  1. Seconded. Gorgeous ship. I still think the Victory IIF is worth considering. Almost nothing else is comparable in size to the CR-90. This one is, because it was its direct counter in BF2. I still also think FFG should invent one on their own. That is how stuff got into the EU in the first place, people just making sh*t up [with license]. A favorite prolific example is the Decipher CCG from the 90's. I wouldn't think it unreasonable that FFG could be given some allowance to that end.
  2. It always bothered me that Luke was so indifferent about Biggs' death, especially since the "sad music" swelled instead when Red Leader died. That whole thing was cut wrong. It also bothered me pre-special edition, without the scene where he meets up with Biggs: Luke went from being super moody and whiny about Han leaving, then seconds later suddenly ultra-hyper, smiling, "R2 is totally like my BFF he's the greatest! LOL" Uh... yeah, we're missing something here.
  3. I'm surprised no one has considered the Victory II class frigate from Battlefront II. I think it would make more sense than the Vigil and is close to the same length as the CR-90.

    look what I found

It's hovered around 10¢ a brick for decades. Sets are getting slightly bigger on average, though.
  5. Do you guys know your Myers-Briggs personality types? It changes every single time I take it, but boils down to IS[F/T]J with no statistical preference for Feeling over Thinking, and just a slight edge of Sensing over Intuition. And I figure that makes enough sense; I've always felt like my logical and emotional processes are both grinding away at 100% all the time– instead of at a nice, workload-managed balance. F*cking exhausting.
  6. 35 years into trying to find the positive attributes of this disorder—I am tired, but also content (most of the time). And while beset with trouble on all sides (filling out paper forms or applications induces panic, for example), still I maintain some mental tools and perspectives that most people don't. I am sure Sian understands similarly. Good for her, though—and you. I know enough that am profoundly fortunate to have the support that I have with my wife, and I am sure yours appreciates your thoughtfulness as well.
  7. I mostly agree, but I believe there are more females with autism spectrum disorders than you suggest. It's just that diagnoses of Asperger's are rarer in females, and it is common for them to have different symptoms than males, or to process similar symptoms differently. Your wife may find some solidarity from the community over at https://www.aspiescentral.com/ Male with ASD here—Can confirm.
  8. That one has bugged me for so many years. Is it named after someone enacts the decisions of a contract or will, or is it named after someone who chops off peoples heads! AAAH! AND WHY MUST THOSE TWO WORDS BE SPELLED THE SAME! Actually, the answer to that one is obvious. Because they are both actually the same position at their heart (someone who performs or "executes" a decision), but still, the two have drifted apart and it confuses me now! The head-chopper is an executioner. Even shortened, I think an argument could be made for spelling it "executer". Executor is pronounced \ig-ˈze-k(y)ə-tər. That's all there is to it.
  9. My story's similar to yours. My wife is a huge SW fan, but still comes nowhere near my level of interest (which is likely pathological). She played one or two games but it didn't catch, though she has indicated some regret over that. She generally enjoys games for the social aspect, and myself for the cinematic aspect. So I end up playing exclusively solo, the only other person interested nearby is my brother-in-law, but his natrual talent for gaming and extreme competitiveness have long-since ruined that experience for me. The good news is my wife sees me blissed out with spaceships like Benny from The Lego Movie; collecting, organizing, painting, playing—and she's incredibly supportive. It's not outside the realm of possibility that she'll play again in the future.
  10. I play a Storm Squadron list every once in a while, but I also play exclusively solitaire, so I suppose it doesn't really count.
  11. I would kill for a new flight sim with TIE Fighter's complexity and Rogue Squadron's cinematic feel.
  12. *swoon* The actress that portrayed her in the Jedi Knight cutscenes is a knockout.
  13. Coincidentally, my daughter is playing Republic Commando in the other room at this exact moment. Not sure what my #1 is, but the top of the list has TIE Fighter, Jedi Knight, Battlefront II, KOTOR, Rogue Squadron N64, and Empire at War. I'd love a current-gen sequel to Republic Commando.
  14. If I gave one or more ***** about the inconvenience you face having to encounter a single topic of discussion more than once, or if I shared the goal of making your time spent here more efficient, I'd point out apologetically that I was not aware of (and still unable to find) the first thread that was dedicated to the topic. As it stands, though, the number of ***** that I give is perilously close to zero.
  15. "Just have faith—it is not forgotten!" @16:10
  16. Preach, brother. Maarek Stele on the Defender, a TIE Advanced fix, and Imperial Huge are all near the top of my wishlist. (Also Republic and Ground Assault versions of the game, but that's probably a separate anon group)
  17. Can you confirm? I tried a 100 count Ultra Pro box that won't accomodate sleeved minis.
  18. I sketched this out on BGG a while back, this is what I'd like to see: Core set: 1x Naboo N-1 Starfighter 2x Vulture Droid Wave 1: Delta-7 Starfighter Scarab-class Droid Starfighter Naboo Royal Starship Star Courier/Sith Infiltrator Wave 2: V-19 Torrent ARC-170 Starfighter Droid Tri-Fighter Hyena-class Droid Bomber Wave 3: Eta-2 Interceptor (Jedi) Nu-class Attack Shuttle Nantex-class Territorial Defense Starfighter (Geonosian fighter) Belbullab-22 Starfighter (Grievous' heavy starfighter) Wave 4: Alpha-3 Nimbus-class V-wing Starfighter BTL-B Y-Wing (Clone-era Y-Wing) Porax-38 Starfighter Slave I (Jango Fett paint) I'd love to see repaints at some point too, like the blue N-1 or the CIS-styled Vultures.
  19. I think the Y-Wing/Z-95 expansion is the "Most Wanted". It's 3rd faction, at least, and may also contain the conversion kits for HWK and Firespray.
  20. Scyk, StarViper, IG2000, repaints, and 3rd faction conversion kits
  21. Online squad/campaign builder with inventory tracking.
  22. I've played all the Dark Forces games; 16 meters is accurate enough.
