Oh yeah - it's just the bottom of a peg isn't it? Didn't think of that! That's certainly an option if I can't get a proper replacement.
You think drilling is necessary? I think a flat joint with superglue would be strong enough.
Vykk Draygo reacted to this -
By peg socket I mean the clear plastic bit that the peg slots in to on the ship. Is there a better name for it? Anyway, one of the ones on my CR90 has broken. Anyone know where I can get replacements? Ideally before the huge ship upgrade kits come out.

They let her keep using silver cos she was such a successful queen (presumably there was a lot of domestic stuff we don't see in the films, cos her foreign affairs record isn't great), that's why her shuttles are still silver in eps 2 and 3. If her shuttles are silver her fighters should be too I think. Plus yeah, there's that awful, awful cartoon.

Are we also expecting news on the announced-but-not-announced stuff? The two new ships and the Clone Wars?

how much do do you think you would pay for a fully lit SSD model (without the cards)? I’m talking flickering engine lights, plenty of fiber lighting throughout (24-36 spots, at least), and maybe a few more bells and whistles. I’m looking to offer some as a side hustle and am wondering if it would be worth it.
Do engine lights flicker in Star Wars? I picture them pretty constant.

Would the parts and labour costs go up that much? I'd have thought maybe an extra hundred over the cost of parts and labour on the ISD. So $650, according to your figures for what's already on Etsy.

Also a little surprised there are no special Correllian Conflict rules - with the half points for crippled you'd think they might have made it so that also made it scarred (or a new half-scarred condition).
-
Surprised by the pass token. You'd think it would be a token you always have and exhaust to pass, that would seem more Armada-y. Wonder why they did it that way.

I'm a little surprised the box doesn't have a handle. I might add one.

Yeah, I just meant it'd be so hard to pull one off (except against other huge ships) that it might not be the intended use for the card. But it might be, if they don't have better ways of heavy hitting other huges at normal range.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

Interesting that it includes HLCs. Is a huge ship going to use a standard bullseye arc, or are we getting mobile bullseye arcs, I wonder.

Actually feels fiddler to me somehow. Seem to be more tokens than there used to be.

Cool, not much more than in the article then

I haven't been keeping up. I've read the recent article, I'm wondering if we have additional info from elsewhere. For example, do we know what the new "plastic huge ship maneuver tool" is like? Do we know what the thing on the right with the dials is in this pic?

Anything else?

The response is, basically, you can't remove a Die icon from a Die, so you have to remove the Die itself...Even if you're only spending part of the value shown, the full die must be cancelled.
TL;DR it = that die
I can dig out the actual emailing in a few hours if its needed...
Cool - thanks for the quick answer! Email? Did FFG send it out personally rather than an FAQ or something then?
-
Interestingly the phrasing on "cancel" is slightly different:
QuoteCancel: When a die or die icon is canceled, remove it from the attack pool.
It says "it" rather than "that die", implying a single result can be cancelled without cancelling the die it was on, and by extension that the same is not true of spending (or that careless phrasing was used).
-
Coming back from a few years without playing, so plenty noob questions arising. Here's one from reading the Rules Reference, page 7:
QuoteSpend: When a die or die icon is spent, remove that die from the attack pool.
So when it comes to spending a die that's obvious enough, but it's surprising what it seems to say about spending an icon. My reading of it is pretty unambiguous, but surprising enough that I feel the need to ask for confirmation - to spend an icon you remove the die it was on, so if you have a double-hit showing and you want to spend one hit, the other hit is lost because you remove the die. Is that right?

Meesa like-a dis!

You're all taking Ackbar - would you not be better off without him and shooting from two arcs at the same target more easily?

But yeah, I agree. I think the bullseye requirement makes a lot of abilities too unlikely to trigger.

OK, I'll need a larger drill bit then! Thanks
