  1. It's a neat mechanic. I kind of wish they'd opened it up more, so that one tome could be bonded to more than one spell.

Edit: never mind, I was wrong

4th Cycle - The Circle Undone

Leaving space for the complete explanation of multi-class cards, with a full example for every single investigator?

Yeah, it's been a while, I guess I was forgetting the agility thing, and I have had trouble getting off the nocking action. Still, it's an option for a first scenario weapon.
  5. What's really weird is the way TFA gives investigators traits at certain points, with no effect on game play.

As someone who liked having Dr Elli hold the Ornate Bow for Ursula, I look forward to trying the Enchanted Blade instead.

Thanks, that's actually what I meant. Lost my mind on which classes she takes.

Wait....how many slots does Grisly Totem take for Carolyn then?

Gah, right about Joe. That seemed so fitting, with it being in his cycle. But I guess it would be incredibly powerful if it did work with his hunch deck. I guess really what it is, is draw insurance, replacing the draw action at a cost but guaranteeing you won't get something bad. Actually better later in a campaign where you might have accumulated additional weaknesses.

Scroll of Secrets can combo with Alyssa (better for discarding than drawing, but it can work that way too), Joe (gun and Elder Sign abilities), and Wendy's Amulet (return an Event she just played right back into her hand).

Neither do I, but according to cardgamedb, yes, you are correct. Poor Norman.

Carolyn doesn't say "other". If it truly means what it says, only Carolyn and Norman have to deal with the dual classes.

More the first, but the second will be scary, too.

Good writeup. But the card I'm most excited about is an Enemy, one I've been waiting for since the game came out....
  15. I love decks like this. This list should be a starting place for experimentation.
  16. I love Prophesy, but then I'm playing Marie. I'll See You In **** should be a staple for multiplayer Calvin, but then he's probably the least played character, too. Handcuffs are simply great. I've never regretted having them in a deck.
  17. It's not a Lovecraftian character, I agree there, but I think it's a perfect fit for the 30s pulp feel that FF goes for, along with the likes of Dexter Drake and Monterey Jack.
  18. Jack Burton Batman, The Shadow, or Green Hornet. Seriously, I'm surprised there hasn't been a masked avenger investigator yet. I've toyed with the idea. It would be a Neutral investigator, who would be the secret identity. They'd choose from a set of masked avengers they can be, each with a different signature card and predominant faction, so they could be The Purple Storm, The Green Ghost, The Blue Bandit, etc.
  19. Sounds right to me. And put Deny Existence under Diana, if appropriate. Between this and Delay the Inevitable, Beyond the Veil really doesn't like TCU.
  20. Scariest TV monsters ever. The Return was truly cosmic horror.
  21. Continuing with Doctor Who - The Silence. You cannot attack them unless you are engaged with them. You cannot engage them unless they are already engaged. When you become engaged with one, take one direct horror. When engagement ends, heal one horror. Weeping Angels Hunter. Aloof. Prey - lowest Agility. Evade - 2. No damage or horror. Does not attack. Engaged Investigators may only Move or Evade. If an Angel is ready and unengaged when enemies attack, its Prey must Evade. If an Investigator fails an Evade against the Angel, the investigator is Insane.

    Agency Backup

Kind of not, though. He's an agent, sure, but "...there's no way his superiors would understand. Roland knew he would have to handle this one himself."
  24. If we're going to talk X-Files, then we have to go to the source: Carl Kolchak. Rust Cohle, of course. I never watched Boardwalk Empire but surely that's rife with Rogues and Survivors. Ben Hawkins or maybe Samson from Carnivale. John Boy

4th Cycle - The Circle Undone

Back to Marie killing Renfield: Blood Eclipse is another option that I'm considering.
