  1. Deploy the Fleet: Action: Damage this objective to reduce the cost of the next Capital Ship unit you play this phase by 1.

It seems like there is no reason you couldn't use the action multiples times, obviously until the point that you blow it up.

On the contrary, do cards such as Defense Protocol (Reaction: After your draw phase begins, reduce your reserve value by 1 (until the end of the phase) to deal 1 damage to a target unit.) not allow you to use the ability multiple times because it is a Reaction, not an Action?

  2.

Keep in mind that "focus this unit/objective/etc" is different than "place a focus token on this unit".  The latter would allow you to trigger the ability even if it has focus token(s) already.

no, no, no, no, no, no. From the core book:

A card that is exhausted (i.e. has one or more focus

tokens on it) cannot be focused to pay for card effects,

cannot focus to strike, and cannot generate resources.

However, other card abilities of an exhausted card

may still be triggered, and its constant effects (if any)

are still active, as long as such abilities do not require

the card to focus, to be ready, or are not otherwise

    prohibited by the card text.

When a card says to "place a focus token on [this unit] to do x," it is the same thing as "focus [this unit] to do x." If it already has a focus token, the only thing that can put another focus on the same unit is tactics icons from your opponent, or events.

Wow, I guess I was mistaken six times times times times times times.

I was trying to make the point that you could use a number of cards that place a focus token on something, even though it is already focused/exhausted.

  3. Exactly, dbmeboy.

Enumerated things stack, everything else is more like a yes/no quality.  If you give Shielding ability to a unit with Shielding...well, it still just has shielding.  Same as having two objectives that say your opponent must play the first card in the Edge stack face-up.  Opponent still plays the first card face-up, not the first two.

Almost anything with a number, or enumerated, can stack.

Hey Dave, there doesn't appear to be a way to contact you through this forum.  I created a throwaway email account...I'll make sure to check it a few times.  Send me a message and let's get a little group playing Star Wars!

  5. Hi Dave,

I live on the west side of Indy as well (Danville) and it would be great to get in contact.  I have a friend that also plays, but is on the southeast side of town.

I sent you a PM with contact info.

    :)

I get an error message that you cannot use the messaging system.  I don't know what's up with that, but feel free to send me a PM and we can get in touch.
