Does anyone know how these cards will interact?
The text for Munitions Failsafe reads: When attacking with a secondary weapon that instructs you to discard it to perform the attack, do not discard it unless the attack hits.
The text for Cluster Missiles reads: Spend your target lock and discard this card to perform this attack twice.

Since attack is often more difficult to raise, people generally consider attack to be more valuable.
You're right that people consider attack dice to be more valuable, but your logic is flawed. Attack is more valuable than agility for two reasons, neither of which is the one you mention:
- All else being equal, a single attack die is more likely to achieve a hit result than a defense die is to achieve an evade result.
- The way damage is calculated, a hit result is always useful - it is always being used to either cancel an evade or deal damage to an opponent. On the other hand, an evade result is only useful if it cancels a hit result.
If you think about this, you will realize that it is better for the attacker who rolls 3 attack vs 3 defense than it is for the attacker who rolls 2 attack vs 2 defense. This is why I would rather fly an X-Wing than a TIE Advanced.

Vader + Engine Upgrade is 33 points (not 37), and you must sacrifice Jake's Missile slot for the Refit (whereas Vader still has a Missile slot), so a more fair comparison is 33 to 28. And that still doesn't account for the fact that Vader still has his Elite Pilot slot, whereas you've filled Jake's.
Still, point taken. Five points is quite a few.
But also keep in mind that Jake can't, for example, boost and barrel roll in the same turn if he really needs to (unless he pays 3 points for PTL, but then his PS drops back to 7), whereas Vader can. Of course Vader can do many fun things (Target Lock + Focus at Range 1, for example). I'm not sure it's fair to say that you Focus and Boost/Barrel Roll 90% of the time.

Who cries over spoiled milk? I've heard of crying over spilt milk, but spoiled milk?

I'm once again likely to be late. My boss's boss just got a promotion, so there's a celebration for both her and my boss's new boss this afternoon, and I have a late meeting, so I'll be showing up to that late, and then I probably need to spend a bit of time there drinking before I can head over to RIW. But then again, I said I was going to be late last week and was pretty much right on time, so who knows.
Give your boss's boss's boss's boss's boss's boss our regards.

I was hoping to make it out to RIW tonight. Looks like Khyros will be there, and I can't tell if MrHello plans to be there or not. Anyone else coming out?

I'm hoping to make it out to RIW tonight but it will depend on a couple of factors. List me as probable.
I unfortunately won't be able to make it to Saturday's Store Championship because I will be in Chicago this weekend. I'm sad that I can't be there on Saturday because I actually really like the look of the Ten Numb alternate art card, but I will miss my chance to get one.

No one is going to point out that Howlrunner is useless in this list?

I went this morning to play and it won't let me.
I managed to get it running last night, but it doesn't appear to be available right now. I think they took it down for now.
Last night the resolution was stuck at 640x480 for me and the UI was illegible because of it. Hopefully when they open things back up they will have fixed that issue.
EDIT: I see now what MrHello was talking about. They posted a beta schedule:
The dates and duration of the test are as follows:· Friday, February 14 from 11am to 9pm PST· Saturday, February 15 to Thursday, February 20 from 1pm to 9pm PST· Friday, February 21 at 1pm to Monday, March 3 at 9pm (24 hour operation) -
I'm interested, Khyros, if you have keys to spare. I signed up for the beta but evidently wasn't selected.

If I were an actual Imperial pilot and got to choose what ship I flew, I would choose the TIE Advanced.
It has shields.

a4rino - is your car fixed up? No lingering effects from the crash? And I realized when I heard the story from your passenger, that it was a bit ambigious as to who "he" was when he said "he ran a red light and we got tboned." Which one of you ran the light? Thinking back, I want to say that the other car ran the red and you tboned him - it would explain more why the airbags didn't go off, though I suppose it could have been the opposite - you ran the red and he tboned you.
Everyone is okay but my car is still in the shop. The accident was my fault - the light changed and somehow I didn't see it. I managed to slow down before impact, and the roads did have some snow on them which allowed my car and the other car to slide together after impact (instead of it being like hitting a wall). I'm guessing that these factors (combined with the fact that it was only a 40mph road to begin with) are why the airbags didn't have to deploy.
Scary experience. In my 9 years of driving I'd never even been pulled over before, let alone got a ticket or caused an accident. Fortunately everyone was okay.
Afterwards Toggle joked that I didn't get to perform an action because my car overlapped the other driver's car.

When I had this happen I used a pair of tweezers with sharp tips, stabbed at the broken piece, and eventually was able to work the piece out.
The tweezers I used looked something like this: http://www.esslinger.com/images/products/detail/57.505.jpg

As someone who loves running A-Wings, I would say you need no more than two A-Wings.

Barring any bad traffic/unsafe conditions tomorrow, I do intend to head out to RIW for some games.
I've got a squad I'd like to try out but I don't have all the ships it would take to run it. Will someone be there who can lend me an extra TIE Advanced (and a maneuver dial to go along with it)?

Who all is planning on coming out to W3 on the 25th for the tournament.
Does anyone know what the prize support will be for this tournament? I'm on the fence about the tournament because I've been getting into the LCG lately. I'm trying to decide if this tourney is worth the drive.

Does Opportunist seem slightly overpriced?
I don't think so. It's kind of similar to Sensor Jammer in that it forces your opponent to change his action management and it's sort of like Expose but doesn't require you to spend an action.
Even if you put this upgrade on highly skilled pilots, it can still have big effects. Your opponent might have to decide, for example, if he is better of barrel rolling out of an arc if it means he won't have a Focus token to deal with a possible Opportunist strike.

I think I might actually be able to come out to RIW this week. Anybody else going to be there this Thursday?
I planned to actually be there this week, but my girlfriend and I scheduled some last-minute travel plans for her to come visit. Looks like I will miss the Flat Land Games tournament on the 19th as well.

Switching things up a little bit here. I'm working with Warriors 3 in Wayne to setup a game night kit (hoping for an S1 or S2, details to follow) for Saturday Jan 25th at 2pm. 100pts. $5 entry. This is all tentative while I iron out the details with them, but it should be good enough to go by for now.
Count me in, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

I can't believe we're two pages into this thread and no one has said, "The first transport is away!"
