  1. Thanks! I've been trying to think up an idea for a Star Wars short story recently and as soon as I read your post it got me thinking about uses for the quadjumper. I think I can make an excellent pirate ship out of them. This is going to be fun.
  2. http://www.starwars.com/news/inside-the-fearless-rogue-group On Hoth they were refered to as Rogue Flight and with Blue and Green Squadrons formed Rogue Group for Battle of Hoth. No mention of Rogue Squadron in the movies. No idea what has been retconned but it wasn't in the movies.
  3. Do you play at any of these stores? Three of the four stores have no space for playing. The fourth has just started hosting a tournament once a month or so which has a $10 entrance fee and they sell at a 15-20% markup. I just wanted to point out that some of us who support online retailers don't necessarily have local options that support the x-wing community.
  4. Why? I have four local game stores to choose from but I receive a better customer service interaction from a Canadian online retailer. Two of the local stores have limited stock they sell at MSRP so I buy from them when I want one more ship. The third local store is run by a ****** who has a substantial markup on all of his limited stock. The fourth store sells at about 15-20% above MSRP but they are the only store that runs tournaments. So why must I give loyalty to a brick and mortar store simply because they get a box of x-wing minis every couple of months?
  5. Newfoundland here too. My preference is Great Board Games as long I'm ordering around 4 ships or more. If I'm just buying one ship I'll buy locally from whoever will sell it to me at MSRP, unfortunately that generally only leaves two stores.
  6. no in tourneys. yes at home if your friends aren't asses.

    R2-Q5 ideas

I'd love to see R2-Q2 as an Imperial crew as well. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/R2-Q2_(Imperial)
  8. My list would probably look something like this. Imperial 1 Firespray 1 Shuttle 6 Tie Fighters (at least 1 regular) 2 Tie Advanced 4 Tie Interceptors (at least 1 regular and 2 from aces) 2 Tie Bomers 2 Tie Defenders Rebel ship collection Falcon Hwk 3 X-wings (at least 1 regular) 2 Y-wing (if you will expand to S&V get 1 rebel and 1 scum) 2 A-wings (1 regular and 1 aces) 2 B-wing (1 regular and 1 aces) 1 E-wing 3 Z-95 Headhunters (if you will expand to S&V get 1-2 rebel and 2 scum)
  9. When I get mine I will probably look at it a while to see how easy it would be to remove the wings but that is the only change I would make.
  10. Are all the ACT in the new advanced math supposed to be ATC or did I miss something?
  11. Good blog post from the Royal Armouries. http://blog.royalarmouries.org/2014/the-force-awakens-the-weapons-behind-star-wars/
  12. Ugh, another stupid and impractical lightsaber design. There is a reason historical broadswords don't have daggers for crossguards.
  13. the sky will fall, of course. I want to remind everyone that JJ is only directing the first movie in the trilogy.
  14. meh. I would have hoped that in 40 years Luke had managed to wake the Force before this.
  15. Wait, Lucas is my Father? Nooooooooooooo!
