AdOzzel got a reaction from soulred in Not bad...
I bought this game for my 8-year old son and we like it a lot.
This is his first time playing a card game like this, so for now, we are treating the Resource Cards like they have no text and just drawing cards to hit the resource value of the Event Cards without going over.
This is reinforcing my son's math skills while having fun. When we get to the point when we start using the text on the cards I'm sure this will enhance his strategic thinking as well. I am also hoping the game will peak his interest in other card games. I see this as sort of a "gateway" game for my son. He is getting used to using different decks at different times, shuffling cards, and learning about the "flow" of the game by focusing on the phases.
The game cost only 15 bucks, it's something my son and I can do together for fun, he's using his brain, and it may lead to him playing more strategic card games. This is a win in my book.

AdOzzel reacted to Budgernaut in Any Success with New Scum?
My mono-Scum list is just 2x of the 4 sets that capture from play and 2x Lucrative Contracts. Pretty brainless to put together, and performs about on par with the construction of the deck. My first few games were explosive, but it's fizzled out since then.
Scum & Villainy
2x The Bespin Exchang
2x Lucrative Contract
2x Hunt Them Down
2x Trandoshan Terror
2x The Hunters
What I like about it is that I can just combo all sorts of things left and right and that's fun. It feels really good to play it. I love how resources work in this deck. You don't get a lot of resource cards, but you do have a fair chance to draw objectives with 2 resources. I usually have at least 2. So when you combine that with Payout, Bounty Collection, and the reaction from The Bespin Exchange, you can usually use all of those resources every turn. In addition to removing focus tokens from objectives, you have a lot of Bounty Hunter units that can remove extra focus tokens through Lucrative Contract.
But it just doesn't come out on top. Maybe I'm just playing it wrong. I'm considering dropping Contract for Slimiest Scheme, but I love the Twist of Fate and I find the Corrupt Officials very nice for those turns when you have to attack to avoid Leia's crazy cards and then you just block damage from Luke, the Crow, or Red 5 and ready on your turn.

AdOzzel got a reaction from Budgernaut in First Sith Deck
Nice deck!
All of the suggestions above are very valid.
If you want to mix it up a bit- I usually throw in a Cruel Interrogations.
It helps lock down the board and manipulate your opponent's hand at the same time.

AdOzzel reacted to codepox in MA Players
Lobot,
We play every Monday from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. We also play during the week-end, usually on Saturday when there is not a big tournament event at the Whiz. I will be playing Star Wars LCG with another player this Saturday from ~1:45pm to ~5:00pm. If it is easier for you to come to Westboro Saturday feel free to join us. Other players might come too, last Saturday, we were 4 players. We usually post when we play on the group Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/StarWarsLCGMass/
