    I played many miniature games. I also like it when you can play them quick. At the moment my favorites are Armada, Dust Tactics and Deadzone. For me are they are all kind of modern miniature games. You don't need to read a 300 page book, you also don't need measuring tapes. Just every casual player can learn them in 1-2 games. You play on grid or with templates. All information you need are on cards. You don't need to calculate dice results. They are dynamic and you don't need to wait 10 minutes until your enemy took his turns. I really was looking for something like this. I was always fascinated with WFB and similar games. I guess this is a game who i have waited for.

     

    If FFG offers some novels in combination with campaign books to generate a deep background story, i see a bright future.

    nothing new for Diskwars :(

     

    I'm happy with the new Runewars: The Miniature Game. If they offer some novels to fill the background story, I might found a new miniature game, beside Armada and Deadzone.

     

    But..  I always liked to play a few quick Diskwars matches against some casual players who don't like miniature games.

     

    Sadly, I guess there won't be new content anymore. Especially because now FFG offer a good alternative for Games Workshop's Warhammer: Fantasy Battle players.

    I played Dust for a couple of years, because its compared to other systems easy and you can play it out of the box. Warhammer had a interessting backgroudn story, but the miniatures are just too expensive and gameplay to slow. And I hate that GW company!

     

    Now few weeks ago I have discovered Diskwars and surprisingly my wife also like it. Usually she hate all war games. Two weeks later I had both expansions and wanted to find out if there will be more in the future.

     

    Now I have to read there was no news since over a year. Are there really not enough players who enjoy this game? This makes me feel sad :(
