Felin reacted to any2cards in D2e Card Viewer Version 2.9.0
On Wednesday, I published a new version of the D2e Card Viewer 2.9.0.  For this version, I have added errata cards for all of the missing cards that show errata (both official and community errata) that exists within the CRRG.
I would like to thank @Dadler93 for pointing out the missing cards.
EDIT: In addition, I added the Turn Summary cards (for both the player and the overlord) to the test page.

Felin reacted to any2cards in D2e Card Viewer Digital Assets Update
Thanks to a user from BGG, I recently came into possession of digital assets significantly better than the ones I had previously used for the Plot Decks, Agents, Rumors, Advanced Quests, and Lieutenants.  I am in the process of upgrading my cards to use these new digital assets.  So far, I have updated the Plot Decks and Agent cards.

Thanks a lot for continuing to support your tracker Atom4geVampire!
    One small thing I noticed:
I can't add translations to the new classes and skills yet. This is not a priority issue, since the pack hasn't been released in german thus far, but it would be great if I could add the translations once it's released.
    Regards,
    Delphi

Felin reacted to any2cards in D2e Card Backs
Over the past several months, I have been asked by many people if I had images for the backs of the cards that come with D2e.  This morning, I received two more such requests.
I finally decided to get off of my butt, and generate images for all of the card backs, and to centrally store them in one location within my Dropbox.  Most of the card backs are of sufficiently high resolution (they have not been shrunk to pair with my D2e Card Viewer) that they can be utilized for various endeavors.  In addition, where appropriate, I provided blank versions of the backs as well as all of the appropriate "named" versions.  The blanks will allow those so inclined to generate their own custom backs.
Please note that two of the backs (City Event Decks and Corrupt Citizens) are not very good quality.  There simply aren't better assets available that I have been able to find.  I am going to try taking hi-res photos of the card backs (rather than scanned images that they are currently made from) to see if the results are better.
Here is a link to all of the card backs:
    D2e Card Backs
Any previous links that I have provided to any of you for card backs will no longer work.  Access all of them via the above link.
    Enjoy !

1/ Mana weave is an item only the hero with it equipped can use it ... not his familiar nor anyone else.
2/ First point : Nimble is an 'interrupt' in order to use it you must be able to use it.
Second point : a big monster (anything more than 1x1) can only interrupt himself / be interrupted if he can 'expand' before

here the 1st point his ok .. but not the second
So in your example the Meriod shrinks moves one space, two spaces .. Jain wants to interrupt .. but as the Merriod can't expand she can't use Nimble !
monster keep moving and can expand in the place with the dots !

Side note before expanding Jain can try to use Nimble : this time she can but as when doing this the Merriod must first be 'expanded' Jain will be able only to move either to the left or back left (side by side with H)

By the way I advise you to take a look at the CRRG it contains 'A Lot' of Usefull Informations

Just as a complement to Xyphistor answer we are on the App/Road to Legend part .. so don't forgot to read the correspondant part :
    - either on the CRRG always on p17 the frame down right of the page
    - or on the Road to legend Rule book p.11 & 23

This was posted on BGG by athlim.  I thought I would post it here as well:

FFG recently announced they gonna close some of their scenario editor tools. If you want to save some of the scenarios you should do so asap.

    Deadline is January 21st

We can hope that the "big thing" that was mentioned in the AMA months ago for "new" Descent-world content is an improved working vault.

Felin reacted to any2cards in D2e Card Viewer - For Firefox
I am the author of the D2e Card Viewer extension. Previously, it had only been available for Chrome.

I had received many requests in the past for a version that would run on Firefox.

With the invaluable help of BGG's DeathRx and reddit's banjo78910, we have re-written the code of the extension so that the exact same version of the code can not only run on Chrome, but now also runs on Firefox !!!

We have all tested the code fairly extensively, but since it was a significant re-write, if you find any issues, please let me know.

So, if you are a Firefox user, you can access the add-on here:

Felin reacted to any2cards in D2e Card Templates & Assets
As many of you may already know, I am the author of the D2e Card Viewer extension for Chrome.  In addition, I recently went through and re-generated all of the cards that are used by the viewer.
After this work was done, I was contacted by several people asking if I would share the card templates and assets I used to make the cards, so that those individuals could create custom content of their own.  I took some time to gather all of the assets, and have placed them into my DropBox.  I will update this if I ever get even better (or original digital assets) for any of the cards.
Note that there are folders for each type of card, as well as a folder called "general" and a folder called "fonts".  The "general" folder contains assets that are used across many cards, and the "fonts" folder contains all of the fonts used for the text and symbols on cards.  Even if you only need one type of card (say you want to create a new monster), make sure you look in the "general" folder, as it may contain items you may need (such as the dice assets, etc.).
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me via PM, or via e-mail at: any2cards@yahoo.com
    Enjoy !

