MandalorynOranj got a reaction from Rimsen in Grenade question - failing the check
I'd agree with R2 that misses being duds is kind of ridiculous. I typically narrate a miss as either the throw was off and the explosion didn't hurt anyone, or people ducked behind cover as shrapnel bounces off the walls, etc, etc. Just like how a failed attack with a blaster doesn't mean it temporarily jammed, it just failed to hit anyone.

A brief use of a Triumph:
I want to think it was the Jewel of Yavin module we were running. There was a point where part of our team was invited to board a taxi speeder to meet with some associates, and the characters that boarded happened to be our face and doctor characters, as well as my bounty hunter. As we're riding along, we discover a larger-than-strictly-necessary explosive charge with it's timer down in the single digits. We'd pretty much blown every check to notice the thing until the GM graciously had us hit some turbulence, had a panel fall, and expose the device to give us time to bail out. Without missing a beat, our face (Very new to RPG gaming) says, "I'm gonna use Cool and whack the bomb like the Fonze would." The doc and I both state very matter-of-factly that we'd like to get off the ride now, but the GM gives the face some ridiculous difficulty for his check, and says "roll it."

    One success, from the triumph.

    Face: "Aaaaaaayeeeee."

Hooray, we finally got Devaronians! I was expecting them to show up in EotE first, but as long as they're here I'm happy

Here's what I came up with:
    Lightwhip
    Skill: Lightwhip
    Damage: 6
    Crit: 2
    Range: Engaged
    Encumbrance: 1
    Hard Points: 4
    Price: ® 9,600
    Rarity: 10
Special: Breach 1, Deflection, Sunder, Unwieldy 3

The Lightwhip hilt, gets Damage 0, and loses Breach 1, and Sunder (just like the rest of the hilts), and costs 600 credits.

Basically, I took a look at the lightsaber pike, and double-bladed lightsaber, and came up with what I thought was a good mix.
The Lumiya-style lightwhip isn't the only one mentioned in the EU (Obi-Wan uses one in some book or another, that I can't remember the name of ATM), but it's distinctly different from the 'normal' light whips.  That could be handled with a custom Attachment & mod set, though I haven't thought about precisely what that would entail.

The Morality of the target doesn't matter. Killing a helpless Sith is just as Dark an act as killing a helpless common citizen. I rewatched Ep. 3 last night (it's just as bad as you remember it being), and the scene where Anakin decapitates a helpless and disarmed (ha) Count Dooku surely gave him loads and loads of Conflict. In fact, your argument that Morality of the target affects Conflict of the act is basically the same one Palpatine uses to convince him to do it .

I'm a radiologic technologist.  I pose people like mannequins and then shoot high energy photons through them and see what comes out the other side.

Spirit of the Century is a great pulp RPG that uses the Fate system. It's set post-WW1 and includes lots of weird Science! (not to be confused with science). Great game, the SRD is available for free online.

I don't know if you can rightly call it a Force and Destiny game if nobody is Force-sensitive... That just becomes an EotE or AoR game with strong moral themes. And in that case, those PCs should probably also be using Obligation/Duty (in addition to Morality).
