    What about those of us who do pay taxes and get totally robbed by child support.?

    well guess I'll just have to pick one or the other. Cant afford both right now, the wife is screaming about the house needing paint.

    Here's what you can do.

    1. Get a half inch or one inch thick sheet of blue styrofoam insulation from home depot.

    2. Go to pat catans or a craft store and look for a roll of 2mm thick black foam.

    ( this is that foam that you can use to make letters or cut outs or something like that)

    3. Tacky glue.

    4 cut the black foam 3x3 and glue it to the blue foam.

    5.us the wife's rolling pin to smooth it out...watch for it slipping untill it starts to dry.

    6. Get a can of spray adhesive. Randomly blast it all over the foam.

    7. Apply silver glitter. Scrape it with a light brush when dry, touch up any empty spots.

    8. Clear coat it with hair spray or I used games workshop clear coat.

    9. Get ear plugs.

    The wife is gonna go buck nutty after you just trashed her rolling pin and have gotten glitter all through tne house.

    10 enjoy your new light weight board and possibly your new divorce as well but hey...

    Totally worth it.

    I punch every thing out.

    I keep enough to support two lists.

    The rest gets sorted into all of those little crack baggies that you get with each ship.

    I save the little dots from the dials etc. But I'm using those for a future project.....I just don't know what yet.

    OH! And those proof of purchase things too.

    Well crap !

    I guess the next month is going to be pretty **** expensive.

    I watched this. And two things are happening to me at the moment.

    A. A little bit of my childhood just died from watching that.

    Attack wing huh?....

    Anyone remember a game called mage knight ?

    Wiz kids will do attack wing the same way they did mage knight.

    And then you will be left with no support, no one to game with and boxes full of ships that sit in your attic.

    Everytime you look at them you will just sigh and say "would have, could have joined the dance."

    Im not gonna talk smack about wiz kraps, but they are the proverbial turd that needs flushed from the gaming industry.

    Makes me wonder if people on the rebel side will start using the 2 falcons butted together and just outlast everything going to time.

    As for me, I don't know how many tournaments I will ever get to play, but if I do I intend to bring it.

    Im not gonna turtle up in the corner of the board and act like a chicken. Hell this game is a dog fight, might as well jump in with the rest of the pack and howl lik mad.

    I will lose, but at least my opponent will have to work for it and I would rather be a good sport at the end of the day.

    Look at it this way.

    Which one of these games is the most recognized?

    Almost everyone has heard of star wars, can the same be said for DZC ?

    In this day you are more likley to go to a game store and get a quick pick up game of x-wing than you are for dropzone.

    Besides.... you want 15 pages of rules, or you want 120 pages to learn.

    It cost me 117.00 to buy into X-wing that got me :

    Starter set

    Extra dice

    Falcon

    Firespray

    A-wing

    Y-wing.

    That was plenty to mess around with untill I just went all pokemon on this game and bought the rest.

    Even still, I only have about 265.00 total.

    How much is it gonna cost to get up and running in DZC?

    Im putting this out there a a chance for all of us to put our collective list building wisdom in.

    For example . When making a list I should always use at least 3 ships. Or

    When making a list you should always use marksmanship with han solo.

    Feel free to cover any basics.this might seem like common sense to veterans, but sometimes new people are just looking for some basic Quick tactics, without having to search 5 different forums

    And 70,000 posts.

    So let 'er rip. Maybe this will help some folks out.

    Here's a question to all imperial players: What can you do about it.?

    Answer: Not a **** thing.

    This goes for the rebel player's as well.

    Contrary to popular belief this game and its future expansions are not open to some democratic voting , and then FFG goes back to the design table and comes up with something that makes us all scream with joy and pee our pants.

    I understand that there's frustration with some things. You get that in every game. But geez, cant we just be happy with the fact that we even have this game to play?

    Here's another question, think hard on this before you answer.

    If this is the only thing in your whole life that happens to you, from here on out how well off will you be?

    yea my aunt asked me that question yesterday......she just turned 109.

    I've been reading this thread with interest. Now I'm gonna come in here.

    Last week, I found miniature market and spent 2 days drooling over their entire site.

    So I made up about a 150.00 order. But! I had some questions.

    I spent an entire day trying to get someone to answer the phone. No luck.

    So they lost 150.00 order and the warstore got it instead. The point: Be accessible.

    As for the LGS debate, this isn't the only forum to have the big debate and it **** sure wont be the last.

    In my area alone there are 8 different places to go that supports various different games.

    All of them are smart enough to not rely just on magic as their primary sales engine and the one guy I know has just opened up his 3rd store this past fall. Which is pretty amazing considering how much thie economy still sucks.

    All of them know about the Internet, most of them will try to give discounts (notice I said try). But the main reason I will support them is because......

    They answer the phone. They are accessible.

    I have a budget. I make that known. I spend what I can mostly at my LGS and then if and only if the LGS cant get what I need, then I go to the inter webs of doom.

    I like to have it NOW !! I can't stand waiting around my mail box for several little ships to show up when I could be doing other things with my time. But thats just me. Old and cranky. ! Lol.
