To be fair if you're banking on the last round of swiss you probably aren't doing the greatest anyway, so I don't see why people get so upset

Cards with the ACTION header are not added to the bar, but do take your action. This matters because of the crit that makes you lose the ability to take actions listed on your bar. Upgrades like engine upgrade and others that read 'X gets added to your action bar' are neutralized but you can still use Expert Handling and other cards with the ACTION header because it isn't part of your action bar.

The way that's worded I would say yes, spend one to trigger calc. spend another (or keyan's stress) to flip the rest. You're not modifying a die more than once, so you should be good. As far as Ten goes I think he means because the crit can't be dodged his ion would always hit with this, provided he rolls at least one eye

Tactically speaking, it makes sense for the TIE carriers (whichever they are) to stay out of the battle anyways. The Raider holds the role of front line fighting with fighter support while the carriers just babysit their little goslings that are the hyperspace incapable squints, eyeballs, and dupes.

Ptl's there for the boost/barrel roll combo or boost/focus and such so he can keep up with Vader. TL+focus is just icing on the cake when it happens

So I've got a doozy of one. Turn one, Echo goes 4 forward and expects no harassment, so she cloaks to do fun things next turn. Then Corran Horn 5 forwards straight at her, both of them having been deployed as far forward as possible landing him just at the extreme of range 3. Hit Hit Crit was his roll, and on 5, not 3 or 4, but 5 dice not a single picture. So we go shield, shield, aaaaaand who would have guessed DIRECT HIT!!!

Personally I have yet to fly a ship I can't figure out. That being said, I rarely foray into the large base end of the pool, but my Rear Admiral+Soontir works wonders so I'm wondering how my bounty hunter/OGP game will be. I think I'm gonna go set up an obstacle course to go fly through now.

My Build was Darth Vader -Outmaneuvre -Engine Upgrade -Procket Maarek Steele -Push The Limits -Engine Upgrade -Procket Kir Kanos The idea is rush in for a 1-2 punch on a priority target with Vader/Steele, hopefully pulling a couple crits with Steele after dropping shields with Vader. All the while Kanos hangs back and snipes with his amazing ability for hunting aces.

Chewie doesn't negate Rex's ability, quite the opposite. His is the only one that negates Chewie's as the cards are dealt facedown, even the crits per Chewie's ability. Then Rex's ability is triggered, flipping them face up. -
So I've been trying to make the advanced work since before proton rockets (now to be referred to as 'prockets'). I've always felt the Dark Lord of the Sith should have amazing board presence, even though the ship he is carried in is statistically not that great. I've also always looked highly upon Maarek Steele's ability, even though it doesn't trigger often. That being said, once prockets came up with a three advance build, using both uniques and a generic with the things. It's alright until I fly against a turret that always runs away. Tonight however, I subbed out the generic for 24 points of Kir Kanos to great effect in an amazing match at my flgs. My opponent was running ACD Whisper, tooled out Carnor Jax, and Dark Curse. I set up with Kanos off on his own in the corner and my two advanceds near the middle, allowing Kanos to slow play behind them while they dashed in. Both forces converged in a tight asteroid field and Kanos knocked 3 of Dark Curse's 4 hp (hull upgrade) in round 1 of combat, but both prockets netted me only 2 shields of damage on whisper due to Jax's intervention. Her return fire put Steele down to 2 hull and a few rounds later he was off the board, and Vader's shields were down. Finally Vader gets a range one, unanswered shot on the phantom and dusts her, and Kanos cleans up Dark Curse after taking a hit. It's now down to an injured Kanos and Vader against a fresh Carnor Jax, with my ships in a pincer but not in firing arc of Jax. We danced around each other for a few turns and I trade Kanos for Jax's shield and hull upgrades, and now its 3 hull Vader against 2 hull Jax. At this point, the match is decided. We play it out, but there's no chance for Jax to get Vader in arc. Even when I'm surprised by Jax pulling maneuvres that keep a PTL's stress in exchange for an opportune shot, boost+barrel roll gets me clear every time and I maintain range two when I do return fire, letting me TL+focus to eventually punch a hit crit through for the game. All in all it was an amazing game and I can't wait for the Raider to make Vader the true terror of the 3'X3'

As far as the 1st list goes, losing the droid and illegal ept means you can put wingman on etahn so you're always getting that extra die and a crit. You can also give Janson the stress bot so they are actionless and stressed. -
So I must admit the proton bomb is my favorite upgrade in the game, hands down. If I can find 5 points in a list that can carry one, I will. Here's my take on the most wanted box on release day. Emon Azzameen (36) -intelligence Agent (1) -Andrasta Title (0) -Proton Bomb X3 (15) Syndicate Thug (18) -"Genius" (0) -Bomb Loadout (0) -Proton Bomb (5) Syndicate Thug (18) -Unhinged Astromech (1) -Proton Bomb (5) Is the list competitive? Maybe not. Is it funny as all hell? Absolutely.

I've always wondered why an S shaped maneuvre (like using a 1 bank right followed immediately by a 1 bank left) wasn't part of the game (outside of ptl).

Based on how often my green dice fail Rexler I'm gonna say defensive, 3 agi on a big ship is nice but it's only protecting two more effective health than my defender.

Personally I like the interaction of Accuracy Corrector and Cluster Missiles, either I roll three naturals or I get two hits, whichever works
