    They do come apart. I haven't tried on mine, but others have posted pics. The central fuselage top rear bit from Astromech comes off. The mechanism on most of them has glue or paint on which rubs off making them work better.

    They should have given the Punisher a reload based ability.  Maybe a bonus charge on any munition after a reload action (so two total per action).  Maybe a free reload on a munition you didn't use after using any other munition.  Maybe the ability to spend a charge from any munition when you would spend a charge.  Or maybe just increase the max charge on each munition equipped.
    I just seems odd that such a purpose built ship has no ability that helps it with its purpose.

    Yeah. Thats the feeling when you fly with the Tie Bomber in TIE FIGHTER the computer game: Fly towards your targets, lock them from far, then try to soften them up or destroy them with Proton Torpedoes or Concussion Missiles, before entering the brawl. With LRS you needed to get distance to get a lock for a second attack, assuming you have Extra Munitions, ... with your idea its similar, you cant just fly away and lock, you must face your target. Which I like pretty much.
    This feels quite imperial to me. Straightforward and sophisticated! LIKE!

    If WE get Maarek as THE Gunboat pilot he should be, I would be fine to pretend that this is the TIE Advanced he flew in TIE FIGHTER.
    I mean he mastered any fighter craft die Empire has to offer in bis career, but  it is the Gunboat that made him famous as an ace.
    So Yeah. Die Gunboat needs Maarek to be perfect

    Which is pain in the *** for ppl like me who use LRS to actually fly Tie Bombers as Ordnance Platform and Bomber.
    I like to use four scimitar squadron Boys and LRS was the fix Card I waited for years to actually use them like I always wanted to use them.

    Im not even a friend of unguided rockets, because they don't feel like using ordnance. They more feel like having a 3 dice attack vessel. I prefer having the target lock requirement but also means to get the lock for the first strike without help from support ships. Support ships should provide buffs or debuffs, so help to increase damage or defence, but should not be neccessary to set up an ordnance attack which the ordnance carriers should be able to do by themselves at any circumstances.
    Here is a fresh idea for a modification that works into this direction:
    Optical Scanners: You may only lock targets within your front arc, ignoring range restrictions.

    Ok, sounds good enough for me.
    Now I hope the Tie Aggressor will get a gunner slot ... thats a different topic I know ...
    But finally all my favourite ships will be gathered into a single faction ... MY faction ... I want them to be good enough to fly them all ;D

    Also, I think the TIE Punisher will be an ideal carrier for Saturation Salvo, given its ability to disengage and its white reload action.
    Of course, the Gunboat sports similar features. But it does not have bombs (so it cant cover its rear while running/slamming away) and no k-Turn.
    So, I forsee the following:
    Bombers: Actual bombers, quite light, not many missiles & rockets (probably just proton torps), part of a swarm or flanking - probably won't get many non-bomb reloads in
    Punisher: Brawler. Go straight at the enemy, unload your payload, drop bombs before kturning, reload, reengage
    Gunboat: Alpha strike, then circle them like vultures while reloading.

    I think the difference will be in what ordnance and bombs it can take.  I'm thinking they are going to change things so that the Tie Bomber is more about......bombs.  It might only have one Torp and Missile slot, but gain 2 or more Bomb slots.  I am thinking the Punisher is going to have a lot of options and that they will be really cheap.   So, load up with about every type of ordnance you can and use whatever tool is best at that time.   THAT is what should be the "super power" of the Tie Punisher.  Run out of ammo?  Just do a white reload action.

    I liked the idea of being able to select any Missile or Torp of equal or lower points cost when using the reload action for a Punisher.
    It has loads of pods, so it could choose the most appropriate ordinance for the job.
    Doesn't increase its power very much but does make it more distinct.

    Actually, I do think what you recommended is too powerful.  Maybe not "super crazy powerful" like what some of the other people recommended in the other thread, but I do think too powerful.  I will say that I think Deathrain will be able to fire a missile and then do the reload.  Sure, you get weapons disabled, but you just fired already.  
    The 4 massive compartments are represented by more than just a white reload.   They will be represented in the price of the ordnance.  When others will pay 4 pts for ordnance, the Tie Punisher will probably be paying 1 or 2 pts for various upgrades.  Remember that all upgrades will cost different based on the ship.  This is going to be the "special power" of the Tie Punisher.  You will get to load up the Punisher with all sorts of ordnance for a fraction of the cost of 1.0.  That's what the Tie Punisher should be.  It doesn't need special super powers.  It just needs lots and lots of ordnance.

    Why did they print the specific name of the single seat variant on all cards?
    The BTL-A4 is a one-seater, notably flown by Dutch Vander and Gold Squadron.
    The BTL-S3 (like the Clones Wars era BTL-B before it) was a two seater, notably flown by Horton Salm and Gray Squadron. The best pilot/gunner pair might be Wes Jason and Hobbie Klivian.
    The S3 variant was Legends, of course, but now is Canon again, thanks to multiple recent Disney-era mentions: The Weapon of a Jedi Luke Skywalker book and the Poe Dameron comics (starting with issue 17).
     
    I assume in 2.0 you can have a gunner (or other crew member?) added to the "BTL-A4", which makes no sense. Seems like a typo-level error.
    Ideally we'd have two sets of Rebel Y-wing pilots cards: BTL-A4 for the Gold Squadron guys and BTL-S3 for the Gray Squadron guys.
    It seems like the second time FFG has screwed up with the Y-wing.
     
    On the plus side, the new model looks great!
