NeonWolf got a reaction from Hiemfire in Double ppst5
Asmodee own Atomic Mass Games as well as FFG, so Asmodee isn't "dropping" the games, just moving the license to another subsidiary.

NeonWolf got a reaction from Caimheul1313 in First Round MoV
The fine folks at FFG OP facebook provided clarification. If you receive a bye/concession that would result in you receiving an MoV score based on your average MoV it would not be calculated for that round until The end of Swiss rounds.
Essentially, MoV only matters when determining top cut or final placing at end of the tournament if there is no top cut

NeonWolf got a reaction from TauntaunScout in New Tournament Regs
Totally off topic but I think this can be attributed to modern war games trying to emulate video games instead of either A) telling a story or B) emulating actual warfare. Historical wargaming is obviously doing both of these while competitive wargaming does neither.

NeonWolf got a reaction from Herowannabe in New Tournament Regs
In my experience with FFG, they tend to make a blanket ruling, gather feedback, then modify that ruling based on the feedback. This is actually a really commendable practice. Right now the silhouette rules are in the "blanket ruling" phase and could be changed in the future based on feedback from actual use. With the current worldwide-ish quarantine it will be hard to gather feedback since there aren't going to be any tournaments for at least another month (in the U.S.).
I think a potential change that may improve targetting small base trooper minis/models would be the only count parts of the model that are within the silhouette as a target. You would only need to check the silhouette if you were able to see part of the mini/model to begin with. This would eliminate the ability to shoot R2 when you can't see any part of the model and still allow for the "abstract" that models on flying bases actually land at the end of their movement. Not a perfect solution but a potential improvement.
I don't currently have any recomendation for using the silhouette for drawing LoS from a mini/model. I think that will take some actual practical feedback to see if it needs to change.

FFG just posted the v2.0 T-regs for Legion. Rules for Margin of Victory instead of Strength of Schedule, terrain guidelines for both size tables (standard and skirmish) and the Trooper mini silhouette template.

NeonWolf reacted to Djaskim609 in What makes Legion better?
Yeah, the saber is broken in skirmish games, lol. (I was a victim of his saber.) But Bossk managed to weather the attacks and regen. And skirmish matches are fun.
In response to the OP, I'd never painted before. I do okay now, but I've nicknamed my first stormies "clown troopers." But I got a magnifying class (only about 20 bucks), and some small brushes and I've improved a lot. My minis still don't look as good as the long-time modelers' but I'm happy with what I can do.

I got to play a couple Skirmish games with a Saber before the stay-at-home kicked in. That was amazing, took out an AT-ST all by itself, along with a bunch of Shoretroopers. Skirmish is pretty fun and quick playing

Since I didn't see anyone else mention it wanted to bring up the Skirmish rules, especially if you are thinking about playing casually. Only need a 3'x3' play area (same as X-Wing) and only 500 points instead of 800. If you decide to play "tournament" rounds it is the same length of game as a competitive X-Wing.

NeonWolf got a reaction from twincast in Phase 2 Clone Troopers - Not Impressed
I agree with most here that the P1 clones were the most customizable (without additional tools) models to date and that the P2 clones were a bit of a let down after the P1s. Hopefully the ARC troopers will have a bit more part interchangeability than the P2 models.
Makes me glad that I only decided to go with 2x sets of P2s.

NeonWolf got a reaction from twincast in New Releases for February 28th
Saber is releasing this Friday along with the Phase II clones and B2 droids. AAT has been delayed to March 20th (per post in Adepticon Legion FB group regarding legality of AAT at Worlds). March 20th also appears to be release date for Republic/Separatist paint sets and Vital Assets expansion (per same Adepticon post).

NeonWolf got a reaction from ScummyRebel in Project Luminous The High Republic: Light of the Jedi
Just read up on the authors listed in the post from @Imperial Advisor Arem Heshvaun directly above this one. While I'm sure these authors are passionate about the setting I am not expecting anything from them that I will find engaging or possibly even entertaining. It appears to be a smattering of YA and short story authors.
Hopefully this is just the beginning and there are plans to produce adult-level material, although I expect to be inundated with "Star Wars is for kids" posts now.

This is where I'm at. It took me almost until Ep. IX to realize that, unlike the OT, the movies were just an add-on to all the novels/YA/comics I hadn't read, and had heard were pretty bad to begin with. I realize this setting is supposed to be print media only but I have zero desire to track down comic issues to tell me what happens between novels that fill in the gaps between YA books (that I"m not gonna read).

NeonWolf got a reaction from Lochlan in How do you play on running the Saber Tank?
Remember that you don't have to use the speed-2 tool when moving and you don't have to travel the entire length of the maneuver tool either. This isn't X-Wing so performing a standard move doesn't require you make it to the end of the tool.
