You absolutely need to pick-up 1 Tie Expansion and 1 X-Wing expansion to open up a variety of new unique pilots for your Core ships. You don't need more than one though as getting 3 ships (and extra dice/templates) in Core is more value for the price. So if I were you ... Get 3 core. That's 4 X-Wings and 7 Ties. Then add other expansions as desired.

I think the Z-95 Headhunter is the most likely to show up from what is missing (cheaper/weaker X-Wing used for training or by "pirates"). I also think that the Wayfarer-Class Freighter is a strong possibility as it's the only starting ship from FFG's roleplaying game not already a miniature.

If any tournaments for Star Wars LCG or X-Wing are scheduled, please let us know. I believe the community for these games is growing as all over the valley product is starting to be gobbled up at the 3-4 shops on my typical travel routes.
