For that matter, how much infrastructure like, say, farmland, has gone fallow in the last 5 years. If the world's population spontaneously doubled we'd not be in the best of situations.

Oh, definitely. Undoing the snap wil cause waaaay more devastation than it did originally. Farmland no longer being cultivated, living spaces no longer maintained, factories no longer producing as much. Probably a baby boom right after the snap, so population ends up being much worse than before.

and that’s just from sapient life. If we take them at their word that it was ALL life, that might mitigate the food shortages a tab, but most of nature would have already reestablished equilibrium again. Imagine the rat population in New York City suddenly doubling. Strains on ecosystems resulting lots of animals starving. Decaying bodies leading to disease hazards.

There’s a lot to gloss over.

The problem is Steve staying in the past CAN'T be compatible or a stable time loop. The scene with him and Peggy dancing appears to be set in the 1940s/early 1950s based on the cars. However there's plenty of other material this would directly contradict. For one, Peggy had an entirely different family between the first Captain America and when Steve woke up in the present day. That couldn't have happened had she been with Steve all that time (I mean I'd screw over causality for Hayley Atwell, too, but that's neither here nor there).

As far as I know, we don’t know anything about Peggy’s husband before. I imagine she and Steve would have needed to invent a cover identity for him and he would have needed to lay low and not draw attention to himself, so the guy she was talking about in the interview could have been him all along, and the dementia covers the modern day discrepancies.

Later Imperial V-wings didn't have astromech droids. (maybe replace it by a system slot?)

    Receipts please

The legends entry on wookieepedia does say that

In the early stages of the New Order, new V-wing models were commissioned. The new models of the V-wing star fighter were repainted with a black stripe. These craft featured Imperial livery and lacked an astromech droid.“

The canon entry doesn't however, although the canon entry is virtually empty.

  4. Do You Own Huge Ships Already?  Yes. 7 of them, I think. If you count a proxy Serenity

Did You Play Epic in 1.0, or Were They Dustables?  Played a few times, wanted to play more but couldn’t find opponents.

Do You Plan to Play Huge Ships in 2.0 (in Standard/Huge/Epic battles)?  Yes. In standard it will depend on how they implement things.

Do You Plan To Play Epic Missions?  We’ll see how they implement.

What is Your Biggest Draw to Epic 2.0?  More players

Do the buildings have to be the official ones or will any small scale building work if it fits the map?

For tournaments it has to be the official PP buildings from the current release. For casual games, lots of people are using the buildings from the original game. The new ones are much nicer sculpts though.

Both mondays and wendesdays are x-wing days.  BUT we seem to get more wednesdays than we do mondays..

Good to know. I’m out of town right now, but I’ll try and come in February some time.

  7. Been out to east once, I understand x-wing is on Wednesday’s there, yes? The original store on the west side is closer to me though.

Truth is though that I haven’t managed to get in the habit of going to the local game stores down here since I moved. I’m always too tired to go out in the evenings. I’m trying to change that, though.

Alright, then use examples from ancient Rome.  Nobody will object to something that old.

You’re the only one objecting to his use of (an entirely spot on) analogy from the previous century.

1- Agenda card: Minister of Peace-

I am assuming this is an "Elect Player" agenda, and the elected player gets the card to hang onto until they use it? If so, I would say yes, the player holding the card can use it to benefit themselves. The "different player" is different to the one activating the system. It essentially short circuits a single player's attempt to invade a rival's system. And unless it says something about returning the command token, it will prevent the attacking player from invading that system for the rest of the round.

Yes, you have to fight. (especially if it is your first time at fight club)

If there are no opposing ground forces then it counts as an invasion, but not a ground combat. The ground combat never occurs, and if it never occurs you can't win it.

Wording implies every Tac Relay will be a solitary Tac Relay.

Wording was that all the current tac relay cards will be solitary. My question was about a hypothetical non-solitary card of that type.

Splitting off the two sequel factions was "meh", but adding two brand new factions before all the existing content has been re-released does not give me hope for the faction that I want to play.

And yet those decisions have been very popular overall. So YOU may not like where 2.0 is and is heading, but that is very VERY different from the game not being "stable" which is what you initially said that started this side discussion.

I think the Gunboat is one of the few EU ships that looks Empire-ey without being a TIE knockoff. It's got a design similarity to the Lambda shuttle, and so fits in next to it as a heavy fighter chassis from the same designers.

Most of the TIE variants look pretty goofy to me. The Defender has grown on me since FFG made it for the game, but up until then it was the TIE with a bunch of extra panels stuck to it, and ridiculous OP stats from the TIE Fighter game. Really FFG have saved a lot of the EU designs, in my opinion.

I'm the other way around. I have loved the defender from the first moment I saw it, but the gunboat HAS grown on me a bit. I'd still rather all small imperial ships be TIE variants (but good ones, there are a bunch of REALLY stupid looking ones out there), but that ship has sailed.
