I've recently been having a lot of success running two autothrusted Black Sun Enforcers with Drea Renthal and a Binayre Pirate, managed to hem in an ATC Vader after killing off his escorts. A lot of it seems to come down to dice, but pilot skill 1 S-loop block followed by a speed 1 maneuvre means either a couple turns of actionless target or a shot at their rear usually.

I personally like KKKSZ, the Starviper with thrusters makes a great flanker for your main body and has been lasting me longer than I usually expect

Add evade to your action bar should be Han Solo's pilot ability, I refuse to believe that a (highly modified) civilian freighter can dodge better than a fighter craft designed for battle from the ground up.

Give Talon a stealth device and he's three, double R3 bonus for 5, cloaked for 7, bodyguard and rock for max of 9

Talonbane can also hit 9 defense with this.

What about this: Blount with VI and Tracers (19) Gold Squadron Pilot X2, each with plasma torps, proton torps, an R2, and autoblaster (56 for both) and Biggs (25) The basic idea being Range 2 engage with Biggs at 3, fire the relevant torpedoes with TL and Focus after Blount's auto hit, and hope you can set up another 1-2 punch on the turn around while discouraging the close to R1 with autoblasters.

The howlrunner, assuming she's at R3 with a defensive token and the academies are R2 with focus.

So I look at the name of this squadron, Black Eight Squadron, and I wonder to myself why the Eight? It just sounds silly. Is it comprised solely of clones of Black Eight, one of Vader's personal squad members? Are their eight ships in the squadron? Did they want to call it Black Squadron but then realized that generic already exists? Were they making a name for a unique pilot, realize both already had names, and then decide to just slap 'Squadron' on the end? Does it matter? For the sake of the Devs I think we should all post silly squadron names here, to which I contribute: The Screaming Wookie Squadron Pilot, PS 1 Y-Wing

The goal with this kind of list is to kill with a thousand cuts, only leaving yourself with a shot if the opponent can't have one. Yes you still lose 100 points if they table you, but (unless you come up against decivader) with good flying you should be able to at least run the clock out.

I don't think you want to put that many points into Biggs Serissu, 3 HP just isn't that great when you don't have all the tokens+thrusters.

Personally, if I'm going Decimator and interceptor I fly R.A.C. Isaard, Vader, Rebel Captive, Expose and Experimental Interface. Soontir Fel usually rocks PTL, thrusters and a targeting computer, because if I'm putting that many points into a 3 hp ship, it needs to be able to do reliable damage and with Soontir, I should be able to work my way into 1 or less defending rolls a round, meaning my TL+Focus+Evade should be enough to weather it and punch hard.

They do. Unless you're MegaSilver and manage to only take the shield off a HWK with [hit][hit][hit][crit][crit]. how does that even happen?