Felin reacted to Zaltyre in D2e Card Viewer - Image Project Update - Complete
I'm personally very happy the card viewer exists at all, and also that it was so carefully and thoroughly made. It is a useful tool which has added to many an online discussion of the game, especially as a reference. Having such a resource on hand serves to strengthen the community dialogue and improve the interactions within it. Thanks for all your hard work.

Felin reacted to any2cards in D2e Card Viewer - Image Project Update - Complete
On August 10, 2019, I decided to take on a project to re-generate all of the Descent Second Edition cards that were used by the D2e Card Viewer.  I did this because many of the cards in use were barely legible.  In addition, they came from many different sources, so their "look and feel" were not at all similar.
In order to perform this labor of love, I had to learn, from scratch, several pieces of new software including, but not limited to:
    Adobe inDesign
    GIMP
    FastStone
    GitHub Desktop
and several others.  The big one was learning how to use Adobe inDesign.  Quite frankly, I would have never made it without the invaluable help and patience of @Sadgit. I think within the first week of this effort, I communicated with him no fewer than 1,647,232 times - and I am pretty sure this number is low, especially if you add in all the questions I asked.  I am not sure what he thought about teaching a 78 year old - old dog new tricks, but I really do appreciate all of his patience, input, assistance with support files, etc.  He provided the initial starting point, and my OCD and desire to see a better "product" provided to the community supplied the rest of the necessary drive.
It took a little more than 2 months to generate 1,746 cards.  I found this an incredibly rewarding experience, as I learned some new skills while having fun doing it.
Unfortunately, about three-quarters of the way through, we found out in an AMA that there would be no more physical stuff for D2e, but, what the **** ...
Now, I should point out several things.  My desire to re-create these cards was to create a product that was far more legible, consistent in look and feel, etc.  I believe I have achieved all of that.  Still, for some of the sets of cards, there simply weren't very good digital assets available.  As such, some of the cards aren't as nice as I would like them to be.  I did, however, make liberal use of things like master pages, layers, etc., so if better digital assets become available down the road, I can easily change things out and re-generate even better looking cards.
Finally, I would like to provide a shout out, and give much consideration and thanks to @Sadgit, @Zaltyre, and @Felin. These community members were invaluable resources for learning key things, gaining access to certain digital assets, and finally assistance in testing and reviewing all of the new cards to make certain that any errors (which are all mine by the way) were corrected.
Considering the amount of cards generated, and the amount of information on those cards, it is still possible that errors slipped through; if in the course of using the D2e Card Viewer you notice any errors, please let me know, and I will fix them.
Thanks to all who use the tool and who have provided valuable feedback in the past.  It is communities like this one that make me want to continue efforts such as this ...

Felin reacted to any2cards in D2e Card Viewer - Image Update Project
The Google Chrome Web store finally published the D2e Card Viewer version 2.5.  This should resolve all issues with cards moving off screen, with the screen jumping if a link is near the bottom of the screen, etc.  I have asked @Sadgit and @Felin to do some of their own testing, as they directly experienced some of these issues.
    Everything works for me.

Felin reacted to any2cards in FFG's AMA with Andrew Navaro
    Andrew's answers:
Will FFG ever produce the missing 12 Heroes from D1e for D2e?   No
Will there be any further development for D2e (*** NOT *** for the app, but physical content)?   No
Will there be a D3e?   He was very excited about Descent/Terrinoth related project that is in development, and stated that it is the most ambitious project they have ever taken on.
Why is the D2e Quest Vault and its various issues, bugs, etc. completely ignored?  It started as BETA about 5+ years ago, and continues in that state today.  There would be far more community development for the game if the software simply worked.  There is already an extensive bug report thread for the vault, so all it takes is someone at FFG to pay attention.  If you don't want to maintain it anymore, would you be willing to provide access to the code, so that the community could host it and maintain it?   This question was not addressed.

But even like that I'm happy to see that Descent, up to now, is the game with the more 'supporters' !
SW realated games have less ! and even the second 'supported' game IA... it's a Descent like game ! 😉

After receiving excellent feedback from @Sadgit and @Felin on some of the re-created hi-res cards I have finished, I went through the following cards and made appropriate changes:
    class-familiars
    class-items
    class-skills
    conditions
    familiars
    hybrid-class-skills
I am working on implementing feedback provided for the Shop Item cards.

I want to echo everyone else who has asked for more Terrinoth games. I love and have many expansion for Runebound 3, Descent 2, and Heroes of Terrinoth. I may be in the minority, but when I play board games I want to play board game IP's, not video game or movie IP's. I love the art and the recurring heroes in Terrinoth games, and also some of the repeated themes (acts, feats, surges, perils).
