I've read as much as possible, got excited, and ordered everything else yesterday.
**** man! That's a pile of cash if you got *everything. Congrats on the purchase though. Serious envy!
The timing was right - decent sales last week. Blew through my X-Wing wave 8 budget though. From what I can see so far it was worth it.

Mistakes were made....after asking around I ordered the core Tuesday. Since then I've read as much as possible, got excited, and ordered everything else yesterday. Merry Christmas to me and especially my gaming group as I've left them nothing to be responsible for. Maybe they'll help paint.

For me, I have some extras I am putting back for my kids. I fully expect that they will really enjoy playing when they are old enough and having some "new" boxes to open rather than only getting dads old stuff will be exciting. So far I have been able to keep myself from getting into their starter boxes.

I repurposed a Plano Phantom Pro. In the top alone I keep two firesprays, a yt-1300, a shuttle, the transport, a Plano 3600, my 3x3 felt and all rule books. The ships are all in their original plastic shells. The drawers underneath currently hold 31 small ships and all dice, templates, cards, etc with half of the storage remaining. I see them available on EBay, and chuckle each time I loll at my original price tag still on the inside of the lid. ($34.99).

The internal packaging plastic on my transport was broke when I received it. As others have said, be careful trusting it as protection.

The transport was not broke, but probably should have been. The plastic cocoon it was in was broken through on the aft end. Must have been shaken pretty fiercely.

I have a few friends that have yet to receive their Aces from them. No communication at all. Anyone else? Always had good experiences with them with other games.

I drew the stunned pilot card this week. It states that when you run into a ship or obstacle you take one face down damage. My question is does this card count as one damage when drawn, then a second when you run into something, with the possibility of gaining a third damage if you run into an asteroid?
