  1. Having mediocre luck with this list and wondering how I should play next session. At this point, we're at round 4 of the campaign and I had to spend all but 7 points this round to unscar everything and buy one upgrade (all reflected here.) So in addition to general feedback I'd love to hear how you would fly this list and what I might consider doing with it come next round of resources. Right now the plan's to hunker down, squads included, and stick together until about round 4 at which point all bets are off and I focus on winning the squadron game for points and roasting a ship or two for insurance, just for some idea of the direction I want to head with the build. Thanks! 2. ..Yes, thank you. Can't believe that got through 4 proofreads. Have fun if you go.
  3. Hello! Dave and Adam's Card World in Williamsville will be hosting a tournament at 12:00PM on Saturday, August 27th. $15 entry. I will not actually be in attendance but am a friend of the employee running things and committed to helping with a bit of promotion. To reiterate, I in no way represent the company and may not hear about any change of details given that I cannot actually go. That being said, do not hesitate to call the store and ask for Colin, the event organizer (or a manager if he's not on shift) for any further information. 5. Hey everybody, Been away from the game awhile and recently totaled my only mat in a bit of an experiment...not important. I'd like to ask you all if www.bannersonthecheap.com is still viable? They're running a sale right now if you all are interested. It seems like they print some solid stuff, and I know others on here have endorsed them before, as have gamers of other realms i.e. roleplaying. A few questions: 1: Are they at all that "slippery?" I had someone claim they were. I also play with spray painted bases on most of my ships which seem to add a little friction on the bottom so this is rarely any real concern but I ask anyway. 2: Somewhat relative to #1, and geared towards anyone who knows anything about vinyl printing as well as Armada players, should I go with a specific material? I see for awhile they've offered essentially a "regular" and "premium" vinyl, claiming the latter has a specific sheen. I understand that for lots of vinyl signage concerning ads and such, that that's important, but I'd really rather my gaming mat didn't glare when people try to take a look at it from the wrong angle. Probably still with the basic vinyl? 3: piggybacking off of #2 this time given it's a material question, do any of you know if it's at all a similar material as this? These were VERY reliable, just expensive, but look very similar to what I image BOTC prints, I just don't know much in terms of vinyl specifications. https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Nebula-gaming-mat-6Ft/dp/B00XJIHIM8?ie=UTF8&qid=1451771554&ref_=sr_1_20&sr=8-20&srs=13182582011 Thanks in advance!
  6. Doesn't look like Edge of the Abyss was out at the time he wrote that up. Any particular thoughts on it? It's in my tentative list but Im considering navis primer and even faith and coin more now...
  7. @melas EXACTLY what I was after, thank you. I was surprised to find no such thing here or on the 40k RPG reddit, perhaps it'd benefit yet more of the community to circulate that a little more! @htsmithium thank you as well. BFK and ITS are both a LOT of money elsewhere (70+) and both out of stock on mini market, so I think I'll consider those when BFK gets reprinted and when we decide we like the game and will actually play it now and again, at which point I see no reason not to snag ITS. Great points about the others, I hadn't originally thought about Hostile Acquisitions but now will. Thanks again guys!
  8. Hey everybody! First post here (that I remember). Got the core book for a steal ($10!) on amazon for myself for christmas and am looking to get a solid library of material together, exclusively RT unless heavily suggested otherwise despite knowing all 40k RPG's are compatible. Miniature Market is also having a massive clearance sale if you guys weren't aware on most of this product line (as in all 40k RPG's), though the every day amazon prices compete with most of MM's. With that announcement you're probably already aware of aside, I now ask: What are your favorite adventures and expansion books? I have a budget of roughly $50 so am aiming to order....5 books or so. I currently have the Koronus Bestiary, as its reviews seem to indicate it's among the best in terms of content volume, and the lure of the expanse trinity, because I want to stack up on pregen adventures, which is easy enough with FFG RPG's haha. So figure 3-4 others beyond those. If anyone wants to ask, there is no play group yet assembled, so I can't really ask them how they want to play, which might tell me whether to buy, say, faith and coin or hostile acquisitions. Anyway, looking forward to getting into this game full bore as Rogue Traders have always fascinated me and I'm confident at least someone who reads this can help. Thanks in advance!!

  10. Havent played it yet actually, may friday, and it's standard procedure for me to update with brief batreps in my list threads just for the sake of keeping everything in one place, so stay tuned haha. I HAVE however run an assault frigate with 3 CR90's back during Sullust, VERY reliable ships.
  11. ..Projection Experts or Advanced Projectors? Ive heard ECM debated with the latter but the former not only occupies another slot type but is not in my opinion at all for the same job... Great point about Luke though, I'm gonna think on that a lot now, he doesn't see much flight time since wave 2 in my lists. I really like Nym as a character though, what kind of lists would you really see him work?

Points: 393/400 Commander: General Dodonna Assault Objective: Advanced Gunnery Defense Objective: Fire Lanes Navigation Objective: Dangerous Territory [ flagship ] MC80 Assault Cruiser (114 points) - General Dodonna ( 20 points) - Walex Blissex ( 5 points) - Advanced Projectors ( 6 points) - Electronic Countermeasures ( 7 points) - XX-9 Turbolasers ( 5 points) - SW 7 Ion Batteries ( 5 points) MC80 Command Cruiser (106 points) - Raymus Antilles ( 7 points) - Projection Experts ( 6 points) - Boosted Comms ( 4 points) - Redundant Shields ( 8 points) - Overload Pulse ( 8 points) 1 Jan Ors ( 19 points) 1 Nym ( 21 points) 1 X-Wing Squadron ( 13 points) 2 Scurrg H-6 Bombers ( 32 points) Some obvious synergies, XX-9 plus Dodonna for example, not that he doesn't help the bombing run too. Jan's intel obviously helps those Bombers get where they need to atop their natural grit, the X-wings mostly being there to protect everybody, mostly Jan, as they get in position to finish off a target, as I imagine I'd do well keeping them close or at least out of the action until I can slam them all at something with those nice boosted comms plus a squadron token from Raymus I net immediately meaning effective command 5 each squadron dial. The CC is obviously also built to send shields to the AC which would then be who is supposed to take most of the punishment, though he went one game without so much as a scratch whilst the CC died so I have to figure out how to nail deployment...
  14. Points: 396/400 Commander: General Dodonna Assault Objective: Opening Salvo Defense Objective: Fire Lanes Navigation Objective: Superior Positions CR90 Corvette B (39 points) - Overload Pulse ( 8 points) [ flagship ] MC80 Assault Cruiser (114 points) - General Dodonna ( 20 points) - Intel Officer ( 7 points) - Electronic Countermeasures ( 7 points) - XX-9 Turbolasers ( 5 points) - SW 7 Ion Batteries ( 5 points) CR90 Corvette B (39 points) - Leading Shots ( 4 points) Assault Frigate Mark II A (81 points) - XI7 Turbolasers ( 6 points) 1 Dash Rendar ( 24 points) 1 Han Solo ( 26 points) The main idea behind this list was literally taking my Sullust list (AF, 3 vette, 2 A-wings) and jamming an MC80 in it. I then later decided to switch to Dash, who makes his way into most of my lists, and Han who also seems like he has no issue shredding squadrons. No real thoughts beyond that, open to all feedback of course.
  15. Sounds workable if not exactly what I need, which is simply something to mount this atop of. Care to share any links? I found no yoga mats exactly 6x3 and anything larger was $50-100 so I assume neither of you spent money like that and then cut it.
