That's on you, the info has been out there for some time. Either way you still got exactly what you paid for, a Rebel Z-95. The fact that you didn't actually want it, is your own fault no one elses.

NO! The information is NOT out there.Nowhere on the official site does it say ANYTHING about dials not being used cross faction. This "rule" is not in any rules document. The product information shows what the products contain and that leads to the conclusion I drew.

This "rule" is only available in some email somebody got at some point from some customer service person.

    Help me out!

    Please!

What other secret rules are there that I don't know about that will influence my purchase decisions?

    You are annoying.

Why did you assume that the ships could be used cross faction?

Because the bases have an entirely different color for the firing arc?

Seriously, with this being the case how was cross faction ever going to be possible?

Are you really REALLY REALLY angry that the slave 1 you own will be usable as a scum ship?

At least they came to the party there.

And what's this crap about having an unusable z-95?

You got rebel ships in your sig! Use it with them!

And if $15 is the end of the world for you maybe you should be more careful with your assumptions.

  2. Oh hobojesus is here to sort it out.

Even though shake has admitted he was pissing people off for his own enjoyment.

What you call defensive is actually people showing shake a lot more patience than he deserves while he calls others fools.

I could be as blunt as that actually deserves but I've already got 1 warning point.

Yeah, I guess he's allowed to express his opinion that others are foolish.

How many times do you get to do that though?

At what point should you just concede that others feel differently and it's not wrong *or* foolish, and just leave?

  3. Change your mind about what bro? Thier right to buy this expensive stuff?

They know they have that and don't care what you say.

No, I thought it was a mtter of understanding that they are not foolish for wanting the treasures associated with the game.

    Now I see it's not.

Sorry, won't be...feeding you any more.

  4.

What's surprising to me about this is how defensive and hostile some of you guys are getting to those of us who point out the foolishness of $130 "pretty" dice...

What's surprising to me is that you can call people fools and think they would be fond of it

That's an awesome first post. Look how many words I had to use to say that.

  5. "Coming at you"? Countering your points is coming at you? OK.

    1) It's you that's coming off hostile. Who is repeatedly using words like foolish?

    2) I don't own any swag except a chewie and a han alternates (won one, was given the other). I'm not the target of your disdain, I'm just defending them.

Yet you go after my "financial acumen".

    Again, who's hostile?

    3) If you understand so well then why are you in this thread calling people foolish for paying for swag?

Do you understand that this is a thread about fake swag? and that nobody wants to be called foolish for wanting things that are designed to make us want them?

    Seems a bit...hostile.

Defensive, sure. You're calling them foolish and they don't deserve it.

Hostile? lol, whatever. I see no hostilty.

What's surprising is that you still don't see that people really love this game and like having cool kit.

When you see a custom painted Falcon sell for loads on ebay do you say "but it works the same as a normal one!!"?

If so you need to accept you don't understand and move on.

  7.

As far as I am concerned anyone willing to spend $130 for some dice (some DICE!!) has more money than sense...I can't fathom why anyone would spend so much on something so trivial....these work no better than non see thru dice.

Perhaps you could enlighten me as to how these could ever be worth the cost?

It must blow your mind when you see the prices that real translucents go for.

And if you played yugioh your brain would melt as you saw people paying $50 for shiney versions of a readily available common.

Like I said, some gamers like to have their treasures. If you don't understand/think it's stupid so be it.

But it is a widespread thing.

The issue here is the potential for these guys to be taken for a ride by this seller.

I wouldn't pay that kind of money for these dice, but considering the price of FFG ones ( more than twice as much to get 12 of those) maybe someone would?

As long as everyone is informed it's OK.

  8.

these are the same people in my hometown that cause housing inflation to become so bad that the general public can't afford to own homes anymore.  condo's that sell for over a million for 1000 sq ft of living space.. give me a break

That's a really...obtuse way of looking at it.

The ones that are driving up housing prices *around the world* are investment funds. Gangs of rich people who don't know or care which houses they own.

The whole thing is managed by underlings.

And the real estate agents love it because they earn more per sale if the prices are high.

People who play games like this one, CCGs etc, like to have their treasures.

If they can afford it and it will make them happy, then let them buy expensive dice or tokens.

But then you don't get to make an obnoxious post where you name-drop that you've won some, right?

  9. Do the surfaces scratch up easily?

They're not like the vinyl ones most of us are used to.

Imagine a giant yugioh or magic mat. Or mousepad like others have said.

I like the mat i've got but I'm going to *love* these.

I like that by getting both I can have a choice for standard games and join them for an epic game field.

I don't think the death star will be too busy either. Not like that trench run one was anyway.

  10.

    No, he really, really doesn't.

    TIE Pilot, please, explain.

The facts are that the two films that Lucas had the least to do with are the most loved and critically acclaimed.

The prequel films, which he micro-managed, were the least well received.

Midichorians.  Natalie Portman.  Jar Jar Binks.  Hayden Christensen.  I mean, c'mon, it's like he hit his head or something.

George Lucas is a fantastic producer and he was innovative when he was getting started. Also I think Natalie Portman was one of the few things he did right with the prequels, that and better saber fighting scenes.

Portman was terrible and I question your ability to determine good acting from bad.

Go watch the "so love has blinded you" scene and tell me again how good of an actor she was.

Her, Hayden and jar jar were the sole 3 reasons the prequels were so terrible.

Don't forget that the fraudulent skank *pretended* she had done the dancing in Black Swan.

Accepted accolades and did interviews etc. "Oh yes, aren't I wonderful. I learned to do it in six months".

Then the ballerina (who had been one for 20 years or so) who really did the work came forward and exposed her.

They just mapped portmans head on with CG!

    Portman is scum. Unprecedented scum.

  11. I think the wiz kids ones have the edge that the template sits against at the same place, but the protruding edges on either side move the corners forward by a little bit (the distance of a nub.)

So it doesn't mess with movement, but does mess with range.

    Am I wrong?

  12. Yes, the Raider might come up again, yes, the story group might figure "seeing as we've made this, where else can we use it?"

But it was made for FFG. It's not from anywhere, it is not a teaser, it exists so FFG can have a good looking 150m ship to sell.

So you do actually get it. They may use it.

We know it's not a teaser, and we know why it was created. But even you admit that it may be "from somewhere" in the future.

Why are you acting like we're stupid?

You're very dismissive of my point that a ship this size was needed, yet you know there was nothing appropriate at the time it was designed.

And there is much more support for a Ghost than opposition.

Why assume it would have a 360 arc? It could have firespray arcs.

It could also be priced so that if you're facing a ghost there's no way you're facing any of the other freighters.

In short, they could balance it.

I think you just need to get used to the idea it's coming. FFG have expressed interest in doing Rebels stuff at gencon.

  13. If they can't seem to fit prequel/clone wars ships in the game, I don't see how they could do sequel ships.

They are committed to "the galactic civil war period and beyond" according to the CEO.

My prdiction is the Ghost from rebels.

I'm hoping it can be awesome and expensive enough to be the first one ship list.

Multiple shots per turn, lots of crew slots, systems slot....
