that I want to turn into the Archer, a CR-92a Assassian class Imperial ship piloted Ensign Nada'. I'm really just going to repaint to look Imperial (cleaner paint job with navy blue scheme instead of red) and add 3 Turbo laser turrets and am going to remove the com dish (which I am going to use to replace the round com dish on an extra Falcon that I am using to update it for the look of the Falcon on The Force Awakens.) Anyone know where to get the lasers?
  20. I appoligize, but could you fill me in on how they are changing the x1? do I have to rebuy TiE Advanced units after a certain date to get new cards? will they be marked?
  21. OK - some people play chess 1 move a week by snail mail, and some play speed chess with a short clock. I usually play X-Wing with 1 partner, and we WAY over think things. Don't laugh, well you will anyway, but it takes us 3 hrs to finish a 100 pt game with premade squads. So ... to try and speed things up, I got a Gaming/Chess clock. (it works for Warhammer as well, etc) I'm thinking of assigning a set time limit for each of the four phases. (3-4 ships per side). The time can be different for every phase, w/e, but if a player goes over, he must either remove a shield or hull token on a ship of his own choosing. Pretty much a delay of game penalty. I have no frame of reference. Any help in nailing down these parameters would be GREATLY appreciated! For reference, the turn order. How many min/sec per phase? (1) Planning Phase: (2) Activation Phase: Reveal Dial Set Template Maneuver Check for Stress Clean up Perform Action (3) Combat Phase: Declare Target Roll & Modify Attack Dice Roll & Modify Defense Dice Compare Results Deal Damage and Crits if Necessary (4) End Phase: Thanks in advance. We have a lot of dough invested in this game, but this is becoming frustrating. Hopefully we'll get out internal clock reset and can play a 45min-1hr game.
  22. You know how some people will take weeks to play 1 game of chess. Strat every turn 13 turns down; and some people play speed chess, 2 mins a move. Well we are the former. It takes us 3 hours just to play a 100pt game. That's with the squads pre-made squads and all. Trying to hurry us up, I bought a Game Time, it's like a chess clock but you can set it for Warhammer or what not. I though if a player went overtime during a part of a turn, he'd get 1 damage that he could assign to one of his ships. A delay of game call, essentially. My question is, with no frame of reference, how fast should we be going through the phases (say 3-4 ships per side): (1) Planing: (2) Activation: Combat: End:
