Small skirmishes against space pirates or outlaws.

Thanks, Lingula. I think those quotes further the point that the N-1 isn't on par to fight the GCW ships.
-
Edit: Nevermind.
-
What I actually wrote was "If it's of such limited production and value outside its backward, isolated home planet, that's just another reason for the mosquito ship to never enter the game". The IG and others of limited production had value (and use) outside of a backward, isolated planet.

The N-1 looks like a hummingbird or mosquito. Just curl that nose underneath when not feeding. It's streamlined for high speeds without turning, more suited for a long distance race than a dog fight. Reminds me of the Learjet, which also didn't perform well.
-
You didn't do bad, but it looks worse as a mini than on the screen.
-
I take back what I said earlier about the N1 at least being pretty. The best mini painter on the planet can't make that look good.
-
Those 6 wings look like they were made to flap like an insect so it could get airborne. It looks stupid.
-
I don't like the Phantom Menace (I really want to, but can't because of Jar Jar, acting, overuse of CGI, etc), but that's not the reason I don't like the N-1. I don't like its design. All of the Galactic Civil War ships are unique, but the N-1 would stand out like a sore middle finger. Same goes for the ARC-170, which besides the above also has the privilege of looking both ridiculous and hideous. For as much as the N-1 doesn't belong in a game about the GCW, I admit at least that ship is pretty.
-
If even Lucas had a chance to remaster his beloved N-1 into a combat role (even a cameo) in RotJ and didn't, that's telling.
-
I think you mean cynical, not sarcastic. I'm sincerely sorry if people can't handle a little (and I mean really little) bit of sarcasm on the Internet. But I digress. Off topic.
-
The original discussion was fine and even a little interesting about the design of N1 and whether an astro could fit. Then it devolved into the same old debate, to which I made the one comment you're still fretting about. I didn't triple down on anything. Do you know what sarcasm is? I don't mean that sarcastically, either, before you accuse me of quadrupling down. I'm starting to think you really don't know what the word means. Oh, so the N-1 never saw combat in the remastered RotJ. Got it.
-
True. And the canon now shows Naboo N-1s in use during RotJ thanks to the remastered Blu-rays we all despise. But it's still there. So, there's no reason the N-1 can't be GCW era, even if it is primarily Clone Wars. I doubt we'll see it in the game personally, but I'm happy to have my Mel's mini N-1 to paint and play with. I'm not aware of the N-1 in the remastered RotJ. Can you tell me what scene(s) it's in or refer me to some evidence of this?

This isn't just your forum, so I also get to say what I like and don't like posted. I don't like the same topics constantly polluting the forum with no new content. I didn't double down on anything. I truly am sorry for anyone who can't handle a little sarcasm on the Internet.
-
I don't mind upsetting people for rehashing the same topic for the umpteenth time. I don't want to upset them for sharing the overwhelming argument against prequel movie ships, again. Edit: but I am sorry if a little Internet sarcasm bothers anyone on an online discussion forum.

I have an idea. Let's regurgitate all the same ideas from multiple similar threads debating whether or not we want prequel ships in X-Wing. Oh, you've already started. Let me again say the CEO declared the game is the GCW going way forward. That should settle it, but some say the YT-1300 and other ships are prequel. There's a difference between prequel movie ships and GCW, some of which were available during the pre-GCW (prequel) era. The ships from the prequel movies were not. In addition, prequel movie ships look oddly out of place compared to the ships in the game now. Many, including me, don't want them in the game for that reason, and because the factions from the prequel movies are incongruent with those in this game. This usually elicits a strong backlash. I don't want to make you angry by saying I don't want you to have your toys. I hope you get them in their own game where they rightfully belong.

But what if someone really dislikes their opponent using C3PO and wants a critical damage to make him ineffective the rest of the game? Shouldn't they get what they want? Shouldn't FFG read these posts and make important game design decisions based on them?
-
Not again. No new damage decks. The core set is required, and that has the required damage deck that has critical damage cards affecting nearly every possible ship on the table. A new deck would require another mandatory purchase--a terrible business move that will never happen. It makes no sense to include rare critical effects for a few special ships or circumstances, where the odds of it actually affecting the game is 3,720 to 1. This conversation has been rehashed dozens of times.

Amused by the initial inflammatory overreaction. Glad the clear-headed persisted in sharing perspective.

It looks like the guest pod for a 3D ride or something.

Someone owes someone else an apology...

Vader attacks incompetent crew members all the time. Haven't you watched the movies?
