Thrasher got a reaction from mazz0 in Which EU characters do you fear might not make it into IA
Ha, he could make you loose the game by being a horribly ill concived, politically incorrect cliché.

I'll personally be greatfull if we don't get too much EU stuff in this game, it's already full of hackneyed, tired clichés and EU dross. Xizor was a whack version of Jabba and his 'sexy' droid was just an awful idea, I'm really happy for all the canon stuff to be washed down the toilet. As for the prequels? I can do without a load of of Jedi that look like Hollywood stars adorning my gaming table thanks... This, however doesn't spoil my enjoyment of the game, it's fantastic

Thrasher got a reaction from Reiryc in To prevent snowballing, everybody wins?
I'm sorry to repeat myself, but seriously? The aim of playing a game is most often to have 'fun'. You sound like you're bending over backwards to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for a group of people who sound to me like a massive pain in the arse...
As gamers we all have off days, but these guys need to pull the stick out, get on the bus and shape up or ship out!
Grrrr.... I am so angry for you!

Thrasher got a reaction from 1123581321345589144 in I hope Darth Vader doesn't appear in the Twin Shadows missions.
Yea, like getting a super shine on his helmet between episodes 4 and 5, in which this game takes place. That modified flight suit don't buff its self you know, what do you think that meditation chamber is for?

Thrasher got a reaction from kac in Interested in starting Imperial Assault
Campain mode feels, to me very much influenced by story driven RPG-TBS computer games (Shadowdrun, Fire Emblem, XCOM). You get rewarded with percs and various ways to upgrade the characters, the Imperial player also gets similarly rewarded. There are also lots of nice triggered events within each mission that change the dynamic of play, something that I personally haven't seen used to this level in a board game yet.
Other than this WonderWAAAGH and kac have said everything I would have...

Thrasher got a reaction from Stokes52 in How do you play?
I generally end up spilling beer on the game while trying to use the bottle kneck as a pointer :/

Thrasher reacted to Zogwort in what are your wishes for the next expansion and the future of the game?
I want rules to incorporate X-Wing and Armada into the campaigns. What is a Star Wars campaign without a space battle or two?

Thrasher got a reaction from Bright Wizard in Mulitple core sets
Intresting stuff. More food for thought, if you have a friend with a core set and you both want to play opposite sides, you could always borrow/swop disks with each other if you were to decide you needed more options. This may be useful for working out strategies for competative play or just to expand your options in casual play.

Thrasher got a reaction from Bright Wizard in Several Rules Questions
The Battle Abilitys have some really nice effects. With the limited play I have had so far, there has been some suprising and welcome combos arisen from various sources. One minute you're thinking how can I get out of this, the next you're saying "watch this!"......
