How can this be read any other way than "we are making ships from rebels"? Exactly. We already know they will make new ships based off ANY new Star Wars IP that fits design space and hits the "cool factor". Again, we already knew this, now we just know that thier liscense does indeed cover more than the civil war era, even if GENERALLY ships will be from that era forward and there are already plenty of ships in the game from Pre-era. If anything there is more evidence that they will be open to "prequel" ships; they just aren't as closed minded or ignorant enough to believe that suddenly all the really cool, popular, and powerful toys from the last war will magically disappear. My friend, believe what you wish, but I think you're in denial.

How can this be read any other way than "we are making ships from rebels"? Doesn't seem to be any other way, though he follows up by saying that it'd have to be awesome for them to take a hard look at incorporating it into their future plans. Seems somewhat contradicting. Either way, Rebels is the start of the Galactic Civil War, and not Prequel era.

Well that wouldn't be fair would it I'm six feet tall and grew up in an area where people fighting in the street doesn't even raise an eyebrow let alone a call to the cops. Do you want him hurt physically? Perhaps we should discuss this desire to see living creatures hurt, with proper counselling and medication we can get you past this and back to normality. No, I obviously don't want anyone hurt physically. I meant outside this thread, though it was also a cheeky double entendre. No bickering, please. It's a polite request.

My interpretation was that it would have to be the dawn of the Civil War (Rebels is 5 years prior to Episode IV) and would have to blow their socks off for them to even consider it. So yes, it changes everything. Prequel ships are out, unless those ships show up in the Sequel or spin-off movies.

"More generally we're looking at the sort of game as it is, the Galactic Civil War going way forward..."
-
I'm sorry, that seems unlikely, according to what Christian Peterson said. Oh I don't even want it out of likelihood anymore. I just want either so I can cackle madly at this point. I don't get a chance to thumb my nose at things but the more resistance to it I hear, the sweeter it would be. So you've already gone back to being a ****? I mean that apology thread wasn't that long ago. Are you trying to start crap? You cant tell? Guys, this isn't relevant. Take it outside.

You could just set-up a few units on the mat with 12 asteroids and go for a solo joy ride sometime. That would get some practice in.

I think the 181st Wing (Blood Striped) are more coveted than the Royal Guards, so trading will be difficult. I see almost no trades at all on this forum since the blister packs are non-randomized. Sorry, you're probably better off painting some stripes or buying from eBay, etc.

I believe you're correct. I think the biggest takeaway, though, is this: "More generally we're looking at the sort of game as it is, the Galactic Civil War going way forward..." That would seem to preclude any Prequel ships, unless they were to suddenly appear in the Sequel or spin-off movies, which I find highly unlikely.

Right. So if you see an N-1 or Arc-170 in the upcoming Sequel movies or spin-offs (unlikely IMO), then they might make the product line. But they're not going backwards.

That's not what he said though... He said that if a ship in Rebels was suitable for the game they'd look very hard at getting into the game. He never said Rebels was off limits because of the time frame. Correct, he never said it was off limits. He said the bar would have to be pretty high, though. The ship would have to be awesome. That isn't the bar for OT ships, or presumably, Sequel ships.

Star Wars Rebels is set 14 years after Episode III, 5 years before Episode IV. It would take some awesome starfighter to cause FFG to take a hard look at incorporating anything that early, says the CEO of FFG.

Hexis shared with me today the 2014 FFG In Flight Report at GenCon filmed by Team Covenant and uploaded to YouTube. CEO Christian Peterson's answer at 1:15:00 should put the Prequel question to rest for a while. He said (sloppy transcription): "We're not planning on integrating anything per se in the style of, for example, the Clone Wars cartoon, but with that said, vehicles, characters, storylines, etc that came out of that, those cartoons are part of Star Wars IP [intellectual Property license] in general, and I can't speak whether some of those ships that are shown today were maybe in the cartoon. I haven't seen them all, so there may be things where you sort of say, ah! that's from the cartoon, they're looking at the cartoon. More generally we're looking at the sort of game as it is, the Galactic Civil War going way forward, and we're going to try to, we have a significant amount of content, and we're going to throw in some new content with the new cartoon set in that era. We would not ever put out a product I think that would like the cartoon characters which has this very unique kind of look and stylization to them, but obviously we're thrilled if there was some awesome new type of starfighter that was revealed to us in the Rebels TV show, for example, we would take a very hard look at trying to integrate that into our future plans."

Thanks, this is certainly giving me a lot of food for thought on who he is exactly. But regardless, it doesn't seem he's scammed anyone on this site, and people were making fun of a foreign sounding forum member for no good reason (before we--possibly--knew more information about him).

Yeah, I don't care to quibble over the merits of my thread anymore. Post if you want, or don't.
-
Those are loaded questions since it has also drawn positive attention, but yes to both.
-
Actually, several people have defended him, including me. Edit: I wasn't expecting additional attacks against him.
-
That would've been a lot of personal messages.
-
Thing is, it's very easy not to do something again once you've been reminded repeatedly that it's incorrect. And maybe he just didn't care to appease a bunch of posters who were making fun of him over something so trivial.
-
He was being picked on in several threads and I wanted to bring it to light. I feel it's relevant to maintaining the inclusive, positive community feel of our forum. Sorry if you don't agree.

I really want to be surprised. It that barb aimed at British people or at Captain Lackwit? (Both?) Neither. I wasn't surprised that Lackwit had a knack with pissing off British people, but I wish I had been. It's not a barb.
