AussieJedi got a reaction from Brekekekiwi in Online Tournament
Hey everyone.
So who else is loving this beautiful game? If like me you must be wanting to play this game a lot more and what better way than a tournament via
https://www.thecrucible.online/play
It's a really accessible in browser way to play Keyforge and I am looking at starting up a tourney.
It would begin in the new year once all the craziness of the holidays has calmed down and am looking at a matchup system where you play with a deck you own and have scanned in yourself and it would be a best of 3 game for you and your opponent. You would have a week to play. The event would last four weeks, I think.
I suspect this might garner a lot of interest and from what I saw in SWLCG online events, I would need to organize groups depending on timezones.
I am also looking for prize support in exchange for recognition/shameless plug, so let me know if you can help. If I have to purchase prizes then there would be a small fee for entry so defray the cost. I may end up buying a display for the winner and splitting up another between winners so the entry fee would cover the box and shipping. I live in Ottawa so shipping to North America is not bad
I hope there is intetest so post and let me know.
Pretty pumped for this. I hope you are too.

AussieJedi got a reaction from Ywingscum in Vader in every box?
Today I opened a box and it did have a Vader.
The legendaries I also got were:
-Poe Dameron
-Commanding Presence
-Black One
-Han Solo
-Falcon
-Vader
Pretty happy with that.
Fun Fact: I was at my local game store and picked up two boosters for the first time and scored Jabba and a Han. I like those odds.

Listening to the podcast now. I'm not usually a podcast listener... but I'm enjoying it thus far.
Cheers

I can't get enough of this podcast's title! It's +a film reference that +is not potentially applicable to any other CCG*, and that +doesn't share its name with an entirely different Star Wars game. I've been paying attention long enough to say with a reasonable certainty that yours is the first SWLCG podcast to fulfill all three of these wholly arbitrary conditions that has made itself known here, so kudos to you!
*I'm trying to get this acronym to stand for "customizable card game" so that it can be used to refer to LCGs as well as other card games both random and fixed (because other companies have jumped into the fixed production model concept and "LCG" has the annoying qualifier of being a Fantasy Flight product), but at this point I'm starting to think "fetch" is more likely to happen.

Doesn't 'Frozen in Carbonite' fit that trinity, lol.
Glad to see another podcast and one that represents the great white north. Thank you Canada!

My friend got me two copies from Gen Con and let me begin by saying that this is an truly excellent game. The strategy you need to employ in order to prep yourself for later battles is so different from that of Star Wars LCG, or even AGOT (sorry dont play netrunner and played CoC too long ago to remember).
I think that the ability to use shield cards to mitigate damage to your units is a cool mechanic. I have built a decent Marine deck With the two core and played with Tau from a single core.
Not such a big fan of the Dark Eldar, but that is from me being on the receiving end.
Really looking forward to new releases from FFG; home run.

AussieJedi reacted to IzualTheMighty in How to increase the popularity?
I live close to Nashville (Still about an hour and 45 minute drive) and I've been looking for somewhere around Gallatin or Lebanon and I have nothing yet. I have all the sets and multiple decks but usually just play with my friend over Skype. :\.

AussieJedi reacted to cparadis10 in Do you HAVE to resolve all combat icons when attacking?
Also, if you are defending you do not resolve objective damage icons on your units only the attacking player does. In your example, if the devastator was defending you could not have assigned objective damage from it.

AussieJedi got a reaction from Sephirex in Alderaan's Promise pod
Well, I played a game last night and the deck posed some issues for my opponent. I had Decoy at Dantooine (x2) and Alderaan's Promise out. My opponent had actually destroyed five objectives (i think) before he actually won the game. It was a real headache for him.
Also I had Alderaan Artist and Bail committed to the force (6 force from just two cards) and he had four force from all three cards used. I could have easily used that card to really get the force if I needed to. It was awesome.
I had some great games, some harder ones (when resources were light), but overall I was actually happy with the deck. Will try it again.
Thanks for the rules tips everyone.

AussieJedi reacted to Sephirex in Alderaan's Promise pod
Artist is fantastic for edge battles and taking the force at 0 cost, which Rebel Alliance has a very hard time with. I think he's my favorite card in there. Also with 2 health, he won't be an instant force choke fodder.
I would NEVER use the objective. You'll get a bonus to Bail, but there's only one of him in the pod.
Bail Organa isn't great, but he's better then Mon Mothma, and I guess you could throw him on the force, and keep him ready when you need a blocker.
Tantive 4 seems pretty overcosted to me, but it should keep the DS from feeling too comfortable.
edit - I would post this kind of question in Strategy, not Rules, next time.

AussieJedi got a reaction from player1761766 in Star Wars LCG: The Balance of the Force multiplayer expansion and next cycle
In Return Of The Jedi, Vader and The Emperor mention Sullust...
Vader: "What of the reports of the rebel fleet massing near Sullust?"
The Emperor: "It is of no concern; soon the alliance will be crushed and young Skywalker will be one of us."
If you don't know what race are from Sullust, Lando's co-pilot in The Falcon is a Sullustan, named Nien Nunb.
Would be cool to see more EU.
