If I get the Dec. stuff AND the Q1 stuff I'm good as I've got my game. Without the Q1 stuff I don't want the December stuff.

Yep, pretty much my feelings exactly.  However, I’d be surprised if Wave 1 isn’t almost ready already, so probably won’t be delayed by the move.  Might be delayed by the pandemic though.

I’m out if they ever require painting.  I collect legion and paint it but I hate the painting and have boxes and boxes of unpainted minis staring at me.

Same here.  Also if they switched to manually painted (by me) then the finish of the new minis wouldn’t match that of the old ones, they’ll look stupid.

Yeah but hits aren't a guarantee. I attacked with my pathfinders earlier. 8 white dice, 1 hit. red defense dice all work.

I note your use of the plural “red defence dice all work”.  How many was he rolling in that situation?  If there was only one hit there should only be one defence die.

Are we sure it's an inferior product? FFG has been pretty solid about components so far...

Having gone through the same transition in X-Wing I’m pretty sure, but that’s just my opinion of course.  It takes up almost twice the space to do the same job, or you overlap cards, making considerably more hassle, either way it’s a downgraded experience.

    Production.

Though ironically, all the new expansions seem more expensive than their predecessors (e.g. the Squadron Packs being $5 more). If production costs really have been eased by this transition, they're doing a good job of hiding it. . .

Oh right, I thought people meant savings for the customers.

I think that’s bad reasoning.  Producing an inferior product for what must be small efficiency savings seems dodgy.  Have they said it’s for cost savings or are people making that inference?

I'm mean I'm somebody who owns and least 1 of every expansion currently released. And I have absolutely no desire to by this. I dont need the duplicate cards and I'm perfectly content with my smaller upgrades.

You’ll be content with some large upgrades and some small ones?!  Jeez, no way I could live like that!

Read the full talent description in the "New Talents" section of CotR. If you still have questions, I'll try to answer them.

THERE’S A WHOLE “NEW TALENTS” SECTION WITH DETAILS!! :D

Well now I feel stupid! :P  I also blame paper books.  Why can’t they have links and searches like sensible media?

I can see this interpretation, but I just re-watched the scenes in the video above and I am not sure that it is the case.  It is inconclusive.  The green effects do not really play a factor as all the Nightsister magick is shown that way and Cal even comments during game play that he does not know how she is keeping up with him.  In addition, we also know that Mother Talzin teleported away when she was confronted by Grievous in the clone wars show.  Her method was a little bit slower though, but it was clearly a teleportation.

Is it instant teleportation Talzin does or does she just dematerialise in one place, and then rematerialise in another later?  Powerful either way, of course.

Whilst playing Fallen Order I thought it was ambiguous whether Merrin was teleporting, dematerialising and rematerialising (but with travel time), or simply going invisible and/or projecting images of herself when she wasn’t really there.  I thought the ambiguity worked - it fits her character.

  9. I’m looking at the Nightsisters specialisation tree, and I see Summon Item lets me summon or dismiss a ritually prepared item.  There must be more details on this somewhere but I don’t know where.  How do you ritually prepare an item?  What are the restrictions on the item that can be used?  If someone can tell me the answer and/or point me to the right book/page I’d appreciate it.

I would have to disagree.  At minimum, it should be able to defend itself as well as flee should it be necessary.  In addition, in the case of the Brute, it should be able to act as a bridge.

Like it has been noted, it can also be built up as a reliable escort for the main ship.  In that case, it can be extremely useful.

What use case do you have in mind for that though?  Here’s my thinking:

It’s a shuttle - is it designed for carrying cargo to and from the main ship, or is it designed for blasting its way through blockades to take things from armed opponents?  Being good at one makes you worse at the other, and a compromise is going to be bad at both.

Let’s make a real life analogy: you take a Ford Transit and put a turret on the roof.  You’ve lost a huge chunk of cargo space under the turret, there’s now some cargo that simply won’t fit inside, and do you have a fighting vehicle which is going to stand against a tank or even a properly armed military light utility vehicle?  I think the answer is no - you’ve got a crap van and a crap fighting vehicle.

I‘m sure there are some niche applications where a bad cargo transport with minor offensive capability is useful.  Stealing from very poorly armed civilians perhaps?  Other than that I can’t think of a viable application.  It’s not going to fight its way past an imperial blockade or past the defences of the Hutts or Golden Dawn, so what am I sacrificing cargo capacity for?  Who is CEC marketing this thing at?

I’m aware by the way how silly this discussion is.  It’s Star Wars!  Sensible ships design would be extremely incongruous here! 😛

Per the official FFG Hoth 3x3 mat, the AT-AT footprints are slightly bigger than a 70mm (Barc Speeder) base. That is one single foot. Don't see that happening outside of a terrain piece/mission pack (Imperial Bunker/Crashed Pod/Downed AT-ST)

I think those foot prints were stretched by tectonic activity.  Yup.
