  1. With authothrusters coming out there cant be a title card with boost for the xwing. Then you can do the mod and the title. Fixing it would be easy Title: Rogue Squadron x-wing only; Gain the evade ability for your upgrade bar. 1pt This would let xwings evade, stay cheap and wouldnt steal the astromech slot from them. I thought about doing barrel roll instead of evade but then it may compete directly with bwings which have focus,TL and barrell roll so now xwings have focus,TL and evade. I also like evade better becasue it fits with the elite squadron idea and doesnt clash with the plus one agility astromech people use on biggs or the bwing. It also will only bring rookies up to 22 points which is naked blue squadron. It will also let pilots like luke or wedge use PTL with an R2 so they could evade and focus. This means they get to live longer. Their main problem right now is survivability in comparison to other ships. With this fix they get an action cheaper than normal, and dont lose any of the previous attempts like the astromechs. Its also xwing only so no ywing and ewing problems. As for how to get it out. just put in the next rebel ship as a bonus. just because its xwing only doesnt mean it HAS to come in an xwing. If its needed i'd be fine if it came in another ship. That can be fixed by providing two or even three of them with that single ship just in case so you dont need many.

  3. The Card next to Stay On Target and above the Photon Rockets looks like a Firespray. It also has a unique symbol next to it. Not sure but could we be getting a ship crossover. Its also a little wierd because it looks like the firespray takes up the whole picture so I wouldnt assume that its a firespray chasing an Outrider. And if the Outrider is chasing a Firespray then it would be really hard to make out anything other than the Firespray. Anyways just wanted to know what everyone thought. Could be really cool if it was a title for a generic bounty hunter that could cross factions. The pilot talent would be on the card not the ship so that could mean some cool things as well. I just hope its a premium if that is true say pay Boba Fetts cost but only get a Bounty Hunter. I am looking forward to these two new ships this game is adding so much that I think we will finally see none of the same lists over and over again. Really good time for xwing.
  4. I havent had any trouble with a phantom using most normal lists i play. It does change your tactics and your opponent can mix things up. I have lost to the phantom as well, its a good ship but I think all wave 4 ships are equally game changing which I am glad to see. So i figured I'll post them and how they own the phantom. 6 Tie Swarm: Spread out, you dont need howlrunner keep your ties about 2 away from each other and there is literally no way for it to not be in arc. beat 2 lists using the phantom this way. 1 had 1 phantom and the other had 2. It was a tough game but the biggest problem with the phantom is that when decloaking it has to move so give it no were to go(also if a phantom bumps like it did ALOT that game, sad phantom). Also for the Imps the Fett has returned. He blows Phantoms out of the water. 2 Interceptor 3 tie build: Fel loves them phantoms Turr loves only 3 of them Han Shoots first with C3PO, PTL, Nub, and Falcon title +2 ships: phantoms worst nightmare lol smoked him so bad. you evade then guess 0 and you are guaranteed 2 evasions your first shot against Han. then you can be guaranteed 1 every turn. Phantoms cant tank like a Falcon. the other 2 ships keep the rest of his list busy. or you could just spam Z95s and get falcon with a small swarm B wings are in trouble, ywings are ok, but I was using rebel aces cards that have already been revealed in a game recently and the new a wing pilot killed 2 phantoms in a single game lol. the awing in my opinion is the phantom hunter, especially with vi and ptl or pred. get a high PS a wing, boost barrel roll and focus with your veteran instincts into range 1 and side shot that thing. If anything it strips tokens. Played another game tycho aced a phantom and a third game 2 greens with VI and PTL were able to bascially make it so he had to decloak in a certain direction or get rang 1 shots from 2 a wings. They didnt kill anything but they could help control the decloak barrel rolls and boosts making the phantom never have a shot unless i got a shot too...I mean its only fair
  5. This post is amazing. He is so self entitled its incredibly amusing. I can't believe how deserving of everything this guy feels and then he posts this here for what, sympathy? lol. I particularly liked the end where he signs as A Dissatisfied, Impoverished Customer. . Why are you impoverished? Why should FFG care? did FFG break your lightsaber? Is that why you are dissatisfied with them? I mean you already said you aren't competitive so stop whining and print the cards out. Anyways let me tell you a story there once a company that was more expensive that FFG, its name was GW and then there was the inifty game, and hawkwargames, who makes dropzone commander, and the wargods game and warmachine, and now they also have hordes, and MTG where you need to buy full boxes to get the good cards for a single release, and those are all the time..... Star Wars X-wing is an entry game to the miniature scene. I have been playing miniature games for a long time and this game is extremely cheap compared to most, easy to learn, and well balanced. Also miniature gaming is a hobby, it is funded with disposable income. I dont know a single gamer who doesnt budget for hobbies like this regardless of any financial woes. So in conclusion someone needs to get over themselves submit an email properly to FFG (although I think the reason this wasn't done was because it wouldn't exactly get the author anywhere) and stop projecting to the interwebs. I hope everyone well in their future hobby purchases and I have to say the transport is amazing and well priced for what you get, I strongly recommend it. Best, Basilisk51

