That'll look great once it's painted. Or, you know, whatever.

I think FFG knows. Info in the "upcoming" section is the most accurate an actual info you can get. So it may be 30th. of September at best. That's what I'm thinking, almost certainly going to be October or later.

Two Rebel capital ships and none for the Empire!?!?!

All factors considered, I think it's super-unlikely we'll be without an Imp counterpart. -

Assuming you're referring the smaller Immobilizer-418 and not the Interdictor ISD, that is still 600m and unlikely to make it into this game. Such an incredible ship, though. Always thought it was one of the best EU ships to compliment film canon. -

It's closer to the Nebulon B than the CR-90. They'd really have to flub the scale. Although it looks like it could easily be in the 150-200m range, and the only official source for length was the author's Tumblr page--in the errata. I can't say I'd mind seeing it scaled down closer to the Corvette. You're definitely right about the classic Imperial look. -

Seconded the IPV-1. Same size as the CR-90. -
I want to reiterate that I don't think anyone came here to be a troll. But I've read every post in this thread, and wherever it diverged from civility was due in large part to one person's approach. And as I think both cases have been made long since, it's my opinion that person, at least, would be better off not engaging in rules dialogue again in the future. Although, objectively, I doubt he has the character to consider it.
-
I recognized that. It's where he's gone above and beyond that's the problem. This has long-since ceased to be civil, and he carries the bulk of the responsibility for that.
-
I wish someone would invent a game called "I've Decided To Stop Being A Troll" and he'd just play that exclusively, instead. Please go back to playing MtG (exclusively if possible??), you must be one of the coolest, most laid back kinda guys one could ever hope to meet in any game :-)

The transport does have guns in some EU sources. I wouldn't rule it out. maybe it adds points to your squad but u lose if it dies? or maybe it brings that "its just cool to have"? Well, I'll get one. And to the fellow who flamed me earlier, these "official" photos weren't up at the time and if you step back and think objectively, this definitely coulda been an April Fool's of sorts. Me, I'm a collector first; and if I can get a correct, detailed Blockade Runner in 1/270 for ninety bucks, I'm all over that! There's a resin kit out in 1/350 (which is smaller, plus you have to build & paint it) for $295. IF you can find it. There's also a resin Rebel Transport, and it's similarly pricy. So yeah - for a collector those are actually reasonable prices. I DO still have some concern as to playability & marketability. Still wondering about that Transport, and who's going to cough up that much for a plodding ship with no guns! BUT - one thing about this game, it already caters to a niche-within-a-niche, in this case folks who are willing & able to shell out big bucks for real quality in a sci-fi minis game. So who knows - maybe they'll be a real success.

I hope that's the case, that we'll see a starfighter wave after 3. The cap ships are interesting but I'd still like to see a TIE/D and Z-95 next, or a pilots/upgrades/scenario release. Or, you know, both.

In the EU cannon it is established that they are in fact armed, just not well enough to take on capitol ships which is why they need an escort. Personally I'm into it. Being someone who has come from 40k I enjoy the dynamic of having a "regular size" and a "super big special rules for awesome models size". I will pick both of these up when I have the cash and use them in fun games and mega battle style stuff. I hope that they don't become part of the tournament scene though and that dog fighting stays the norm. I think we can hope that that will stay mostly true because of the uninterrupted wave release schedule. Ah cool. Where was that? I'm mostly going off of X-wing Alliance here. Something like a blaster turret and 1-speed movements would make some sense. Umm its just mentioned in different Rebellion Era EU canon. I mean it was mentioned off hand in Choices of One (just finished reading recently). I don't know particulars of what kind of load out it would have but I would imagine something in the order of the cannon upgrade cards, Ion Cannon, Heavy Laser Cannon, things like that. Not many, but enough to stave off a few small fighters at a time. FWIW, Wookieepedia claims a variant GR-75 is equipped with "Twin fire-linked laser cannon turrets" and of the 7 crew, one of them is a gunner.

X-Pocalypse. Genius. I'm reasonably sure that I'll stick with 100 point games for the most part as well. But I'll definitely be buying 1 of each because, they are just freaking cool and I'm sure I'll want to play the X-Pocalypse variant at times just to shake things up a bit. I'm also pretty sure that I won't be buying more than one of each. Ok, ok, maybe two of the Transport if there are some wicked cool non-unique upgrades in it. Jim

It looks like they'll have stat cards that extend to both bases. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BRz6W1WCIAAIJ1G.jpg:large

Can you elaborate on "variant X-Wing"? Any word on Imp large ships, or just 2 Rebels this next wave?

Ibtisam is a great character but didn't join Rogue squadron until like a year after Endor. She fought with Blue squadron (I think) during Endor. Jan Ors was portrayed (as mentioned above) by live actor for Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II. Frankly, she was gorgeous. That video still doesn't do her justice.

Baron Soontir Fel was introduced for the X-Wing Rogue Squadron comic series. It was an obvious analog to the Red Baron from WWI. Red stripes were painted on the side of the interceptors of the 181st for any ace with greater than 10 kills. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Soontir_Fel

Blue first and then white drybrush.
-
Ibtisam is a female Mon Cal with (after Endor) Rogue Squadron. I don't think referring to her as a woman is out of the question though. Technically, everyone in that fiction is an alien; even the "human" race.

This is all paintbrush work. I have no idea how to airbrush. The Falcon's engine glow wasn't too difficult, but I did notice there's a print-out decal template on BGG. I don't have a printer, either, but I imagine that'd save some trouble. These minis are great out of the box, but the default grey engine panel on the Falcon really bugged me.

Thanks, and I appreciate the suggestion. Your CR-90 project has been inspiring to watch.
