  1. I flew a similar list in my regional and regretted it ultimately. 2 dedicated support ships in a 4 ship rebel build was hard for me to beat dat chewies. But, in all my prep games, which were more casual, I had more fun and success. So it's a fun list, but it's not going to handle fat chewies on a regular basis. But you did learn that tl+f are very hard hitting. This little secret has been around since W1 and something I always fall back on when list building. I'm trying to get one if not two of my ships the ability to tl+f or some version of it. Predator, lone wolf. Great cards for stacking focus and rerolls. I'm not one for blaming dice. But I maximize every dice roll I can
  2. I have 2x bombers purchased on the same day at my lgs. One is blue grey the other is grey. I always thought that the base color was the color of the plastic and not painted. It's possible that the colors are inconsistent from batch to batch.
  3. The quintessential Dash build as crafted or made popular by Theorist. Beast of a ship. From there you have 42 points to fiddle with. I'm currently in love with Corran, vi, fcs, and r2d2. They have to deal with Dash which leaves Corran as an excellent end game piece.
  4. I might be wrong, but ptl doesn't work well with turr. His post attack shenanigans might be free, but they are still actions and as such are stopped by stress. I think. PTL on Turr is amazing. He can push whenever he takes an action. So that can come after he shoots and gets his free boost or barrel roll. So you can totally arc dodge after you get your shot off, plus you got an action before you shot.
  5. If you can, I'd get some clearity from the T.O. prior to committing to Jan Crew. it's hasn't been faq'd officially, so the question still looms whether she effects her own ship or not. Also, I'd rethink your Biggs stratedgy. I understand that your getting +2 agi, but it's costing you your action. Rolling any kind of naked dice is a bad thing. So that's why you have Garven and Roark. Roark buffs Garven and Garven passes to Biggs. There's synergy there, but who is Biggs protecting? As an opponent after I kill Biggs I'm not worried about much. Now you put Keyan in there with an HLC and PTL and you have a serious threat that Biggs is working to protect. I like flying Biggs, but when I do I expect him to die by about the second turn of fire on avg. Admitting that, I want him to be as keep as possible. I run him naked and try to cycle him in and out of range 1 of his buddies. But make no mistake, he will die. I'd rather spend those points on a ship he's protecting. See i like this idea but everything i work out is a 3 Ship List so with the points left over just being lumped on ships i came up with this... Biggs + R2-D2 Kyle + Ion, Recon Specialist Keyan + HLC, PTL, E2, Jan Kyle Generates 2 Focus, gives one to Biggs which becomes an Evade thanks to Jan and still has one for himself meaning Biggs is free to add his own Focus. Keyan doesnt really need Focus but can generate them for the sake of having a free one on offence and a spare for Defence or even Barrel Roll rarely. what about dropping kyle and the r2d2 off biggs. Go with Wedge and predator or wedge with ptl and a standard R2. Again, no matter how hard you try Biggs will die. You can still have Biggs take the evade, which helps because of his limited green dice. Again if the TO doesn't allow Jan to affect herself i would probably drop her and go Adv Sensor on Keyan. But with Wedge and Keyan there, your opponent has a tuff choice after Biggs falls, which is what you want.

  7. If your just playing casually with friends I would proxy the upgrades you don't have. It can be daunting starting out not having all the gear. You'll get there. I would reiterate what others have said and try and limit named pilots. In the beginning it can be tuff to remember all of the abilities and synergies. It's better to learn tactics and formation flying or the benefits of not flying in formation, than to worry about keeping track of what all your pilots are supposed to do or be good at.
  8. I think list 1 has limited damage output, but could be fun to fly List 2. Drop the torpedoes off Keyan and go hlc. Or spend those 8 points upgrading the a to named or ptl outmaneuver or opportunist. I'm not a fan of the ordinance in general.
  9. I really enjoyed Doug's soapbox moment. It's something that I've been noticing lately and has made these boards less enjoyable. I've been meaning to write up a post about it, but feared I didn't have a strong enough voice and it would simply turn into a flame war. Let's take our first world champs mantra to heart. Truly 'fly casual'. It's just a game. List can be beaten. Fly what you like. Dice even out in the long run, especially if you are using tokens and epts to enhance them. Good luck and have fun.
  10. Thanks guys I worked out when I was playing last night. The one thing that was good was that when I got the TL on the second shot I could use Pred or the TL depending on many misses there were. A couple of times I used Pred and was then able to keep the TL for my first shot when I came back in. With fcs the tl is continuous as long as you are attacking the same target. So you spend the tl on that attack and immediately get another one on the same target. With Corran the only benefit of predator is on the first attack. After that fcs takes over till you move to the next opponent. And start the process again.
  11. I'd go ptl. You already have tl with the fcs. And you added another action to you bar. Predator works great for ships with limited actions. I. E. An xwing. The e has so many more actions available it screams for ptl.
  12. Corran is quickly becoming my favorite pilot. His double tap can really put the pressure on an opponent. Coupled with FCS he eats Falcons for breakfast. Pair him with an R2D2 and he becomes very hard to kill. Your opponent has to put out atleast more than 1 point of damage, which can be difficult with a 3 evade ship, to hurt him. Meanwhile you take your double tap with tl. The odds are much more in your favor. I've had some amazing wins with him. I took down a healthy Bobba and slightly wounded Kath by himself. If I see him lined up opposite me, he's the first ship I target. I do not want to face a shield regening, double tapping killer in the end game. I'll loose.
  13. This game has gotten way too serious
  14. Corran +vi +r2d2 +fcs Pssst. He's better than Dash
