  1. I bought 2 of each. You can run double dice Rey and Finn for heroes and Kylo and 2 First Order Troopers for villains. Definitely worth it, imo.
  2. Yo. Unfortunately, no one really plays in SD anymore. I'm down to play, though. What part of SD are you in?
  3. This isn't the first time there's been a ridiculously long delay. It is habitual and absolutely killing the player base.
  4. Decipher days, where I lost every game and still felt like a winner after every tournament. Ah, to be 13 and chubby again.
  5. Wasn't trying to debate you or insult you, bro. Sorry if it came off that way. I buy every expansion set and love the game. When I first got into it, I was blown away that there were so few people playing it. I live in a large city too, so I figured that wouldn't be the case. Me and my girlfriend play almost every day, it's definitely a top-notch game. I come from the Star Wars CCG days, where Decipher was the king of being involved with their players and the game itself. It's quite a contrast with how FFG handles it. I would love for the game to catch on and become worth driving hours and hours to play at a regional or fly across the country to play at Worlds. Unfortunately, I just don't see the advantage of taking work off, driving for hours, playing against (hopefully) 15 or 20 people, driving back, etc.I just look at it from a realistic point of view. There are pockets where there are 20-30 players weekly, but the pockets are few and far between. I totally want to see FFG pick up the slack and help their own game grow (I really don't know why they can't wrap their heads around this... more players=more money=more Star Wars LCG and repeat). They seem to have fixed their delayed release of product problem, so that's a step in the right direction. Again, didn't mean to come off short with you or anything.
  6. The player base has shrunk significantly. When a game is popular, the opposite happens.
  7. If the game was going to explode in popularity, it would have already done so.
  8. Not saying it will lose the license because it has a poor player base, I'm saying that the Star Wars license will be switched over to another company sooner or later, regardless. Has nothing to do with the success of the game. Decipher's Star Wars CCG rivaled Magic in popularity and the license was still pulled. Just how it works with IP's like that.
  9. They would have to become more involved with organized play. They won't, though. The delays killed off a lot of players too. There weren't a lot of people playing before that, so it was especially bad for the player base. The biggest recent regional turnout was the equivalent of a mediocre Friday Night Magic. It's just a small game and it will remain a small game until they lose the license. Take it for what it is and just enjoy it while you can.
  10. Just get 2 cores, 2 Edge of Darkness, and 1 of everything else. You'll have every card in the game and it won't cost you an arm and a leg. Edit: Before you buy all of this stuff, make sure that people are even playing in your city. If you've got a group of friends that are big into card games already, cool. If you don't, you might find yourself with a lot of Star Wars cards sitting in a box with no one to play with. The player base varies from city to city, so just beware.
  11. Ugh. No prequel stuff. Don't send FFG that message. Keep it original trilogy and, if this game is still around by then, add the JJ Abrams stuff if it's good. The expanded universe stuff that happened during the original trilogy and after is pretty cool for the most part too, that's good stuff.
  12. Type "fedora neckbeard" into Google and you will understand. Fedora wearing is more of a type of person than the act of wearing a fedora. Pseudo-intelligent and unaware of how obnoxious they are. In summary:
  13. Dude, there are mouth-breathers bringing the cringe on every forum on here. It's not just here. It's certainly not unique here but it sure came in quite quickly compared to other places, and more agressively. But hey, i'm just the type that utterly hate these kind of insulting replies, I just can't fathom why some feel the need to puke stuff like that. But everything seem well and cool now. Yea, just don't let it bother you, dude. The kind of people that you're talking about are Autistic fedora-wearers who base their lives around a card game. Don't let them get to you.
