  1. Except there are two new TIEs ... a generic and the Special Forces (which is being promoted heavily in the toy line) ... if the starter has two generics then the Special Forces TIE would be available separately much as the Advanced was in wave 1.
  2. Agreed. And if the starter set has new models, they need to be able to be purchased individually as well...
  3. T-70 X-Wing First Order TIE First Order Special Forces TIE
  4. I agree its nice to get new pilots for the tie. But the standard academy tie is so point efficient I never use the named ships.... I agree, which was my original point for the thread ... I was longing for some new named TIEs that would be compelling to field (and in Imperial Blue too!)
  5. Sorry to Necro, but wheeeee! https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2015/7/31/lying-in-wait/ 4 New named TIE pilots! Thank you FFG!
  6. Has the report finished already? I thought it was 1 1/2 hours long?
  7. As Tipperary pointed out, Wave 8 was already mostly done by February 2014, so though it's possible, I doubt Ep7 stuff will be in Wave 8.Could be an aces type thing maybe, though I'd be perfectly content if Ep7 ships never happened. They're making a wierd assumption that FFG started the wave as usual and then slotted EpVII stuff into place when they got access. I'm not convinced that would work, contrary to popular belief most abilities /are/ highly thematic and not the easiest to swap between pilots, and I don't know how long their modeling process takes, but I sort of doubt it only takes up a little bit of the end of the dev cycle. I'm not. The script was written and filming finished last year. There are at least two named Rebel pilots already revealed/widely known. Lucas film would be able to provide ample info on said pilots to inform FFG's pilot ability decisions. As to the Empire if there aren't any "named" Empire pilots in the movie, I'm sure FFG could come up with some "whisper" and "echo" style names... 3D modelling of a ship takes 2-3 weeks (c.f. Team Covenant interview with the model designer). The necessary info for the models (for the "main" ships) would have been available long ago if only as a byproduct of CG modelling and Actual modelling required for the movie. Christian Petersen mentioned that certain licensees had been nervous about pre-production prototypes being visible in the FFG offices (c.f. Last year's In Flight report). So, the models could/should have been done long ago... They have had ample time to produce at the very least the "iconic" Episode VII ships and pilots... an 18 month cycle to release (say, Christmas), puts them starting half way through last year - half way through the shooting of the film (script and life sized TIE and X-Wing models in place). I don't think it is unreasonable to assume that we will be seeing at least the "iconic" ships announced ... models only - stats (and spoiler) free... This December there's an awfully huge bandwagon to be on, and I'm sure FFG is not going to miss it (boats permitting)
  8. I don't know if this is any help, but the colours can be replaced by armament symbols. The FFG produced plastic range ruler that is a Nationals prize has replaced colours with the upgrade symbols... You can see a photo of this ruler in the first post of Jugger's Gen Con Pictures thread (https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/183621-juggers-gen-con-pictures/page-1) "Missile" for Black "Ion Cannon" for Blue "Turbo Laser" for Red If you are looking at a weaponry upgrade, then the icon will tell you which colour dice it is affecting. Maybe you could copy/print the symbols and attach them to your range ruler?
  9. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in both these cases it would only work if the Crit dealt was one of the following: Minor Explosion, Thrust Control Fire or Munitions Failure Right?
  10. I don't know ... maybe I just haven't played enough, but as cool as the weapon symbols on that ruler are, my brain needs to see the colours of the dice...
  11. Hmmm... but that would not make much business sense ... if the Avenger was a new, distinct model, surely you'd sell more as a standalone expansion where players are apt to buy multiples. Would many people buy 2, 3 or even 4 raiders to get their multiples of the Avenger? Hmmm... unless you had it as an individual pack as well and the Avenger that came with the Raider was a repaint with more awesome pilots/cards for the Avenger...
  12. I don't know - it's status is set to 'shipped' but it does not say what has 'shipped' I'm assuming it's just the part ... it would make sense for them to have spares on hand for situations like this.
  13. But with an empty shelf above for "new product" ... historically (at least for X-Wing) that's where they've put the new stuff when it is announced (usually just after the In Flight report). There is an empty shelf above all three X-Wing mini shelves...
  14. They've shipped my fix already! I'll have to wait a bit being on the other side of the planet, but WOW that was quick!
  15. This image has been posted to a thread in the X-Wing forum: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CLGbyRVWEAA8FKp.jpg:large
  16. There is, but they've let Hasbro announce and display an Episode VII TIE fighter... IF they let them show anything, I suspect it will only be models of craft currently visible in the teasers and without any stats for fear of spoilers...
  17. Well, I'm assuming they have quite a few games to announce. Not all of that space is going to be for the Star Wars family. Historically they've always put the new stuff in the shelf above the currently available - on the LHS of that photo all three SW mini games have a shelf each with an empty one above ... if I was a betting man I'd say this is where we'll see new product for these games, not in all the blank space on the RHS of the cabinet.
  18. I'm very keen to see them side by side also (hopefully from GenCon pix) Home One seems so sleek and thin, not the bulbous hefty mass it seems to be in the movies, whereas the AF is the opposite... I know the AF is short and stubby, but I hope its "girth" doesn't put Home One to shame!
  19. Frankly, I agree in terms of style/aesthetics. I personally much prefer the OT and (now Legends) EU to the Clone Wars, Prequels, or even Rebels. At the In Flight report last years GenCon, the CEO specifically stated that there is nothing stopping them doing ships from Rebels and that they would do so if there was one they wanted to include. He went on to say that if they included them, it would be in a "realistic" form, not highly stylised like they are in the show.
  20. I'm sure they'll just send the missing part - otherwise we'll talk
  21. Good dial, especially considering that 180 degree arc: Thank you!
  22. Ummm... did we know that the YV-666 had a '0' maneuver? Yes Dang - the dial was spoiled? What's the rest of the dial like?
  23. Ummm... did we know that the YV-666 had a '0' maneuver?
  24. That wouldn't be so bad had it actually made it into the box - I guess it dropped out on the factory floor. FWIW I'm pretty particular about opening my boxes (too much time with LEGO!) - don't want to risk anything getting lost...
