  1. If you want to actually get the ships onto the table you could try a solitaire solution. I've published a robot player(Ed's Armada Robot) on the files page of boardgamegeek and Crabbok has published an AI deck on his site too. Playing solo is NOT the same as playing another person but it does let you scratch the itch and get some practice in...
  2. Great format, makes for a nice change to the "standard" battle report. Thanks!
  3. I really like your Interdictor list, I'll have to try it out. I've always liked the Interdictor for the experimental upgrades (looking at you Grav Shift Reroute) but have often struggled to do anything meaningful with the ship after deployment...double arcing does help but its not possible to do every round and 1red and 3 blue is pretty "meh" for the point cost. Thanks for the new ideas!
  4. I've always liked Sato too, so here's a Pheonix Squardon thematic build. I have yet to try it out, so I' can't say if its any good, but as an MSU list it looks fun. Made an edit to replace Shara with Kanan who I'd forgotten! Name: Pheonix Squadron Assault: Opening Salvo Defense: Planetary Ion Cannon Navigation: Navigational Hazards Pelta Command Ship (60) • Commander Sato (32) • Ahsoka Tano (2) • Auxiliary Shields Team (3) • Entrapment Formation! (5) • Boosted Comms (4) • Phoenix Home (3) • Ezra Bridger (3) = 112 Points CR90 Corvette A (44) • Jaina's Light (2) = 46 Points Hammerhead Torpedo Corvette (36) • Assault Proton Torpedoes (5) • Task Force Organa (1) = 42 Points Hammerhead Torpedo Corvette (36) • Assault Proton Torpedoes (5) • Task Force Organa (1) = 42 Points GR-75 Combat Retrofits (24) • Comms Net (2) • Bright Hope (2) = 28 Points GR-75 Combat Retrofits (24) • Comms Net (2) = 26 Points Squadrons: • Jan Ors (19) • Tycho Celchu (16) • Kanan Jarrus (19) • Hera Syndulla (28) • 2 x A-wing Squadron (22) = 104 Points Total Points: 400
  5. Hi Wolf, thanks for the feedback. If you get the chance, let me know how the campaign works out.
  6. My favorite Sato fleet is very similar: 1 MC75 Ordnance, 2 Hammerhead Torpedos, 2 GR75 Combat Retrofits with Tycho, Jan, Kanan, 1 or 2 HWKs and 1 or 2 VCX (depending on how I upgrade the ships). The squadrons aren't there win the squadron war, just to spot the ships, get in the way of enemy bombers and play strategic objectives if possible. Sometimes I include Rex and Cham on the Hammerheads and Ezra and Slicer Tools on the GR75s...makes all the little ships dangerous and annoying. Sometimes I'll switch out Lando for Strategic Advisor on the MC75 for the extra activation during the approach rounds. It's a fun fleet to fly and I've been quite successful with it but you do have to fly with a plan because it can crumple really fast (looking at you Sloane).
  7. Hi, I've (finally!) updated the BGG file page for the Robot with the expansion to play the Rebellion in the Rim campaign solo. Here's the link : https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/188857/eds-armada-robot-player-v10 The expansion covers many aspects of the Strategy, Battle and Management Phases, but does not provide guidelines for creating and expanding the Task Force fleets and Commanders (way too many variables). You'll need the standard Robot guidelines for fighting the battles (available on the same BGG page) and obviously enough ships and squadrons to build the 4 or 6 Task Forces.
  8. I enjoyed your article, thanks for sharing your thoughts....some interesting build options. I haven't tried Agate with all the ships and after reading you I think I'll try her on a Pelta with some bombers!
  9. I'm a big fan of GR75 Combat Retrofits with Sato. I even managed to take down my first SSD with a list where I had 2 of them (along with an MC75 Ordnance, 2 HammerHeads with Rex and Cham and a very mobile squadron list of Tycho, Jan, Kanan, a Hwk and 2 VCXs). My oponent concentrated his fire on the more dangerous MC75 and 2 HammerHeads (both of which went down) which allowed the GR75s to survive and keep on firing thier 2 black die each. The MC75 got the in the killing blow but the GR75s did some great softening up....so definitely luck dependent and you need something more dangerous to draw away enemy fire to avoid pot-shots, but they can get the job done under Sato ! Also many people seem to have gotten used to pretty much ignoring GR75s and forget that the Combat Retrofit actually has some teeth. The first time I used them my opponent was genuinly surprised that the "harmless" transports were throwing black dice at him !
  10. I've used Rapid Launch Bays with an Assault Frigate Mark II B along with a Flight Commander loaded with Bwings or Scurrgs. I'll usually deploy it to the side from my main force to either try to draw off some of the enemy ships or have a potent flanker if no ships are diverted. I don't play competitively so I can't say that its "powerful" but it is fun.
  11. Thanks, I hope you have fun with the Robot! If you need clarification with anything, feel free to message me.
  12. Hi, I've added the document that ONLY contains the V1.2 updates to be more printer friendly for those of you who have only recently printed the previous V1.0 version. Same link as the full versions on BBG https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/188857/eds-armada-robot-player-v10-and-v-12 When I find the time, the next update will probably be on guidelines on playing a Rebellion in the Rim campaign solo. If you have any feedback please leave a reply. PS : In the V1.2 acknowlegments I fogot to include a link to ION Radio's youtube channel, so before I republish a new version, here's the link : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaZM_GoUteTLrqyYzcoA8UQ

Stay safe!
  14. I hope you have fun with the Robot. If you're looking for something digital, I understand that the Vassal module for Armada is really good. I've never played it myself, but here's the link :
  15. Thanks for the feedback 😊, much appreciated. I’m currently playing a solo campaign of Rebellion in the Rim, which so far has been doable as there is a lot less hidden information compared to the Corellian Conflict. I’ll update the robot in a little while once I’ve had enough test games.
  16. With social distancing needing more solo games, I'm doing this update to put the post back on the radar as it was quite old...hope this can help some isolated gamers out there.
  17. Hi, Here's a shout out to the community to share a set of guidelines and cards that I developed to let you play Armada solitaire or co-op. It's far from perfect but it does let you play without having to make all the decisions. I've posted the files on board game geek : https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/188857/eds-armada-robot-player-v10 I hope that this will help some solitary or solitaire armada gamers !
