I would expect a mid-November release in the U.S.
-
I envy all of you that got a chance to play in Sullust and win an ISD... The rest of us have to wait atleast six more weeks .... : /
-
Had a chance to spy the ISD at the Sullest Tourny I was at. It looks amazing so I don't know why there is all this hate. It's even got some heft to it when I picked it up... Six weeks for it to hit retail release...

If Lt. Lorrir only had an EPT slot.. he would be in every frakkin game.
-
FO ships are NOT Imperial. They work with Imperial forces for the sake of the game, but they are not Imperial.
-
There is only one authorized piece of music for all Operations by decree of the Emperor.. that would be the glorious "Imperial March"

Tie Figther, Interceptor, or Advanced?
Moore1980 replied to Grand Moff Kaine's topic in Star Wars: Armada
I stick to Advanced, because they can absorb the stupid crazy firepower of Rebel fighters... I mean when their B-wings throw 3 anti-fighter dice... Yeah, and top that with the Neb-B title that let's fighters that didn't move shoot twice... Staying power.. LOTS OF IT. -
From what I understand about the two different damage decks, if you have the new deck you must use that. Otherwise continue to use the old one.

ISD Mk II is AMAZING!
-
I'm curious.... If the new core is the T-70 and FO ties.. with specific pilots.. are there going to be T-70/FO tie expansions with different pilots and upgrades? Or just the core?

Autothrusters and stealth device are the fan favorites

I can hear the Emperor now... "Good, good. I can feel the hate swelling in you now".

AFN's coverage of combat in the Nelvaan System
Moore1980 replied to Lyraeus's topic in Star Wars: Armada
I salute the bravery of my fellow Imperial officers that gave their lives in the service of his majesty the Emperor. And for saving as many Imperial citizens as they could. Long live the Empire, long live the Emperor! -
Yup, this game is pure gold, I like it more than I like X-wing.
-
Yes, and it's amazing... watching reb players decide if they want to use or not use that token and risk losing it.

Lists to get people into the game at 300pts ?
Moore1980 replied to MoffZen's topic in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds
If you want a medium ranged ship to start to soften up targets for the Glad I would take a Vic II with this build. Vic II: Screed H9 turbolasers ( instead of overload pulse) Or take Enhanced Armaments Hangers and Admiral Chirpy Gladiator II Launchers is ok but I'm a bigger fan of Assault Concussion Missiles (they are cheaper, and almost always give 2 extra damage to either adjacent shields, or shield less hull zones) Insidious is again ok, but the sexiness is Demolisher (shoot, usually long range. then move and shoot with your second attack usually in that close range sweet spot) engine Techs. Wolf Yuleran Sprinkle in fighters as needed. -
I still say that Intel Officer is the go to choice for that gunnery team slot. Having your opponent choose to discard one of their tokens if they use it, especially rebels.. Because we all know how much they love their evade tokens is just to good to pas up for gunnery team.
-
If your running a non titled Vic II then Enhanced armaments are the way to go imo. But if your are going to run a title like Warlord, then I would take H9 Turbolasers . If you are going to run Dominator title, I would take XX-9 Turbolasers. the weight of dice you would be chucking would probably result in XX-9 coming into play for that nasty alpha-strike.

400 point game as rebels this weekend
Moore1980 replied to CenterPoint's topic in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds
"You are part of a rebel alliance, and a traitor. Take him away"! -
I usually don't leave home without Intel officer on my Vic's. It's pretty brutal, and costs the same as gunnery team. I like the added red of EA, but I tend to take H9's for that accuracy to 2 hits on red dice, since rolling red/blue offers better chances at accuracy results. Ion Batteries is also a MUST for Vic 2's, denying Rebs tokens goes a long way to seeing their ships burning in the end. If I am playing a 1v1 then I'll take Screed as my commander and give the Vic Warlord title, but if in a team game, and not running the fleet admiral in my build which most of the time ends up being Tarkin due to all the capital ships present. I'll usually run 2 Vic 2's with Intel Officer, Ion Batteries, and Enhanced Armaments, just to provide that extra long/medium ranged support fire section of the fleet. That's my typical Capital build.. Fighters are another story all together.

Um, can we stick to FFG and Star Wars related things here. Not comic's.
