  1. To be honest, Autothrusters should keep you golden more often than not; And when you can't have those, sensor jammer is really funny.
  2. I've been seeing some success with a red squadron Veteran with predator and auto thrusters flanking for 50 points of generic Y and B wing with an ion toting Z-95 to fill.

The noble onion has long been a staple of every meal, pairing well with its contemporary the potato. To see you mock it instills a manly rage in my belly (though that could just be acid reflux XD)

    Hey everyone, let me preface this by saying I have never played the TIE Swarm until today. That being said, the FO was instrumental to victory. I ran- Howlrunner -Determination Omega Squadron Pilot -Draw Their Fire Omega Squadron Pilot Black Squadron Pilot X2 Night Beast -Twin Ion Engine Mk II 99 Points overall. How has everyone else been acclimating FO's into their normal swarms? I've seen PTL swarms with Epsilon Leader as well as Howlrunner, going down to 5 TIEs; but I've been wondering how the rest of the community sees them.

  9. I have to disagree, if only a little. I flew against a swarm consisting of Epsilon Leader, Howlrunner with PTL, Black Squad with PTLX2, and Obsidian SquadX2 and got wrecked. when three ties have focus evade and no stress, the two that don't are bumping you, and the one that you can shoot without two tokens is at range 3, its hard to take them down before you lose a significant amount of firepower. That being said I cringe at the thought of the generics, while so far I've been loving the T-70 generics.

I'll give you my regionals list that took me to 12 at WI Whisper-32 -Advanced Cloaking Device 4 -Veteran Instincts 1 -Intelligence Agent 1 Storm Squadron Pilot 23 -Proton Rockets 3 (added post regional) -TIE Advance X1 -Accuracy Corrector Soontir Fel 27 -Push The Limits 3 -Royal Guard Interceptor -Autothrusters 2 -Targeting Computer 2 100 Points. The game plan here is to use the Advanced as bait while still having PS over most swarms, allowing it to get a shot or two in before burning up as it is the easiest ship to remove from the board. While this is happening, your aces flank to either side of the opponent carefully, ready to play rabbit with either when your opponent decides to turn towards them. By the time they make the call it is usually too late as 4-5 dice in the exhaust burns through most anything right quickly. I haven't tested it against TLT swarms yet, but in theory it should be pretty favorable for Soontir. Its one bane is the Doomcimator, there isn't a ship in this list that can stand up to its gunner and if they take a hit the crit has a chance to kill. That being said, with the new partial points system I don't expect to see much of that particular build anymore.
  11. Personally I would have liked them to make crits even less forgiving; every upgrade removable, with double damage if the effect doesn't apply. This way makes a good fix as well, at least there really isn't a dud crit like there used to be.

  13. I don't understand the mindset of being against it. No ones making you play with it or like the new ships. They're making you play with it /if/ you want to play official ffg events, or events using official ffg tournament rules. Now forgive me if I'm mistaken but your average competitive player has at the bare minimum of one of everything just for the upgrade cards. I don't see how this is any different than that. As a community we've been saying to each other that logistically speaking, a new damage deck would be messy, but for he state of the game necessary. So why is everyone losing their mind?

    Painting advice

    Hey guys, I'm having a bit of trouble with a couple paint jobs and would like advice from our more seasoned painters. The first thing I'm having trouble with is patterns, specifically the checkerboard on Sabine's TIE from rebels and the hounds tooth pattern for its namesake. What's a good way to do these without it looking awful?
  16. I really like the idea of Carnor Jax + Push the Limit + Autothrusters here. I think his maneuverability complements the squad well. Asperon's suggestion of Soontir is alright, but without Proton Rockets there is really no reason to fear Juno - she'd need Advanced Targeting Computer instead of Accuracy Corrector. I suppose you could give up her VI to get ATC, but I have a feeling there is a good reason you want PS 10. Personally, I think she's fine at 8. She's my counter to Jake/Soontir. Her ability lets me get in close for a well timed procket to their face.

So I've got this as the core of the list: Juno Eclipse -Veteran Instincts -Proton Rockets -title/ accuracy corrector Deathrain -Extra Munitions -Connor Net -Proton Bomb Leaving me with 31 points. So far I'm thinking a buzzsaw Vader shuttle, but I don't like my odds if they're not willing to joust me. Thoughts?

    The blue squadron ace can also use this guy to move at a rock then 1-hard boost through it
  20. My problem's not the HWK's dial per se, its that it should have the K-wing's dial and vice versa
  21. They could do an aces pack with extra dials in it. Same way as the most wanted pack
  22. Personally I feel like some ships (lookin at you HWK) just need a straight up replaced dial, rather than getting an upgrade card that switches it.
