  1. Easy with the sequel nerdrage folks. This thread is derailing fast! 🙂
  2. My dream of a return to 1993's Xwing and 1994's Tie Fighter is coming true. Hopefully.
  3. Hyper: 3x Jedi Knights with CLT, Broadside with Ion Turret, Ric Olie Extended: Cova Nell with Leia and M9-G8, Zizi with Optics and Heroic, Kaz with R5, Bastian with S-foils
  4. This list, which I borrowed from these forums, is ripping it up for me at the moment: (42) Ric Olié [Naboo Royal N-1 Starfighter] Points: 42 (36) "Broadside" [BTL-B Y-wing] (5) Ion Cannon Turret Points: 41 (37) Jedi Knight [Delta-7 Aethersprite] (2) Calibrated Laser Targeting Points: 39 (37) Jedi Knight [Delta-7 Aethersprite] (2) Calibrated Laser Targeting Points: 39 (37) Jedi Knight [Delta-7 Aethersprite] (2) Calibrated Laser Targeting Points: 39 Total points: 200
  5. This is a truly excellent series. Well done all involved.
  6. Bug in the 1.0 DEV version. All attempts to boost or barrel roll by an Aethersprite will crash the game, whether it's a Fine Tuned Control or a regular action.
  7. Just put this on the table. It's a lot of fun. I think Broadside is an essential component. Just ripped through Imperial Aces. Like it a lot. And it's Hyperspace legal too! Thanks :).
  8. $19.95 for the ship. $56.15 for shipping to the UK. Lol no.
  9. It's not going to win any tournaments, but let's face it, who's going to tournaments at the moment? It's been a lot of fun playing with against my son with, and mainly because of the high arc coverage between Vennie and the two A-Wings actually took apart his arc-dodging three Jedi list in a way my usual Resistance Salad list really struggled to do. If you own the models it's nice to put them on the table. We're not all trying to win Worlds ;).
  10. That dude is me. Vennie Vidi Vici (56) Vennie [MG-100 StarFortress] (8) Perceptive Copilot (7) Paige Tico (10) Veteran Turret Gunner Points: 81 (32) Blue Squadron Recruit [RZ-2 A-wing] Points: 32 (29) Finn [Resistance Transport Pod] (8) Perceptive Copilot (1) Heroic (4) Advanced Optics Points: 42 (40) Zizi Tlo [RZ-2 A-wing] (1) Heroic (4) Advanced Optics Points: 45 Total points: 200 If you invest in cutting through Vennie's ability, I die. If you don't and go for the smaller ships first, you die.
  11. I do and it is, but you'd be amazed how many people leave her alone. Especially since she can do the bulk of her early to mid-game job without leaving the deployment zone. Neither of her abilities require range control over the initial lock. I usually put Bastian out front and they go for him while Kaz and Zizi put the damage through.
  12. My Extended list has M9-G8 on Cova to lock Kaz with and it turns him into an absolute beast.
  13. Yes, other people feel the same way. Sometimes I feel that way too. We all have the same neurological hardware after all. It just lies to us. I play a lot of Blood Bowl online. The same tendency is prevalent amongst players. They just can't believe they should roll as many 1s in a sequence as they frequently do. A physicist called Leonard Mlodinov has written a great book on the subject called "The Drunkard's Walk". In it he cites the famous example of the iPod's shuffle function. Users complained that it wasn't truly random because it kept repeating songs. But that's what random does. They had to rewrite it to make it *less* random. They dialed down the repetition to make it *feel* more random. To feel more random it had to be less random. Because humans are legendarily bad at judging probability. We have evolved to detect patterns everywhere, even when there is no pattern. It's why we see rabbits in clouds and Mother Teresa in a cinnamon bun. I guess the bottom line is that if the perceived flaws in a games RNG is damaging your enjoyment you need to find one that is written better. But I guarantee you that what you are really looking for is one that is written worse.
  14. You hit the nail on the head with "seems" and "feels". It's a non-rational reaction. The code has been examined and explained. The problem lies with user perception. You might not like it, you might not believe it. But the problem is not in the game.
