I think you would get more utility running both archers as 2x1 with combat ingenuity it would also free up some points for other fun stuff like Fortuna's Dice on Ardus or the Infantry since as @TallGiraffe stated there is no benefit for the fallen hero currently unless you are just trying to add a bit of my HP in one of the trays. (fortuna's dice on a hero is soooo fun)

  4. yup. but if they are rallying as an action then they aren't doing anything, if they are attacking then rallying you can spend all those blights to make the dice go bye bye..
  5. I am waiting for the lancer pack to release so I can try the 3x2 with CI and MCW. I want to test it out as an alternative to the 4x3 reanimates. It is a bit more resilient while dropping off a smidge of damage potential.

Shooting than blighting is a great combo. The lancer squad did 20 damage with fire rune alone, while blighting everything it was hurting...The archers blighted regularly as to be expected allowing the 3x3 of Reanimates to survive longer, and they probably would have been even more effective if I were paying attention and spent the Blight on my opponent's Ardus...oh well...Aggressive Drummer was helpful since I could dial in a charge and still death call...
  8. Yeah and unfortunately Archers are also the only expansion that if you have two cores worth of an army you have the chance of not using the models...everything else I want because I'll use. Archers I did buy just for the cards, serves me right for buying too much but meh...

  11. If your opponent is so obviously telegraphing their moves with premeasuring, use it to your advantage and modify your strategy if you think they are planning something silly!
  12. How about you just put a link to the general tutorial list in the Hobby forum, it has a lot of good resources include links to Sorastro's RW specific videos... @Polda Made a pretty nice thorough list and seems to consistently be adding to it.

  15. I've been looking at this conversation as a pool that I don't know if it is cold or not...I guess it's cannonball time... Asking why is the best thing ever, in like 99% of situations, and I don't really think that this is one of the 1% times but since I am not one of the designers I cannot say exactly why but I can give my idea as to the answer, whether it helps or not is yet to be seen but I am not trying to start an argument here. I think the Range ruler is the only tool that can be used to premeasure because it is this games ruler, we aren't using a tape measure in this game and the distance markers are not a standard unit so they game us the range ruler for this. Movement templates are here for moving unit to point a to point b, these are not what you use to premeasuring because they still want there to be some guess work in figuring out where you would end up in a turn or wheel. This is like using a range finder that is just some lines and numbers etched on a lense in a scope, sure you can see out 100 yards in a straight line but it isn't going to accurately show you where you would end up on a turn, that is where the estimation comes in.

Miniature games always include impassable terrain...its just a standard thing and yeah it can be really unforgiving especially in a template base system like this however, in the games I have played it has added a lot of dynamic maneuvering that I haven't really seen in my previous rank and file games. And in the end, it's a core mechanic in the game and it is what it is. Ask yourself "Am I still having fun playing this game even though I can't march through a giant rock?" and "Can I just plan to get around this rock since I know that I cannot phase through it?"

  18. I'm in this boat, I don't like playing against heavily proxied armies...a unit or upgrade is fine to test out a list prior to buying but more that that and I'm out...

You it is a versatile big group that is pretty survivable, like you said MS or Damage depending on what you are targeting with Slurm Team Six (what is SHOULD have named the topic...why am I so bad?) and you have the Deathcaller on the back end popping off little blight wounds when the runes are right to kill off bigger things...
  20. Yeah I'm going to have to atleast proxy three worms until the expac comes out...which may also change the list a bit with new cards...doubtful but possible...
  21. oh god this discussion...it got pretty heated in the facebook group...My reading of that card is that it only affects turns and wheels not charges because it used icons, and in the RRG the charge options have different icons referencing the modifiers. That's how i'm playing the game for now, if FFG erratas or clarifies then cool...I feel the explanation saying it combines the effect or both turn and a charge is saying that the turning charge does both things but it is not treated as both of those things...

Using the worms as the main with Ardus trying to flank and kill things with his Axe blenders. While the small block of reanimates run about popping deathcalls on sturdier groups...and of course archers are just blighting and blighting...
