Honestly this is probably the first "house rule" I'll start using in my games. The new Stunned rule adds needless complexity to a very simple base game rule, seems weird mechanically, and gimps the Stunned condition. These Descent-based games have too much "skirmish miniatures game crunch" as it is, and since they add unpredictable "effects" to unit activations each round it's already hard enough to form a skirmish-style strategy across multiple rounds anyway. Anything that simplifies rules is a good thing.
Perhaps writing the rule this way was supposed to make these figures even harder to deal with to make up for AI deficiencies as opposed to playing against a human Imperial player, but I'd rather keep the rules simpler and turn the difficulty up to Hard if that's the case.

It seems like the following suggested rules change to the Stunned condition could have been a simple and straight forward approach to making it work with the App:
"An Imperial figure with the Stunned condition spends its first action to discard it."
This leaves the Imperial figure with one more action to spend on its first instruction such as, Move to Attack, Pounce, etc.
Why does it need to be any more complicated than this?

We need a way to add in imperial units. I have been playing through the campaign with my son and we keep getting Nexu’s popping up constantly. It would make more sense thematically if some elite stormtroopers popped out instead of a nexu inside an imperial base. And in those instances when I defeat the wrong unit I can put it back in.

Sweet! I hope they put those pages in their Pro series folio's. I don't really want to deal with 3 ring binders. So getting closer!

Rather than paint these tiny bits, I thought custom decals would be easier and faster.  These were completed in two evenings.  I've just gotten started with Armada and only have the core set as of last weekend, so don't have any of the other squadrons yet to share, but hope to in the future.  Decals were applied, R2 units painted, wash applied, and matte airbrush.  Models are the stock unpainted and unprimed straight from the box. Enjoy.

While these will work in a pinch. They are not the right size. I have used these and they are not the right size at all. 2 1/4" x 2 1/2" != 1 5/8" x 2 1/2"

On the off chance that FFG actually reads their own forums... could we please get some decent storage for those darn upgrade cards.  I've got them in a regular sized card box right now and it's not that great a way.  Make some official binder pages or a nice acrylic box and I'd be all over that.

There is no status phase at the beginning of round 1. So the imperial player will not start the game with threat. The status phase is at the end, that is when the threat dial moves.

The way it is shown here, you would have 4 threat at the first status phase in a threat level 2 mission. 6 threat in a 3 threat mission.

    *Edit*
    This is still not correct

There is no "initial threat" Unless I am missing that. Threat only gets added during a status phase. Status phase is at the end of the round. The counter will remain 0 until the first status phase at the end of the round. Then the threat will move up by the amount specified on the campaign sheet. With the exception of missions that state that there is an initial threat level like "Vipers Den"

I went with option 1 because I really like the artwork and the feel of the "board game" boxes. By it's nature it expands as new expansions are released. I left room for new deployment cards when future expansions come out, and they should have an icon that indicates which expansion they are from so you can find the components in the right box. I'll end up carrying them all around in a larger box or large bin, so sort of a combination with option 3.

    Got my organizer.

You know how on ebay shipping is like $15 for anything from a small card to a jewel box (things that should not cost $15 to ship) because the seller is trying to show a low "price" and get money back on the shipping?

That is NOT the case with Gothsonika. My package came packaged in at least $8 worth of materials, and it was WELL wrapped. Each piece separately taken care of in it's own little bubble. So I say to anyone who is looking at that $15 in shipping and going "Man that is a bit pricey for shipping", JUST DO IT! I suspect that had he not taken the care that he did, the box insert would have arrived broken. Don't get me wrong, it is very well constructed, and sturdy. But the mail people in my area are reaaaaaly rough with packages. They even managed to destroy a box of dragon shields I ordered.

And on to the actual insert. My god I love this thing, and I cannot wait for you to get the Descent one done! I have now taken my inserts in and out of the box like 10 times, just to enjoy how easy it is to setup a game. Easily cut 10 to 15 minutes off of my setup and break down time. And I suspect that will get even faster as I get used to the tile placements. Not only that, but now I don't have to worry about organizing the tokens and cards around the game board either. As they all have their own modular homes.

Tonight is board game night with a local group that meets up at a Denny's for various games. Usually about 15 to 30 people show up. And several play IA. This arrived just in time for me to show it off. Goth, you should have included business cards in my box

    Thanks for the work!

*edit* do you have something small in mind for those of us who might be buying multiple wave 1's, that would match up with this? Not go inside the box mind you. Right now my second set of sabs fits on top of two of my other chars, but I have no idea what I'm going to do if I get more reb troopers than what I have.

Cut the tool in acrylic. But make the Teeth (not the single tooth) area a bit wider in diameter, also there would need to be a slight recessed "ring" that an O-ring could rest in. The other piece of the tool would hold the ring in place. Now the rigid tooth has a soft area to work against while still getting "clicks". And if it's done right, wear is not an issue, as the O-Ring should be easily (and cheaply) replaceable.

    For anyone who cares,

This paper is great! It's 216GSM

And feels better than the 200. If you score your fold lines with a razor sharp knife, the boxes come out feeling as good as a retail box. This paper also seems to be easier to locate, and cheaper on a per sheet basis than 200GSM paper.

*edit* Also this paper flows through tray feeders just fine as it is designed for them. You don't have to feed it through the single sheet feeder that most card stock needs to be sent through. I ran mine through This Printer

*edit* I'm thinking of trying to  do a modpodge application over the external facing surfaces to see if I can achieve that "plastic coating" feel you get from retail boxes. However i"m not sure if that will work as modpoge tends to soak into things prior to setting if the item is porous.

Oh that is perfectly reasonable. I thought the size 2 was "sleeved" version of box. And I don't sleeve my cards. If size 2 is just more room for more cards, then I got no problems with the work around.

While the graphics may not be really stellar, the fact that this mat is not a vinyl playing surface has promise.

I have wanted from the start, a playmat made out of the same material that most card game play mats are made out of. So I'm going to be very happy to give the star field one a shot! It drives me crazy playing on the vinyl playmats and often I'll just opt to play directly on my table with taped off borders. As there is less slip on that surface.

Good job FFG, I can't wait until my mat gets in so I can test it out. I hope it lives up to expectations!

Please add more prints! A nebula would be better than the plain star field. I myself am not a fan of ones that have planets or asteroids on them. Without any form of 3d effect it makes the game look more like you are playing on a picture. That is less so with the nebula and star field maps.

Just curious as I don't play a lot of the campaign and would like to see threads specific to the Skirmish side of things. Also, if I did have a campaign question, I'd hate to have to wade through all the Skirmish talk.  I can only assume that Skirmish will gain momentum as it heads into its first tournament season and it might be best to keep the camps separate for easy of use.

I just sent this through the "contact" method on the main page. But I figured I would post it here to see if anyone else would appreciate FFG making sheets for the small cards.

"At this point I have TOO MANY TINY CARDS, and no good way to store/sort them.

I don't have this problem with any of the board game or LCG full size cards. As there are tons of binders and card sheet's on the market for them.

Please please please, get with Ultra-Pro, or come up with your own card sheets / binders that are designed for holding the small cards.

For a game like X-Wing, it would be really nice if we could have the tiny cards in a binder. I already do this for my full size cards, and it makes the picking the ship part of the process easier. But when it comes to upgrades and what not, it's an annoying process that gets in the way of my groups playtime.

If the upgrade cards could also be put into a binder that would be nice.

    Thank you."
