Alright, FFG, how about a new flight path game for us?
JaggedLittleFel replied to KILODEN's topic in X-Wing
Navel combat? AWESOME! Belly buttons lining up to broadside each other? I think that's just the kind of thing the OP is after. -
I think when it comes down to it most of us will only need one set (for Vader). Once the dust dies down there should be plenty available for everyone. Especially if FFG make the Raider 2 epic points and all the mad Imperial guys can buy 2.

More than1 ship in expansions would be cool!!

O NOES I HAS A EXTRA COPIES OF CORRAN!!!!!111 Geez, have you ever played a CCG? This guys a troll. As if you wouldn't just ignore the extra cards. -
They are "committed to the galactic civil war period and beyond". I'm pretty sure they don't want the prequel era because it's not as popular.

To be fair, the thread was started 18 months ago. Boris the Genius necro'd it so he could condescend.

No, it's the listening to you that causes the suffering. I'm off to oppress some poor people now to cheer myself up.

You have missed the whole idea of this design. The design is to have the ships, bases and dials all in one tray. To this end the tray sometimes looks to waste space. Craig I stand by my comment. My current collection would fit in about 3-4 times the volume, and I haven't been very efficient in foam utilization myself. "My current collection would fit in about 3-4 times the volume,"What does that even mean bro? Are you saying you have trays that can fit 3-4 times that of the lasertouch trays relative to size? If so that is the number one stupidest comment I have ever seen on this board. How big are your trays? How many ships do they hold? What did they cost you? 40 small ships 5 large in 40x50 cm. Thickness is 5cm. I'm not even sure why I'm responding to your comment, you're overly inflammatory. Your trays are obviously way, way bigger. If I'm overly inflamatory it's because you deserve it. Laser touch do good product and you want to shoot them down. Does it make you feel superior to do this? Even though you're not telling the truth? I notice you avoided stating the cost of your tray. This leaves me imagining a shoddy hunk of crap that you've cut holes in yourself. I'll stick to my custom cut trays that surround my minis with ample foam and are sized to fit my Laser touch bag (also awesome).

You want to be able to field a starting side for $20. That's unrealistic. Being a tool about it is helping your case a lot though.

Not if they are 100,000 poor people.

This is the most wallet friendly game I've ever played. I worked it out. This year playing X-wing I spent about a quarter of what I spent last year (playing a ccg). If you cant afford to drop a few bucks for some upgrades then I'm afraid you can't afford this game. Save up. Buy the Raider. USE it! You won't regret it.

Technically, aren't all the "solar panels" on Imp ships really 'Cooling Panels' for weapons and engines!?!? Hence, they seem reasonable given the purpose of this ship! They look dumb regardless of what they are. Why? Because they almost entirely obstruct the rear firing arcs. I can see your point. They do create blind spots for the rear turrets in particular. As I look closely it almost seems as though they could pull right into the body during combat if they wanted. That would fix it.

Well done, FFG. I really dig the look, including the wings. They are what ties it into the starfighter scale like you were going for. Imperial epic fleets will look amazing with this.

Imperial Epic Ship - possible spoiler?
JaggedLittleFel replied to TheRealStarkiller's topic in X-Wing
To argue that this ship isn't as canon as the Vigil doesn't make sense. They have retconned this one so that it has appearances in Dark Empire which makes it a more legit contender imo. And the Imperial II class is obviously way, way bigger. If you lined those turrets back to back down the center of the OPs ship I figure you would fit a maximum of twelve-fourteen. On the imperial II you could fit well over 30. And FFG sure seem to have embraced it. Maybe more than the Vigil. Check out "Repair and refurbish". http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_news.asp?eidn=4500 Having said all that I'm cool with either. One of them and a gozanti and I'll go from confused and a little bitter to happy customer. -

Lasertouch have software on the site that lets you design the trays of your dreams. Any load out you want. It's cool.

REAL FORCE AWEAKENS TRAILER... YEAH!
JaggedLittleFel replied to Joe Boss Red Seven's topic in X-Wing
Even in the EU the Empire never completely disappeared. The Imperial remnant still used ties. And in this retooling of the sw galaxy it seems like the New Republic may have never taken power, the Empire never lost it. -

Considering Palpatine thoroughly killed him (used the force to completely mutilate Pagueis body) that seems unlikely. Plagueis was a Muun, I imagine him sounding quite different to the voice over. -
SUPER FALCON: NOW THIS IS CGI'ING! (SO GOOD)

Carefull. Don't say anything negative. Just smile, nod, and say you love it, and have been waiting 30 years for it. It is perfect in everyway! :-) Carefull. Don't say anything with any merit. Just embarrass yourself about the sand, condescend, insult and troll. If you use a smiley you can get away with anything :-) -

I don't care if you are being facetious, that is a totally valid complaint. A lot of star wars art also fails to make clothing sufficiently 70's futuristic But we're 30 years on now (in universe). I think we can leave the bowl-cuts behind us. -

I think the speeder is supposed to look like something that would belong to a poor dirt-farmer (or someone posing as one). Old, all practicallity, no aesthetics. It taps into waht I love best about the SW universe, its vastness. I loved the OT because of what was *suggested* about the galaxy, not what was shown. From mos eisley to coruscant and everything in between. "I don't like it because it's not the same as one I've seen" is not what you'll ever hear from me. Might as well complain that the hairstyles aren't 70's enough. -

Sorry, but that is a really lame arguement/point to make...Go film a better one? That is not even possible. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I am sorry if you get offended by a differing opinion from your own. I'm not offended... just dont get it.. it's all good stuff, and all of us SW fans have been wanting something all these years.. and yes i'm calling us all fans... so why gripe.. it's great stuff.. and yes, if you don't like it.. make a better one.. I guess it's just silly to be to gripe about getting what you want.. I cant find anything bad about it.. even the crazy hilt on the sabre.. it's flashy and stylish.. it's all fantasy and sci fi.. You can't find anything bad about it? Really? I understand this is something that you have wanted for ever, but you like every bit. I think that you might have your rose colored fanboy glassess on a bit to tight. How about the little bizare soccer ball with the bowl upside down on top of it. You even like that? That seemed questionable to me. Or the almost robo cop feel to the troopers? Nothing? How about the cgi sand in the opening scene? I mean they couldn't find real sand? I guess I am just too picky, if all these things are my issue. I actually like the weird broadsword type saber hilt. But I didn't like the weird "fire" effect to the saber and crossguards. I guess I need to let me inner fan boy out more. Looked like a droid to me... yeah, kinda does look like a football, but it has personality. Which is also why I like Jar Jar... because he is like that drunken master from those old Wu Tang movies. Hmm, Jedi Master Jar Jar? Did you know if you plug Jar Jar Binks into the Wu Tang name generator it comes up Wacko Killah... protect ya neck. Then again everything I like is suspect. Just about to listen to the new wu tang album! Spoilt with good stuff today. /ignores language barrier troll f-wit. -

That was real sand, genius. You don't like it. Who cares. Your insulting inner fanboy remarks should get you reported for trolling. -

Check out the TIEs. Its super hard to see but it looks like the view panel is a much more pronounced bubble. And the struts connecting the wings flare much wider as they meet the body. -

You should boycott the movie over it.
