  3. I dont think the legion event was the main reason. X wing podcasts have been wanting floor rules since the introduction of rebel captive in 1.0. It spiraled out from there. Looks like ffg finaly gave us what they wanted but this is a cover all games document. Soo i believe you will here people ask for specific floor rulings for every trigger in every game. Which wille be annoying as that will be a lot of reading
  4. Squadrons are fine the way they are no need to change them. The comment about scatter reduce damage to a minimum of 1 has me intrested tho. Make it easier to hit those little support ships. Only down side is 3 squadrons with scatter will struggle to hold of a bomber wing. Will be think on this for a bit
  5. I'm sure anyone dumb enough to spend $800+ on 4 SSDs to put in 1 list will also more then likely think Motti would work .........you know that does sound like fun and I am the guy likely to do something that stupid

True but Garm works in this list for the why I would fly it and the tactics I would use. there is no real rule that says this Admiral must go with this ship, except Konstantine, he goes with no fleet , its all about what tactics you wish to employ with your list and admiral that matter. the hope would be that my opponent would thing its a waist not knowing I have a larger plan
  8. Not a fan of Hondo as in this list he will only give you 1 chance to use IFF and can also give your opponent a leg up also. Dodonna is Cheaper but, at least in my Area, unless you can trigger a special crit Dodonna does not get a lot of use for 5 points Garm really gives you more Flexibility. Dropping a A wing for a flotilla or Mon Mothma or Rieekan is a option but again in my area Shara and 4 A Wing is the right mix to counter the SQ balls I see.

The beautiful thing about Germ is he takes away the stress of getting the dials right and leaving your ships open to naving for the first 2 rounds/however long it takes to get to combat, allowing you to take full advantage to the maneuvers you can do. With the pelta Garm it works well as Asoka will change one of your tokens to a CF token so you will always be able to trigger IFF allowing the ship to use it's dial to it full potential. Naving where you need to go, dropping more dice with a CF. If you change it around a bit you can add ET and really make it move On the corvettes you give them a nav token at the start deploy at speed 3 Nav into position for the first few rounds open up with a CF command and use the token to slow you down or speed you up if you have already dropped to get you out of danger if you slowed already. Nav is IMO the most important command you can give a hammer head. With the lack of movement at speed 3 it really needs it. On round 5 you can give them a nav to escape or repair token paired with a dial and flip a bad crit. Even tho garm only gives the hammer head 1 token if it's the right token it can change the game And he is only 5 pts

  12. HAHA what a way to stall then lose a game   Funny how the commentators and people online were saying what does FFG need to do to fix this? Nothing its how the players chose to play cant do any thing about it games are timed thats all that is needed
  13. they did 2 ship cards for one ship in X Wing epic and it was a pain in the butt. just more stuff to carry and keep track of I dont think you play X Wing one of the biggest troubles with the new cards all being the same size is they take up a lot of table space. the worse ones are the duel sided ones. ive seen some payers who's ships are the same with the same upgrade cards that do not have charges or need flipping stack them all in one sleeve only taking them out if an opponent needs to read one. but most of the time players carry a print out any way and use that as the references to there list YASB is good for that. the cards are only there because rules need them to be but many of us just work off printouts they are only good for casual fun as the ships are rarely built optimally or with things you would use. They can be a kinda teaching aid but can also be a bad way to teach, "what do you mean Fen cant have Afterburners in a tournament it comes i his pack and I can play it in Quick build. I feel the same but I dont know if you could fix this as in the example of X Wings if they were always the best ship then FFG would never sell another Squadron pack as those Squadrons will always be not as good as a X Wing The aggressive release's is to try to take business from GW catching as many 40K players as they can. dont know if its working tho as at least in vic not a lot of people play it in stores that I have seen. Armada has no real competitor in its space and i think that is why FFG has been treating it as the forgotten child for so long. there focus to push Legion and X Wing 2.0 has been the biggest problem this game has faced. Lets hope that the dark days have come to an end
  14. maybe we should put the call out there for some one in the community to make one for us. If I had the skill I would do it but Im not there yet. Go have a look at the FFG X Wing app and you will see they are not good hands to leave this request in.

I don't think Armada has had the problem of needing a card to fix another card yet the way X Wing did. the only thing that comes close is Strategic Adviser but lately I'm viewing this card as a crutch and have stopped using it in my fleets as it prevents me from coming up with better tactics. one of the funniest things you made me think of when you mentioned Stagnation, right before X Wing 2.0 was announced the game was always growing tournaments were getting bigger despite all the problems within the game. Stagnation was something that only players who could not fly new lists or use different tactics would suffer from. Something I had thought that right before 1.0 was axed it seemed like FFG had finally gotten the game right. some things still persist but gone were the days I would go to a tournament and play 6 swiss rounds against the same 2-3 lists. I feel 2.0 has brought that back. but that is just my experience Stagnation in Armada comes from FFG not giving us new ships or any news for i don't even remember how long. not having available stock for shops to sell unless they were Victory class star destroyers (at least in OZ). Not having core sets was the greatest crime. how can a game grow if you dont even have core set to sell??? Gamers will come and go from a game system but without stock to sell to new players your group not get any new blood and will die of natural causes
  16. Yeah NO. FFG cant even make a descent X Wing app what make you think they will do a good job for Armada? Ryan Kingston web builder works great on my Tablet never had a problem with it because there is nothing complicated about it. its the reason why most people use YASB for X Wing instead of the app fast and simple

Wouldn't it be interesting if a Han from the first player was able to kill a Bail on the second player before it could activate first that round I guess the question is what happens first "may" or "must"? i always thought "must" has to happen before any "may" ability can. either way I think I like the idea of having 2 activation's in a row as second player
  18. Say i have Bail to trigger in round 3 and i want to also trigger Han. Both say at the start of the ship phase. does this mean i do Bail then Han or the other way around or only 1 of them as i would be getting 2 activations?
