Kako,  you really need to take all of those rumors with a huge boat load of salt.  I've been following GW rumors for some time, and their validity falls something like this.  75% Completely false, 20% You can see where they were coming from, but still not exactly what the rumor said, 4% True from a certain point of view, 1% spot on.

At any rate, GW gets money from the Diskwars IP, they aren't going to kill it, just because it doesn't match their current meta.  Even in the most extreme rumors, they go out of their way to say you can use the 8th ed book to represent battles before the End Times, End Times Campaign books to represent the world being torn asunder, and then the new book to represent the new world.

Certainly you are right, the world will be contracted.  They've already started merging factions in the End Times.  But I'm also certain that the End Times were already in the planning stages when Diskwars came out, and certainly by the time the two expansions came out.  Nagash may have even been on the shelf, though I can't quite remember when that book hit relative to the Diskwars releases.

I think Sniper Troll is right.  This game will at least be 'completed'.  It wouldn't look good for FFG to leave what is clearly half of the intended game unfinished.  We will, at the very least, see the four stub races completed before they will kill the game.  The question is, how long will that take.

Sniper Troll, if I recall correctly, when they stopped invasion they did while announcing two final expansions, right?  Was it the same for Tanhauser?

Yeah, I agree that it is most likely they will complete the partial armies before they create any new options, but I am hoping for both.  I agree that it is doubtful unless the game really takes off that we will ever see Tomb Kings, Bretonnia, Ogres, etc., but I can dream!

And yes, slayers must happen soon!  I would also kill for Dragon Princes and White Lions or Phoenix Guard.

Yes thank for saying something sane. This discussion is just nonsense.

Who cares cheaper is always better for the consumer no matter what they put into the product! Pretend you saw a pencil you wanted to buy but it was $15 bucks but they put a lot of effort in costs in that pencil and other resources into it. Just next to it there's a similar pencil for sell but it was $1. Are you going to feel bad and butt hurt for the company who made a pencil and it got priced $15 bucks? Or are you going to buy that $1 pencil? Guess what you got $14 more bucks to buy on something else woohoo!
Consumers need to be butt hurt over what they "personally" buy because they worked for the cash they are choosing to spend. Not only that you also need to consider the family budget if you got a family. So I don't agree with "labor and expenses put into a products" being a priority reasoning for buying something.

No reason that as they re-tweak some monster stats (as the preview shows they have done so for shiver) for the hero and monster collections they cant add condition effects or adjust the dice rolled. As these are expansion packs in there own right they can follow established precedent and add green dice and conditions.

No idea if they will but no reason to rule it out completely yet.
