Samurai were traditionally quite skilled at unarmed. See Aikijujutsu, etc. In fact, Aikijujutsu is based on kenjutsu. When you learn kenjutsu, you're also learning unarmed combat. I think that's what Musashi meant when he said "learn one thing, learn 10,000 things". So I am wondering if we will have options reflecting that. Maybe it doesn't matter for the game.
-
Eh I haven't gotten too deep into the rules yet, so I don't know how combat works yet. Just skimming the book. I think I was asking if we will see more kata, etc. Especially for unarmed kata.
-
Will they make combat more, detailed, for lack of a better word?
-
Does anyone think they will expand on the combat rules? As in more martial techniques? I've not any experience with the first 4 editions of the game, so I don't know what has come before.

Can I aim at the Intelligence Officer?
-
Yes. Aim for a turn, shoot next time around. "One shot, One kill"

Dag leans around the edge of the doorway and Aims at the nearest Imperial trooper.

In the RAW, when a group's total Duty reaches 100, they get an Alliance Contribution point, and their Duty is reset to zero. How would you assemble a Duty table for the purposes of triggering Duty after reset?
-
Dag takes a maneuver to move to the door, and takes position at the edge of the door, looking in.
-
Dag mutters some choice expletives under his breath as he gets to his feet and readies his rifle, bringing the stock to his shoulder, practicing proper trigger discipline, and pointing the barrel slightly down to the ground. He drops to one knee, waiting for the others, keeping his attention on the main entrance to/from the roof. He's not in charge of this op, so he waits for orders.
-
"Now then, shall we begin?"
I have to say, I read this in Khan's voice from Star Trek Into Darkness

-
Dag checks and rechecks his gear. Doublechecks the charge on his rifle and pistol. He was hired to fill holes in this squad's ranks, but he didn't really know these guys well yet. He hoped that would not be a problem. He also wondered to himself about the Jedi. He seemed less serene than expected. He put those thoughts aside and began reviewing the mission details. He began "quizzing" the other members of the squad, making sure he and they recalled important details.
"Did anyone get the details of our extraction plan? Is there any support in case things get hairy? Do we have any intelligence regarding the numbers, type, and disposition of opposing forces?"

Edited, wrong thread. oops

Ok updated my character a bit. Bumped up Brawn.
-
Alright, guess I'm filling the role or weapons or assault specialist.
Here is my character. I have Dangerous Covenants ,which is where I got my weapons.
-
I'll play a Mercenary Soldier, hired to fill out their ranks a little. No-nonsense, does-what-needs-to-be-done kind of character. Human most likely.

Seven Samurai...
-
Oncoming Storm it is. I have a copy of Force and Destiny, since I suspect that is required.
-
Oh yeah I'd like to join in the Galactic Civil War if there is space.
-
I'm looking for a play by post game to get into.
Is anyone looking to start one? I'm interesting in playing, not GMimg
-
I'd be interested in joining if there is still room.
-
I'd be interested in this as well. I have every book FFG has put out for Star Wars, except the FaD Beta.

So there is a benefit to buying both Force Senstive trees? IE you can eventually get FR 3?

Ahhhhh I see. I haven't read that far into the book yet. Ok. And yeah, swords/daggers are obviously more lethal than empty hands.
