Sorastro, if I'm counting right, that should be it for the Imperials (until you get your hands on the wave 1 expansions). Do you mind sharing which faction you'll be painting next?

Thank you all for the supportive comments!
Error 718 - Yes I will be covering Vader and the "chicken walker" (and the rest); I'm really excited to tackle the AT-ST actually but am trying to resist the temptation to just rush in to paint the most exciting figures first
Lorddax - I've never actually used an airbrush so I'm afraid I can't offer any guidance but would like to give it a try some time; I imagine it could be great for large models (like the AT-ST) for giving an easy blanket highlight. For the smaller minis I'm not sure how useful an airbrush would be, except perhaps as an alternative way of priming the figure?
Leveton - I plan to complete the core Imperial faction figures before doing anything else so the next couple of videos will cover the officers and the AT-ST. I have given some thought to the order of the tutorials and am working roughly in order of difficulty although I agree with you that the troopers aren't especially easy (and on reflection I think the droids are easier). At the same time, I think cutting your teeth on the troopers is a good way to develop brush control and get a feel for paint consistency without having to worry about color.
Thanks again for all the kind words, and for your patience as I know it takes a while to produce each episode (stupid day job getting in the way!).
    Happy painting!

Thank you very much Fizz and Slim. I might do as you suggest Fizz if I can find the time (which I might not until I complete the series!).
Well done slim - both for getting into such a fantastic hobby, and for your Darth! I don't know if it's just a psychological thing but I'm quite daunted by the thought of painting Vader (although I know I must face him eventually!).

Thanks folks!  And I totally agree Fizz about the varnish; It's such a simple step but is so effective

Thank you! I'm kind of taking each unit as it comes really so I'm afraid I can't give a list of paints that I plan to use for the whole set. At the moment I'm trying out some ideas for the imperial officers and may well go with with a blue-ish grey using Dark Reaper, and I'm also testing some weathering techniques for the AT-ST but haven't yet decided which final colors I'll be using. Sorry I can't be any more specific than that!

Thanks Addum!  Episode 7 is currently uploading so you won't have to wait much longer  It took an unusually long time to complete but I'm hoping to be able to get through the next few a little quicker.

I haven't really given much thought to squad number identification to be honest, but it sounds like Muzz and kevinjohn have some great ideas.

    Happy painting all

I plan on doing this when I paint mine. I've made card sheets for each deployment group with spots for health and conditions, example:

I plan on painting the edges the color like Sorastro but add white tick marks at each 90 degree position on the edge to differentiate the ranks I, II, III.

Also really ticked because all my cards are now going to be outdated once the expansion hits and there's a new condition. Going to have to come up with something a bit more future proof.

I must say that I also like that they've added the Tusken Raiders asap for use with Luke's Raiding Party skirmish mission and have enough of them to do it. I appreciate the heads up on that.

I think it's safe to say FFG make games that have a bit of premium to the cost.  However I've never been let done by their support and the game components are always of a high quality.  In fact I think I have more FFG games than any other publisher in my collection.

    For those at work:

"Investigate a growing Imperial presence in Twin Shadows, a new expansion for Imperial Assault! New dangers lurk in every shadow and darkened alley on Tatooine, home of bounty hunters and galactic scum. To make matters worse, Han Solo has disappeared while on assignment in Mos Eisley. Now, a crack team of elite Rebel operatives launches their investigation to uncover the truth behind the Imperial plot.   This expansion offers new content for both the campaign game and the skirmish game. You can play a fully formed mini-campaign that challenges your Rebel heroes to rush to Han Solo's aid or battle through a Mos Eisley cantina in the skirmish game. Two new heroes join the forces of the Rebel Alliance, but Heavy Stormtroopers and Tusken Raiders fight for the forces of the Empire. With ten sculpted plastic figures, twelve double-sided map tiles, and over sixty new cards, Twin Shadows brings new levels of danger and skulduggery to every Imperial Assault game."   $39.95   https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/star-wars-imperial-assault/products/twin-shadows/   So, they say it's a mini-campaign already. Looks like the bigger boxes will have the heftier campaigns afterall if they indeed go the Decent route (which they've stated they will).

Aye, It's looking like this to me:
1x Biv Bodhrik miniature (Hero)   1x Saska Teft miniature (Hero)   4x Tusken Raider miniatures (1x Elite card,1x Regular Card)   4x Heavy Stormtrooper miniatures (1x Elite card,1x Regular Card)

I see people say that, but have yet to see anyone really back it up with examples.
Their LCG all seem to be on par for other games of that nature, such as MtG. Their X-Wing and Armada stuff is actually fairly cheap compared to games like Flames of War, 40k/WFB, or Warmahoardes.
Their board games may be more the others, but I don't do much with those so I don't have anything to compare to. But IA is more than just a boardgame so I'm not sure the comparison fits.
But they produce high quality stuff that I find to be well worth what they're asking for.

I was thinking the Tuskens are in a group of two with a 5 cost deployment and reinforcement cost of 2.  This would make the unit unique in that they can be reinforced cheaper than deployed.

I'm thinking we will see two normal Heavy Storm Troopers, two elite heavy Storm Troopers then the same again for the Tuskens.

I believe the Descent small box expansions (at least Lair of the Wyrm) featured 8 mob figures + 2 hero figures.

All goo points, but I'll counter that by saying that the image for the Royal Guard Champion

Shows 2 agenda sets, and 3 skirmish missions which we now know to be inaccurate.

Yah, I realize that expansions are usually a bit more expensive. I seriously doubt they are taking a loss on the bases sets. Especially considering they are bare plastic. As for a good deal...... anything FFG is honestly a bit on the expensive side compared to most publishers. Street price will probably be $30ish +/- a couple bucks though. Its not horrible, but nothing that makes me say "man, what a value!"

The core set for most any game like this is always discounted pretty heavely. They take a loss on it, because they can make up for it with expansion packs and other products.
X-Wing is the same way, you get 3 ships which alone would retail for $45 for $40, plus everything else that comes in the box. So you can't really compare the expansion packs to the core box, the core will always be the better value.
But that price does seem to be inline with what they charge for Decent 2e campaign boxes.
To compare value, you're better off looking at just the cost of the models themselves.
You should get at least 4 Stormtroopers, 2 heroes and 4-6 Raiders. That's between 10-12 models.
The R2-D2 and C-3PO box costs $15 the multi-packs are $13-$15 depending on 2 or 3 of the same model in them.
So 2 heroes ($15), 4 Stormtroopers ($26) and 4-6 Raiders would be $26-30) would cost $67-71 if they were being sold as expansion packs. In addition you get a campaign book, and map tiles, vs the cards you'd normally get in a expansion pack.
So all in all, a very good deal.

This is recycled art from the LCG. Not saying it won't happen but just because the image is on a skirmish card doesn't mean we will see her

It was the same for Descent that featured the big bad on the cover of each box but only a token within said box.  I'm not too peeved about it.  If they collated it all into one bigger box at a higher price I'd probably prefer that, but then others who want to invest less in  one time or want a specific figure for skirmish probably prefer the current lay out.

Either way I'm buying in and I want it all now.

Heavy Storm Troopers and Tusken raiders.  I'm very very happy with that.  Would still like to see Jawas at some point however.