  7. I posted this in another post but i thought it would be good to put it here as well. This thread is why i usually just go to board game geek. Its not even out, remeber how broken imperial aces was with its 1 bank barrel roll or its no focus for you.... Anyways let me shed some light on some logical reasoning about why the a-wing and b-wing. First this fixed the a-wing but if you want a lower price its a missile slot. This makes the a wing and the z-95 not mutually exclusive. The a wing is faster has tycho and can take EPT easier so target lock and focus but its more expensive. OR you could take a cheaper z-95 and just get a singe action on the generic guys for the missile. So what do you want a cheap missile that might not do as well or an expensive missile on a ship that can still die super easilly. Now the b-wing. Its very popular so people want them and now people want aces, especially with the abilities they get which people pay for but are gonna be really fun. kinda like that 1 bank barrol roll that is really cheap or that 1,3,5 kiogran you choose when you reveal your dial. Anyway also what do b-wings not do well against.... Interceptors. for 99 points you can run all 4 named sabre pilots(not fels wrath) and it shreads 4 b-wing lists and even xxbb lists. If rebels got the y-wing then it wouldnt make imperial aces any better. its got that turret, a droid slot, was fixed with the ept droid. B-wings die to interceptors. I have seen many games where fel alone took on 2 b-wings and won without the b-wings getting a single range 1 shot while fel was all over them. 1 agility v 3 or 4 agility is not even a competition. this makes imperial aces better by including a ship that the imperial aces ships excel against. Next point: Imperial players keep complaining about how rebels are the meta. To this i say run different lists. I have run against the swarm so often i dont fear it anymore. I rarely see a list without howlrunner or at least 4 ties. I have ran against dual firesprays so much i know how they have to fly. This is becoming more and more apparent everywhere. I went up against a 3 interceptor 1 adv 3 tie list yesterday and i have to say i had no idea what do you shoot first. The adv did ok but the interceptor i just never really get to play against and although all 3 died the damage was done and i got tabled with an xbbb list. I have never seen a list with 2 interceptors 2 ties 2 bombers run by anyone else but me and the synergy you can get is amazing. The adv. is also the best escort for the bomber hands down. Its like flying rebels except you get all the imperial toys. 2 adv. 3 bomber is a really nasty list with all those cluster missles and (i believe jonus dont have my cards on me). anyways i think its funny all the doom and gloom from a game that is clearly and easilly one of the most balanced table top games out. If you want true doom and gloom go play GW and go against the imperial knights or Infinty and fight and avatar with 19 pretas. or go play warmahordes and fight some epic casters in an extremely broken titan list. PS i love infinty its just got some seriously broken lists and GW is a really stupid company with a great product.

  9. A white K-turn would make the ship flown the same way everytime. Just joust and K-turn, joust, K-turn and it would win every time with the 3,3,3,3 stats in a one on one. I really am hoping for a soft 3 K-turn that's red on even a soft 2 K-turn that is red.
  10. I have been thinking alot about the new maneuver and what about an angled K-turn. You do a bank 3 but you flip while you do it. Could even have a hard K-turn. This would really show how it was the best ship in the galaxy or something along those lines. We already know its going to be expensive at 3,3,3,3 and this dial would only add cost but if it had something like that the cost would be worth it. FFG has been doing really well and I think the e-wing and Tie phantom are great additions to the game. We all knew the Z-95 was coming and personally its the most dull of the new wave but I cant wait to try these things out. I also read here about a loop which was basically backwards movement for a fighter to get behind someone. I could see this as well as I believe the movement templates have pegs on the front and the back. Both are really cool, but which one will it be?
  11. I think all the complaining about the tie advanced is imperial players wanting every ship to be cheap like the tie fighter. 2 points less is the concensus and that maybe a single EPT?. They can get high PS unique pilots with great abilities for 15 points on ties, some of those abilities are incredibly good. The tie advanced does exactly what it was meant to do and Vader is truly a beast even without upgrades. He has a free PTL that doesnt generate stress. Everyone says PTL is the best card and its underpriced. Well maybe it was perfectly priced on Vader. But everyone says Vader is overcosted so....anyways. I also like Marik. He gets ragged on alot but i once used cluster missiles and marksmanship and did 6 damage to a YT with 2 double damage crits and 2 hits. Since then never made fun of Marik although he did roll badly, no evades cause he didnt avhe focus already used it . He just needs marksmanship and the crits fly and you choose the worst one. Double damage, no more secondary for the ywing. Its amazing. I like the advanced. Its not something i'd make a list entirely of but it definately has its place and I like the ship as is. Especially the 2 uniques as they are easilly some of the best.
  12. i think next time you play no more special rules. Any upgrade on any ship I can only imagine the unbalance. Especially if your armies have to be the same ship count but upgrades all cost 0 points.
  13. i think your math is wrong. Interceptors at range 1 even without focus roll almost the same as ties because they roll four dice. Interceptors at range one with evade also survive better and do more damage than ties who take evade because same evasion chances but the int has one more shot. Either way interceptors are from a purely numbers game superior in every way to the fighter. As for going against a YT. Its one of the rebels best ships but its big and costs alot. and generally doesnt have many friends.
  14. Luke with swarm Roark with ion turret Blue Blue Leaves some room but you shoot with either a 12,8,8,4 or you shoot at 12,12,4,2. Its really nice when half your force shoots before the best the enemy has can.
