    Shop owners know that internet sales are much lower than what they can offer.

    Those that don't, aren't going to stay in business that long.

    On the flip side, how would you like it if I came to your house weekly and ate all of your potato chips,

    And never offered to buy any my self ?

    I would consider it somewhat rude, at least buy a ship or pack of cards or something to help out the store.

    Do you have to do that every time ? NO !

    but every once in a while helps.

    The difference between brick and mortar stores, and places like mimiature market, are like night and day.

    But one thing is for sure, if the guy who owns the LGS, doesnt bust his ass on a daily basis, he doesnt eat, nor do his kids.

    Lights don't stay on, and suddenly..... You have no place to play.

    I dont believe there is any certain set percentage of how much you should spend, hell most of theses store owners are doing

    This for the love of gaming too, but they still have bills, and I don't think any of them would expect you to spend your last dime either.

    Good luck striking a balance.

    Ya I'm kinda getting pumped.

    I pre ordered 2 E wings and 2 defenders today.

    For some reason I'm just not thrilled at this moment with the other two ships, but who am I kidding, I'll get them all eventually.

    My case is somewhat similiar. While I cant go into details, I will say this.

    Once you are in the system, your life is hell from there on out. Its been two years since ive worked.

    Finding a job is completely an uphill battle not to mention the shunning of social and religious circles as well.

    I posted a little flyer in my LGS! asking to meet anyone who plays this game and if they would be willing to meet

    Somewhere. Ive got a couple of calls and I got one guy who is a long lost friend and we are meeting up at my house next week.

    It beats being by yourself.

    I have to see her in a public place each weekend. This goes on until the middle of summer.

    After that its pre trial time. My daughter gets to tell the court her opinion during that time.

    After that I should be able to go back to a standard visitation.

    I can't openly talk about the case yet. But let me say this.

    Not all women are bad or evil, but some like to use lies and threats in order to get leverage

    In a relationship. The justice system saw right through all of that and I was cleared of any wrong doing.

    But, before it was all said and done I was looking at 8 years in prison just based upon a lie.

    Crazy stuff .

    Know your list.-know it and know it well, and dont change it the night before.

    Ibuprofen, aspirin, what the hell ever.- headaches happen, if you gotta go into the long haul you **** sure want to do it pain free.

    For that fact alone, if you take medications, make sure you bring them.

    Proper mind set. -any tournament that I am gonna play, be it magic, xwing, or even ping pong, I stick to a plan and I quit playing several days before.

    The reason is this, it allows you to clear things up in your life, it clears your thinking and allows you to approach your intended game plan fresh.

    Dont worry how you will do, if you are, then you should have been doing all of your worrying during practice, nows the time to just let it flow.

    Thanks guys.

    The last time I seen my daughter, was June 18th 2012. She stood in the driveway and said "I love you dad, I'll see you next week"

    That day never came. People lied, I got put away, and her mother retaliated while I was gone. I couldn't even defend my self.

    Two years later she's now 13, and I'm told she can sing like a bird and wants to know if I saved her cars from forza 4

    So we can race again :)

    I can't stress this enough. Future proof.

    Spend the money now and get it. Yes its big, but you can get extra boxes and change them out to suit your needs.

    Besides, do you really want to be that guy with a wimpy little box that makes a little tinkle sound when you set it down?

    OR ! Do you want the satisfying sound of the hammer of thor shaking the room when you bring this case into the room ?

    Be a man damnit !!!

    My local event is scheduled for may 30th. I basically won.

    How you ask ?

    Yesterday after 3 hours in court, the judge awarded me my visitation back to my daughter.

    I'm to see her on the 30th. Its been 2 years. No contact, no letters , nothing.

    This has been the longest fight of my life, its still not over yet, but its a step in the right direction.

    Maybe I can teach her this game and we can get to go to the next event together, either way it's

    A victory for me.

    As for the rest of you guys.... Good luck in your events.

    Of course I love in Ohio and for some **** reason it refuses to get warm.

    I got a bunch of rare earth magnets though if it does decide to act up.

    Failing that, Gorilla tape fixes everthing haha.

    There is no such thing as too many ships.

    Besides, some where some third party company with a hard on for kickstarter cash is gonna make a death star the size of a

    Small playground and we will all eventually be flying 30 plus ships om movement trays and they will add a new phase to the game, something like the force phase.

    After that will be chairs in the shape of turbo laser turrets and you take turns by shooting each others ships off the death star.

    FFG needs bulk package of x wings and ties.

    Which sucks a big one.

    I was kind of hoping we could use it as terrain instead of those boring asteroids.

    Think about it , after you flip the ships base to blank Starfield it really isn't a ship, but just another table decoration.

    Thanks for the responses guys,

    Sorry I haven't been on, the wife wants the entire house repainted inside.

    I fell last night off one of the step stools and now I can't even lift my left arm above chest level.

    I will look into Determination though.

    I just want to make chewie be able to take the heat off of my a wings long enough for them to Alpha Strike one or two ships on the board, this allowing my favorite wookie to have a easier time with clean up.

    I love getting broken models. . seriously, I do.

    First, it gets me a discount. Then I take it home and go all Frankenstein on its ass.

    I then have a fully functional ship and a little extra cash in my pocket.

    Thats how I got my 2 B wings. Couldnt find them anywhere, then my lgs got a shipment in and some stuff was damaged. The store owner offered them to me and I jumped like a frog on them.

    I figured I was gonna catch crap about using a wings. Glad my thinking wasn't too far off.

    I have B wings as well, but for some reason, I just can't seem to get along with that ship.

    With the Imdar event. Coming up at the end of this month,

    Ive decided to go with what I am most comfortable. Chewbacca,.

    Usually I just run him with draw their fire, and a hull upgrade. However I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share their best "Tank" ?

    Now here's the weird part, was also thinking about running A-wings in the list.

    Kind of like little hummingbirds buzzing around a big flower thingy. I figured I could use draw their fire to help keep the little buggers alive and maybe even deliver a nice missile or two down someones throat.

    Any ideas...?
