Barrage is alot harder to deny. If you lock the same target it just runs, if you spread your locks individual bombers get dodged.

With seven factions and a huge backlog of ships to re-release as 2.0 expansion pacs, I'm not so sure ace packs are likely to be a thing... If they are, we are likely talking 3-4 years out.Nit to mention the reason for ace packs (fixing ships by giving slots or changing points) is handled by the app

I've had some moderate success with 2 strikers, 2 crack shot interceptors, and a juke phantom

11 minutes ago, BVRCH said:Literally the first rule for modifications;
Players may paint their ship models. They cannot modify a ship model in any way that would create confusion about which ship the model represents.
This refers to the ship's appearance in general. Painting counts as modifying a model. You can't have ships looking like other valid ships. The TIE/ln is the only instance of the same model representing 2 different ships of different factions. If you were playing a rebel TIE (with an imp model) against an imperial TIE swarm, your opponent has a right to complain if they believe your ship ship is confusing the game.Like I said, some TO's will let it fly, some won't, and I wouldn't risk it.
EDIT: Note that in 1.0 the 2 Falcon models do not follow this rule as they are under the same faction. In 2.0 the Scum Falcon could be considered in kind with the above as the 3 models now represent 3 different factions.
Modify a ship model is the key word there.

Zeb is useless in my eyes, unless you don't own a Z95 to take in his place.
Sabine is a handy filler flanker with her ability, with Juke/Crack Shot/Predator she can actually do a (bit) of damage. If you have 32pts to fill she can be useful, however naked Rex is also 32pts.
Ezra is a waste of Ezra in this TIE. Every other iteration of Ezra is better than his TIE pilot card. He has a force point which is of note I guess. All I see is expensive I3.
Overall its good if you want to make a 'full house' Spectre themed list. Competitively Rex is solid enough. The attack shuttle is a much better ship for only slightly more points if you wish to fly these pilots though.
Sabine's TIE is actually the exception to the rule (as will the Mining TIE). The rules state you cannot make a model look like another valid ship. Whilst using an unmodified imperial TIE model is not tampering in itself, it looks like an imperial TIE not a rebel TIE. If you were playing against an imperial list and your rebel TIE looked like an imp, some TO's would take issue with it. Casually, go for your life; competitively, I wouldn't risk it.
That's for modeling, not painting.

But they can nuke the guy that bumped the rear of the one you bumped, potentially saving your bacon from dice variance.

Iden costs 8 less than two TIEs
Her ability, very roughly, equates to an additional TIE (you blow it when your TIE would die)
Except that additional TIE is a Howlrunner (also 40 points)
The actual value estimation is obviously a little more complex, but in practice it equates to having to kill Howlrunner twice
keep in mind this means you've paid for Howlrunner twice to give her an extra life. That seems fair to me.

Out of context, this sounds like a simulator run. "If this patch fails..." Given I don't know the context, that's how I'm taking it.

Since 2.0 will be in everyone's hands soon, let us leave 1.0 with fond memories, and cast aside thoughts of what it became. In that spirit I ask you, what was your favorite moment in 1.0?
I have 2; the first being a whisper mirror duel in a regional. My opponent and I had cleared out each other's support and were vying to get the final arc to seal the deal. After several turns of decloak into decloak with no shots fired, I barrel roll decloaked into a K-turn right behind his, and with the tv's target lock from last shot the game was mine.
The other was out Fenning Fenn. My opponent had a Parattani variant and had put Fenn in a position where he had to hard 1 or hit a rock. I had 5-forward-boosted Soontir at the formation hoping for range 3 shots, and was in perfect position to 5 straight-boost-roll for the block and get range 1 on his Inaldra, which lucky dice decided would come off the board with that shot.

Getting the "meh" feedback on the 2.0 version of this ship is one reason I wouldn't bother going Imperial. I've been living on TAPs and Silencers since the Squint was always not so hot.
Seeing it down to 4 pilots in 2.0 is a bummer, too.
Point me at the naysayers, I'll challenge them to pistols at noon!
But seriously, focus into boost or roll for the block is going to be amazing.
