I do really like the N1. One of the only genuinely good things to come out of Phantom Menace.
It radically needs a different paint job though. I've seen repaints and digital mods that give it a more Civil War era-ish color scheme and it looks great. Even just putting it in the Naboo chrome scheme makes it look pretty good.

yeah, that is pretty much everything but an outright official announcement.
    Awesome! (And finally)
Just hope it’s better than the first one

Edge Studio semi-officially announced on their French website back in August that they're working on it, and that they are expecting it to happen sometime in the first half of 2021: http://www.edgeent.fr/news/article/feuilleton_de_lete_lere_du_changement_episode_3
EDIT: Also, their English website, FB page, and Twitter account are covered in, among other things, TI art.
At GenCon Online, Sam Gregor-Stewart, the head of the studio (and guy who wrote a lot of PoK lore) strongly implied that a TI Genesys game was coming: https://www.geeknative.com/79397/edge-studios-likely-to-publish-a-new-twilight-imperium-rpg/
Additionally, but possibly just me missing stuff, the TI setting seems to have mysteriously disappeared from the Genesys Foundry community settings (again, that's unless I've just overlooked it multiple times, which is *DEFINITELY* possible...)
EDIT AGAIN: See also this (http://www.edgeent.fr/news/article/edge_et_le_futur_du_jeu_de_role) French interview from with SGS in July, where he indicates regarding the next Genesys book that "Je ne devrais pas en dire trop, mais je pense que notre prochain arrêt sera dans le futur. Il peut y avoir de très belles histoires à raconter parmi les ruines des empires interstellaires. Après tout, « la paix est magnifique, mais la guerre est glorieuse ! »"
["I shouldn't say too much, but I believe that our next stop to be in the future. There can be some beautiful stories to recount among the ruins of interstellar empires. After all, PAX MAGNIFICA, BELLUM GLORIOSUM!"]

No doubt. But that isn’t really going to be a factor when they are making a movie. It’s just something we have to accept as part of a niche hobby.
I was totally shocked, and very pleasantly so, when the raider showed up in a video game. I was sure the story group would have been ignoring stuff as fringe as a tabletop game.

Well, for the original movies, it was probably at least in part a financial/logistical issue. But it is probably the case that they also wanted to portray the empire as a monolithic, homogeneous entity the eschews any sort of individualism. So all the ships are the same, all the uniforms are the same, all the armor is the same. With only exceptions being when it seemed necessary.

As am I. A book series is a good indication that the setting is expanding.

Here is *almost* everything we know so far:

There's also an AMA by the author on reddit:
...and the publisher, Aconyte Books, has indicated in a livestream some time ago (which I can't find at the moment-- it's one of their videos on Facebook, but can't remember which one) that the book is rhe first in a planned trilogy, with the possibility of additional books if the trilogy does well.

The book is already available for preorder on Amazon, and I think some other places too.

I'm excited about it, if you can't tell....😆

Visual depictions in film and tv should never be used to determine size or scale of things like this. Model and film makers simply have too many variables to juggle to make it a reliable source.

    The Ares Games one?
Have it, but not played it. I have played their Wings of Glory games, which share a lot of similarities.  Meh.  For the most part, it feels to me like their games need more development, they work, and have some neat concepts, but some stuff just doesn't gel, and the BSG game seems the same to me.
I will say that the ship dashboard things are not particularly user friendly, the sliders don't move as easily as they should, and seem to get stuck a lot. That might work itself out with time, or they might break.
The expansions seemed to have a lot less content than an X-Wing ship.

Since you have it, you probably already know, but for the benefit of others, the miniatures are absolutely gorgeous. REALLY well done sculpts and paintjobs, up to pilot call signs being printed on the ships which I needed a magnifying glass to actually read.

I really wish they had gone with a smaller scale. I get that they are kinda committed to 1/144th because of their other games, but it would be nice if they matched X-Wing in scale. I may work up some BSG cards and use them anyway.

Most likely, the duration of a "round" in the game is variable depending on what is going on at the time. When everyone is in a close-knit furball, it's super short, after that, when everyone is circling around for another pass, it's longer. In fact, the same round is probably different lengths for different ships depending on what they are doing, with the assumption that it all evens out over a few rounds.
