  1. I play Rebels because I identify with their theme personally and find some of the attitudes of the people who worship the Empire distasteful, especially in today's political environment.
  2. Imperial ships that don't carry crew are so aggressively priced that they make up for the cost of a Decimator or Shuttle (which is also super aggressively priced). The fact they can load up an incredible ship like RAC and still have room for an ace is the difference between them and other factions - a loaded Ghost can only take Biggs. Vader, Kylo and Palp are such amazing crew that this post seems a little entitled.
  3. Been playing since wave 1, flying him off and on in different leagues, along with many other ships. Not that you need to fly him at all to realize a ship that moves last, stacks tokens, and double repositions has the best of every world.
  4. Building your list with a solution to Soontir (or Phantoms at that time) limited choices greatly, and even if you made the right choice and caught Soontir in arc, he would still dodge all damage. It doesn't take a ton of skill to double reposition with perfect information AND have tokens and dice mods to cover yourself.
  5. Biggs has already been nerfed once. In order to nerf him again, in the current meta of massive alpha strikes and super reliable 5 dice attacks, they would have to upgrade Rebel defenses across the board. Which would be great. It sucks paying the Biggs tax to compete.
  6. Thug Lyfe and Brobots were both very good before JM5K.
  7. C3PO works only on defense and only for the ship he's on. It's not similar.
  8. Yes. Between Soontir and Defenders, token tanking has done enough damage to the game. Giving such a powerful ability to generics (plus the ability to ignore stress, further neutering rebels) for only one point is silly.
  9. That TIE int title is broken as hell. Token tanking is enough of a problem already.

Because "bad" is highly subjective. But in a discussion of the merits of a new release when people's hard earned money is on the line, letting people know you like cards that aren't good is important because There's a fundamental difference between saying "I like this card" or "I don't like this card" and saying "This card is bad" or "This card is awesome". Both are subjective statements fundamental to an individual playing style. For example, I personally, have no love for Palp Aces, but that doesn't mean it's bad. It just means I don't like it as it doesn't suit the way I like to play this game. Do you inject that commentary into every post about Palp Aces? A) This is a thread discussing the new expansion, almost exclusively, and its contents. Remind me why you're upset that people are discussing the expansion's contents? B) If you have a problem with people discussing their opinions, I suggesting removing yourself from social media altogether. What's the point of having a forum if not to discuss these things? WTF else would you suggest we do on this site? If you go back and reread my posts you would find that's exactly my point.

What is the point in smugly adding disclaimers that some people enjoy playing with bad cards

Not every single release needs to be tournament based. There's a ton of people that play this game for fun, and on an entirely non-tournament/non-competative basis. But people who play for fun can still have fun with well designed expansion packs. There's no reason for FFG to release bad stuff.Inspired Recruit not being Rebel only is super disappointing, can't imagine how they missed that. The ship is pretty underwhelming without access to Palp or another game changing crew. Why should inspired Recruit be Rebel only? They have a plethora of rebel only crew already, and as the protagonists of the series, they will have plenty more in the future as well I'm sure. No reason to keep a card that is perfectly fine in the other factions thematically and mechanically to themselves. It is certainly one person's opinion that it is fine thematically and mechanically in other factions. In my opinion that isn't true at all for Scum, who already have a lot of good options and now get a 1 point option to make their stress mechanics even better. Giving it to Imperials certainly doesn't fit the survival of the fittest theme and just makes up for their weakness for only one point, effectively neutering stresshogs, which have already suffered because of scum.
