Also, X-Wing and Android: Netrunner may have skewed some folk's perception of "success" for FFG's collectable lines. I'm sure this game doesn't sell like either of those, and it may not have as huge of an OP community, but it is obviously doing well enough that they continue supporting it.

I imagine that Jar Jar is so consumed by his past deeds that he spends his time drinking his sorrows away in a Cloud City casino

Do not expect to see prequels ever. FFG has said as much.

I might miss the little pieces of cardboard that came in the old ones but plastic is less wasteful and therefor superior.

I've only just looked into this, and sure I can play it casually with some friends in town.  There are plenty of stores in town as well that seem to hold gaming sessions with this one involed.

I like how the deck building system is right now.  I recall when Magic was first out, I got into it.  Bought some of the first batch of cards, got the second expansion, went to get the 3rd and thats when the whole "collectable" aspect of the game ruined it for me.  The stores started to realize what a cash cow these were now, and only sold full boxes of packs, and mostly was pre-orders sold.  So I missed out on that expansion and pretty much gave up following the game when I saw it happening to the 4th set.

This one doesn't make me have to worry about that rush for getting collections built up do to how you build the decks.

As I learn the game, I'm hoping to get out there and play it casually more often with others.

Depends on your area really, if you have other players interested in playing it’s a great time to start playing. The new cycle just started and the current meta-game is going to get really shaken up. As to the complaints of the objective set system, I personally love it, it makes the actually process of finding the cards and building the deck easier but the decisions you have to make are just as hard as any other traditional deck building game. It also creates this really interesting part of the game where you can figure out what is in your opponent's deck and essentially "count cards" for the edge battle to figure out how many force icons they could be betting.
The biggest trouble with this game and some of the other LCG's though is that it can be hard to find a group to play with.

Unfortunate that happened in your area. Going fine here and in others. We love the objective set based deck building.

I thought I would share my custom dividers that I have created:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/bi0g3galm82spb7/StarWarsLCG-Dividers%28Portrait%29.pdf?dl=0

    Sample:

Each divider includes a list of the cards contained within each objective set as well as the objective number and source (Core, Edge of Darkness, etc.).  I created a couple of dividers for the challenge decks as well although they do not list the contained cards.

They are designed to be printed on to A4 sheets (four dividers per page).  If you want you can print the backs as well that match:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/eqpirpwa54z08fs/StarWarsLCG-Dividers%28Portrait%29-Backs.pdf?dl=0

I also created some custom icons to work with the dividers.  I had to make up a couple of icons for the light and dark neutral cards.  I thought these might be handy for other projects.  The icons are available individually in nice big resolutions at:

    Any feedback/suggestions are welcome.

If a few people are interested I could create some for landscape all I would need to do is find some different artwork for the background.

The information on these dividers is correct to the best of my knowledge, if you notice any errors, please let me know.

The artwork used on the cards was found freely on the internet.  If you are the owner of any of these images and would not like me to use them, please let me know and I will remove them.

The way I think about it is this: Online competitive games require updates often. They get regular bug fixes, stat changes, buffs, nerfs, etc. The games are not perfected right away but they grow better with each update. These changes are set in place to create a better experience with the game as well as balance it and overall, the devs intend keep the game fun. Similarly, games like Star Wars LCG receive updates. Nothing is perfect but Living Card Games like Star Wars do get the support they deserve from FFG.

No matter what forum I go on to discuss this game I see a lot of complaining. It is frustrating to know that very few in the community put trust into FFG to create a quality product, to balance the game, to give it the attention it needs.

They have demonstrated that they can and will improve this game time and time again.

I've been running and I love it, I had 2 of the objective out a kyle on the board and 2 kyles in hand, what was fantastic since I got to strike with him 3 times in one turn

The objective also works wonderfully with the Aluminum falcon

Quite possibly licensing related. Netrunner doesn't ever have to send things through LFL/Disney for approval. Hopefully they eventually get that figured out.
